His Witch Queen-Chapter 197: Attacked

Prince Cyrus already left to march towards Gazelle Kingdom with his army after assuring Alice that he will be fine alone. After all, he knew himself how risky this war could be.

Letting Alice come with him and see his worst state would possibly not be in his books either. Moreover, the thought and how Kian had described his powers could also overpower his brain, still didn’t fit inside his heart much tonight.

Alice didn’t wish to let Cyrus leave alone but she had no other options left in her hand either. It was a do or die situation that they both were facing currently. Also, Cyrus had no such wish to harm her. Her father had strictly warned him about the consequences of this war. Even though Alice had powers which were better than anyone else, either a normal vampire or a human, she was still the precious princess of King Vilas.

He won’t leave Cyrus if anything was to happen to her, neither will Cyrus be able to bear up with this loss to let anything happen to her.

Alice had been interacting with the other females of their castle, to know they were working and passing their time. With her was Kian as well as Forex who made sure that the castle was guarded. Forex came to their help to make sure that he helps Alice whenever she is in need to use her powers, whereas Kian can’t wait for Cyrus to take over the kingdom.

The fine atmosphere of the environment was still lovely. The males had left for the war while the ladies did all the work, either the kitchen or keeping the children safe and making them sleep.

As Alice’s eye swept across to see all of this, her heart softened. Her eyes turned into a crystal moon upon realizing some of the very important details of the war in which they were going to survive.

However, her peace didn’t stay for long. She felt one of the closest soldiers of Cyrus, whom he left behind to make sure that the Princess was safe, approached Alice in a bit of a hurry.

"P-Princess Alice! There is something..." on his voice, Alice turned her face to view his hasty expressions. "What happened?"

"It has been two days since Prince Cyrus and others left but our Castle is already surrounded by some people."

Over hearing this Alice’s eyes twisted with a frown curving on her forehead, "Are they the soldiers of Gazelle Kingdom?"

"Yes Princess. They have their entire army around us. Who knows how they are able to trace us down here and succeed in escaping from our Prince’s eyes but they are here." The soldier’s words indicated that the horror was knocking on their door.

Alice turned to look at the view of all the ladies in the giant hall. ’This castle isn’t strong either. If they decide to attack us at once, we will need to give up too...’

Because at stake wasn’t simply her life but of the other ladies too. The soldiers left their wives and children in her care and as her responsibility, she will not let anything happen to them either.

Thinking multiple times, Alice knew what was supposed to be done at this point. "Ask all the ladies and soldiers to gather in this giant hall. Call Forex for my help too."

"As per your wish, Princess Alice." The soldier showed him and immediately led to execute the order. Similarly, Alice straightaway went to her chamber to take out a few important things into her back.

She doesn’t know if the castle will survive or not but being precautious was needed. In a few minutes, she had used a large scope which was used to view outside her window. It made her view the far away view too and she could easily see that the army surrounded their castle of King Almen.

"How are they a belt to come to our Palace!?"

Both Kian and Forex entered her chamber when the news led to the ears. Their fear struck too since Cyrus wasn’t with them either.

But at the same time, Alice’s face had turned into a cold layer. It was the pure saliva of ice on her face. "They must have arrived here a few days ago and at night. They were hidden behind the bushes so that we wouldn’t catch their tents. The moment they saw that Prince Cyeus left and they received the news that war had started, they decided to strike this castle since it only has ladies and... me.."

Her fine speech was absolutely to the point. Her explanation made both of the man’s hearts turn sour. They were extremely aware about the tactics of King Almen. He is ruthless and will not differentiate even if she is a lady.

"So, what is your next plan, Lady Alice?" It as Kian who inquired, and in return, Alice narrowed her eyes to say, "I will use my magic to guard this entire castle." Her eyes deviated to look at Forex with meaningful glare, "You know what I mean."

"Exactly."

"Then let us gather in the giant hall to make a protective shield around the castle for us."

Alice stood just in front of the huge gate at the entrance of the palace. While the rest of the ladies and children were made to stand behind her in the round shapes hall. The other soldiers were at the outer of the circle, holding their weapon in their hands.

While Alice took a deep breath, she knew that this won’t be an easy task. Her breath created jolts in her bones but she managed to crumble those feelings down her spine.

"Princess Alice, you don’t have enough time. Please do it quickly." Kian made her remember the finest time in their hands.

Alice passed him a look over her shoulders to nod her head before gazing at the door strongly. Instantly, she closed her eyes to focus on one thing and that was the outside side of the castle...

"Focus, Alice Focus... many lives are depending upon you now..."
