His Witch Queen-Chapter 195: Alice at stake!

The words startled Cyrus as he never expected Flora to betray her mother for the sake of her lover. "So, now that she has stood on her words, will you help her to marry her lover?"

"I will not deviate from my promise. If she can take such a big step, why not me? Also, it will not be any difficult task. On the other hand, I’m saving her from any worst marriage with an old man."

"I believe you."

Cyrus hugged Alice with much force and he kept his face in the pouch of her neck. He inhaled her fragrance, finding his mind going absolutely free from any suffering.

"You know, I have one more piece of news for you." Cyrus told Alice, only to receive an answer, "Good or bad?"

"Very good."

"Then, tell me"

"I have gathered the army."

His words brought the happiness to glitter in Alice’s heart. She lifted her head to look up in the direction of Cyrus and rotated her head with the fine smile flashing through her lips. "A-are you serious?"

"Yes." Cyrus passed her a soft nod and in return Alice squeezed his hand. There was utmost joy placing itself with her mind growing firm. "That’s seriously so good! But how..? Which kingdom did help you?"

Cyrus didn’t let Alice escape from his embrace. He caressed her face sadly before responding back, "Your father introduced me to some human kingdoms. Initially, many were reluctant. But when I told them that I wish to sustain peace among the humans and vampires, they all agreed."

"After all, the population of both the races is huge. At some point, if I rule the Gazelle Kingdom, which is the biggest, then it will be easy to dominate the other kingdoms and so will happen as your father is already here in the human land. Both won’t mix but at least, won’t be in such a wary state with each other."

Cyrus’s explanation was easily bought by Alice. However, she still found it hard to talk about the mere fact that her father took such a drastic step to introduce him as his son in law.

Knowing that her father wasn’t very fond of him still breathed in her mind. But he could see the distinct care he put forward because he married her.

King Vilas absolutely saw the glow on his daughter’s face due to this vampire and he will not let his witch daughter be left in the care of anyone else.

As Alice’s heart was still blooming with the flowers, Cyrus dropped another bomb, "But I will need to leave tomorrow for another kingdom."

Hearing this, Alice raised her brows, "Earlier, you said that you had gathered your army. So, why do you need to leave for another kingdom?"

"This time, I’m talking about the Ontex empire." Cyrus made Alice remember and her eyes subdued at the realization drawing her mind, "The same where we found Kian?"

"That’s the one."

"But what is the need to be there?"

Alice didn’t wish to admit it but her heart grew rapidly. Recalling the news that her father told her were still consuming her.

She knew that King Almen was rapidly in search of Cyrus. It was said that there is a huge amount as a reward on the one who drags him to Gazelle kingdom. However, if Cyrus sets his foot back into a vampire kingdom such as Ontex ,won’t King Almen be alerted too if his ears caught the news of his presence?

She waited for Cyrus to explain. But in return, there was no flow of words in her way. "Don’t worry my love..." said all he said when he brought her and tugged them behind her ears.

His soft gestures rarely touched her heart despite her multiple attempts to not show her worry.

But then, Alice’s heart craved to say, "Can I come with you tomorrow then?" To this, Cyrus passed her a stern shook. "No, Alice. Let me handle this on my own."

"B-"

"We have a long way to go. This is just the minute step so let me take care of it. Wait for my arrival back in the kingdom.."

FIVE DAYS PASSED!

Alice had no news of Cyrus in her hand. Each morning, she looked forward to his arrival. But in the end, she had to retard to her bed empty handed too.

Last five days were hectic. She tried to divert her mind to other tasks as well. But it’s extremely hard to process when she knows her husband’s life is at stake.

Right now, Alice stood at the top of the castle. This was the same place where Cyrus had told her that she would need to go for the Ontex Empire. It gave a clear view of the outside of their Palace’s Gates too. She could see their soldiers lined up for any danger but there was no presence of someone else.

But then, she felt a hand on her shoulder which made her rotate her head, "Father..."

"Go and take a look at the work of the counselor. He wishes to talk to you about some revenue of the town." King Vilas assigned her the work and without delay, Alice left the space.

In the same spot now stood King Vilas and General Shane. They both were very much aware about the fear of Princess Alice.

"His Highness, it has been five days since Prince Cyrus left. I know that it won’t be easy to convince both the kings of the Ontex empire but there is no news..." General Shaw expressed his fear to the King.

In response, King Vilas didn’t say much. However, the silence gave General Shane more confidence to say, "His Highness, forgive me for asking. But have you given some tasks to Prince?" 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺

"Your eyes are sharp, Shane."

"It’s all about the experience of being with you, His Highness."

General Shane looked keenly at the King, with much curiosity inside his stomach to know. Ad King Vilas turned around, he stared at his General who said, "I had asked Cyrus that if he wishes to go against King Almen, he will have to convince the Ontex Empire Kings."

"If he fails to do so, our Kingdom will not support him in this war and neither will we lend our soldiers. Let us see how strong his convincing power can be. Is he really capable of being a king?"

"But what if he doesn’t come back?" General Shane worriedly asked, to receive the obvious gazes.

"Then he knows.. what is at stake."
