I Became a Kindergarten Teacher for Monster Babies!-Chapter 499 Voting day
The next morning arrived wrapped in soft golden light spilling through the tall classroom windows, the quiet calm of before class time settling over the room like a gentle pause before chaos. Bags were half open, chairs slightly crooked, and the air still held the sleepy warmth of early morning.
And right in the center of it, Boo was giving what he clearly believed was a very important political speech.
He floated slightly above a desk like a tiny ghost candidate running for mayor, tail swishing dramatically behind him as he gestured with invisible authority.
"If you give me vote," Boo announced grandly, voice echoing like he was speaking to a stadium instead of six babies, "I can ask teacher to add more toys in classroom. And more snack breaks. And maybe less homework. And maybe nap time extension."
He paused for effect.
"And maybe personal ghost security protection service."
Across from him, Drake sat on his desk with his cheeks puffed out like an offended pufferfish, tiny arms crossed tightly over his chest, tail flicking in aggressive little movements as he glared at Boo like Boo had personally insulted dragon kind.
"That is bribery," Drake muttered dramatically. "Illegal campaign activity."
"I don’t even know what that means," Boo shot back. "But I reject your accusation."
Luna sat beside them, arms crossed, ears slightly flattened, full wolf glare mode activated.
"You cannot just promise toys," she growled. "CR must be strong. Responsible. Protective. Not toy distributor."
"I can be strong!" Boo said, flexing absolutely nothing.
Nearby, completely detached from the chaos like royalty observing peasants, Vlad Jr. sat perfectly straight in his chair, legs crossed neatly, one elegant hand holding open a very serious looking book.
The Art of Leadership.
He turned a page calmly, ignoring the political warfare around him like he had transcended such mortal concerns.
"True leadership," he said without looking up, voice smooth and composed, "is not about promises. It is about vision. Discipline. And quiet authority."
Drake squinted at him. "Are you even listening to us?"
"Yes," Vlad Jr. said calmly. "And I am disappointed."
Felix, sprawled across two chairs like a tired king, opened one eye.
"Please don’t make posters," he muttered. "If you make posters, I will resign from this class."
Kelpie leaned forward excitedly, eyes sparkling with pure chaos enjoyment. "This is better than festival drama."
Rocky sat clutching his bag nervously, whispering to himself, "I will vote for whoever does not shout."
Meanwhile, Boo leaned closer to Drake, whispering loudly, "If I win, I will give you priority swing time."
Drake gasped.
Luna slammed her hand on the desk. "No secret deals!"
"I am negotiating!" Boo shouted.
At that exact moment, the classroom door opened and Alina stepped inside.
Silence dropped like someone hit a mute button.
Boo slowly turned.
Drake slowly turned.
Luna slowly turned.
Vlad Jr. did not turn. He simply turned a page.
Alina blinked once, taking in Boo floating on a desk, Drake looking like an angry dumpling, Luna mid growl, and Kelpie looking like he was watching live entertainment.
"Should I ask?" she said slowly.
"No," Felix said immediately. "Please don’t."
Boo straightened. "Teacher, we are doing democratic process."
Drake nodded seriously. "Yes. Very professional."
Luna added, "They are cheating."
"I am not cheating!" Boo shouted.
Alina pressed her lips together, trying not to laugh.
Then she sighed softly and set her bag down.
"Class has not even started," she said gently, "and you already look like you fought three wars."
Boo pouted and floated toward his desk.
Alina took attendance, and seeing everyone was present, satisfaction appeared in her eyes.
"Let’s start classes," she said as all babies groaned and she smiled.
As she started teaching them, in the blink of an eye, the week slipped past faster than any of them expected, the days filled with lessons, laughter, small arguments, and the absolute chaos of four very serious campaigners who treated Class Representative voting like it was a royal throne selection instead of a kindergarten responsibility badge. By the time the final day arrived, even Alina felt like she had survived some strange mix of election season, reality show drama, and baby parliament sessions.
That morning, the classroom felt different because today was voting day, and tomorrow was parents meeting.
Alina stood near her desk. "Alright," she said gently once everyone settled. "Today is voting day. Everyone remembers the rules, right?"
Small heads nodded seriously.
"Candidates can also vote," she continued, "but you cannot vote for yourself."
Boo immediately looked personally attacked.
"That is emotional damage," he whispered.
Drake whispered back, "That is democracy."
Luna cracked her knuckles like she was preparing for battle.
Sable sat quietly, fingers twisting slightly in his uniform hem, while Lucien sat straight beside him, calm and observant, like he was watching a political documentary unfold live.
Felix already looked tired.
Kelpie looked like he was about to witness the best drama of his life.
Rocky clutched his bag like voting required emotional support.
And Vlad Jr. looked like he had mentally prepared speeches for three possible outcomes.
Alina inhaled slowly.
Then she looked toward the back of the room.
And there he was.
Dante stood near the back wall, arms loosely crossed, his presence filling the room without him needing to move or speak. His crimson eyes were calm, but faint amusement rested quietly under that usual unreadable calm, especially when his gaze landed briefly on Boo, who immediately sat straighter like a ghost caught cheating in an exam.
Alina gave him a small smile before turning back to the class.
"Alright," she said. "One by one, you will come here, take one voting slip, write one name, fold it, and drop it in the box."
She held up the decorated voting box they made yesterday, covered in stickers, uneven glitter, and at least one accidental crayon drawing of something that might have been a dragon or a potato.
"Secret vote," she added. "No telling others."
Immediately, Boo leaned toward Drake. "We should have made secret alliance."
"Too late," Drake whispered dramatically.
Luna growled quietly. "No cheating."
Alina pinched the bridge of her nose for one second.
Then voting started.
Kelpie went first, walking like he was entering some grand ceremony, dropping his folded paper with dramatic satisfaction.
Rocky went next, double checking his paper like it was a math exam.
Felix went, looking like this was too much effort for morning hours, followed by Sable and Lucien.
Then the candidates started.
Drake walked with determined dragon pride.
Luna walked like a warrior queen.
Vlad Jr. walked like he had already accepted destiny, whatever it was.
And Boo floated dramatically, then stopped mid air.
"Teacher, can I write in glitter pen?"
"No."
"...This system is unfair."
