I Became a Kindergarten Teacher for Monster Babies!-Chapter 500 Who Became Class Representative?
When everyone finished, Alina gently shook the box once, her heart strangely nervous, like she was announcing real election results.
She opened the box.
Pulled the first slip.
"Drake."
Drake’s eyes lit up like fireworks.
Second slip.
"Luna."
Luna tried to stay calm. Failed slightly.
Third slip.
"Vlad Jr."
He simply nodded like, yes, of course.
Fourth.
"Drake."
Drake looked like he might ascend to heaven.
Fifth.
"Vlad Jr."
Now Drake and Vlad Jr. were tied.
Sixth. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
"Luna."
Tie again.
Seventh.
"Boo."
Eighth.
"Vlad Jr."
The room felt tight with suspense.
Alina reached in slowly. Pulled the last slip. Opened it. She paused slightly. Then smiled.
"Class Representative... is Vlad Jr."
For half a second, silence filled the room.
Then,
Drake flopped dramatically over his desk. "I was robbed."
Luna crossed her arms but nodded respectfully. "Acceptable."
Boo gasped. "Elite society wins again."
Vlad Jr. stood slowly, straightened his uniform, and said calmly, "I will do my duty well."
From the back, Dante gave one slow, approving nod.
Boo stared at the board where Alina had written the final count, his round ghost eyes growing bigger and bigger as the reality slowly sank into his tiny, dramatic soul.
"Why did no one vote for me?" he cried out, floating higher in pure emotional betrayal. "I got only one vote? One?" His voice cracked like the universe itself had personally wronged him. "I offered snacks. Toys. Emotional support. Spooky protection services."
Drake snorted loudly into his sleeve.
Luna tried to look serious, but her ears twitched.
Felix did not even pretend to hide his sigh.
And then, in a very small, very soft voice, someone spoke.
"But... I voted for you."
Boo froze mid air.
Slowly, dramatically, he turned his head.
Sable sat there, fingers twisting together, cheeks a little pink, eyes shy but honest as he looked at Boo like it was the most normal thing in the world.
For one second, Boo just stared at him. Then his entire ghost form wobbled.
"You... you’re the only one who believes in me..." Boo whispered, his voice thick with fake tragedy and real affection mixed together in the strangest possible way.
He dove forward and hugged Sable mid air.
"You’re my only true friend!" he declared loudly, glaring at the rest of the class like they had personally betrayed ghost kind.
Drake raised both hands. "I told you snacks are not leadership."
Luna crossed her arms. "You promised toys from a mysterious sponsor. That sounded suspicious."
Felix muttered, "You also promised to haunt homework."
Boo gasped. "That was value added service."
Meanwhile, Vlad Jr. stepped closer, posture straight, expression calm but eyes kind.
"Thank you for participating sincerely," he said politely to Boo, offering his small hand with quiet dignity.
Boo blinked.
Then immediately grabbed his hand dramatically.
"Congratulations, elite leadership child," he said with full ghost seriousness. "Lead us well. Or I will haunt your nap time."
Vlad Jr. nodded once. "Understood."
And just like that, Boo almost forgot he had been emotionally destroyed five seconds ago.
Dante stepped forward from the back of the classroom, his presence alone enough to quiet the last lingering whispers. His gaze lowered to Vlad Jr., who was already standing straight beside his desk, small shoulders back, chin lifted just enough to show confidence without arrogance. There was a faint, composed smile on the boy’s lips, the kind that felt practiced over centuries of vampire etiquette, yet still carried the softness of a child who was trying his best to do something right.
"Congratulations," Dante said, allowing the smallest curve of approval to touch his mouth. He had always held a quiet respect for this child. There was something rare in Vlad Jr., a natural poise, a way of speaking and listening that many adults in courtrooms and councils failed to master. "You have earned it."
Vlad Jr. placed one small hand over his chest and bowed with graceful precision. "Thank you, Principal Sir," he said clearly, his tone polite.
Alina felt warmth bloom in her chest as she watched him.
"Vlad Jr., come to the front, please," she said gently. "Would you like to say something to your classmates?"
He nodded once.
Then he walked to the front of the classroom, his steps neat and controlled, his shoes making the softest sound against the floor. When he turned to face everyone, he paused for a second, scanning each face.
He folded his hands lightly in front of him.
"My dear classmates," he began, his voice calm and surprisingly clear for someone so small, "first, I want to say thank you. Not only to those who voted for me, but to everyone here. Because being chosen means you all trust me, even if some of you trusted me only a little." A tiny, self aware smile touched his lips. "And trust is something very precious."
Drake shifted in his seat, suddenly listening very seriously.
Boo floated closer without realizing it.
Luna’s tail stopped flicking.
Vlad Jr. continued, his words careful but heartfelt. "I know sometimes I speak very formally. And sometimes I like poetry too much. And sometimes I may look like I am not listening when I am reading." A soft ripple of giggles moved through the class. "But I promise, I always listen. I always watch. And I always remember."
He glanced toward Rocky.
"If someone is shy, I will make sure they are not ignored."
He looked at Kelpie.
"If someone is excited, I will make sure their voice is heard."
He looked at Felix.
"If someone is tired, I will make sure they are not forced to speak when they do not wish to."
Felix blinked slowly, surprised.
Then Vlad Jr.’s gaze softened when it moved to Sable and Lucien.
"And if someone is hurting, I will make sure they are not alone."
Alina swallowed quietly.
Vlad Jr. took a small breath, then straightened just a little more.
"I cannot promise to be perfect," he said honestly. "Because even elders make mistakes. But I promise I will be fair. I will be calm. And I will always tell Teacher if something is wrong, even if my friends are angry with me for it."
Boo nodded very seriously at that, like this was extremely respectable betrayal.
"And," Vlad Jr. added, his voice becoming just slightly softer, more childlike, "I hope we can all help each other. Because class is not only for learning lessons. It is also for learning how to be good friends."
