I Became a Kindergarten Teacher for Monster Babies!-Chapter 515 Parents meeting (9)
"In language," Alina said, turning the paper slightly, "he writes very imaginative answers. Sometimes... too imaginative."
Blaze narrowed his eyes. "Define too imaginative."
Drake suddenly looked very interested in the table surface.
Alina cleared her throat softly. "For example... one question was ’Write five sentences about your home.’"
Pyrra looked curious. "And?"
Alina smiled helplessly. "He wrote... ’My home has three rooms, one kitchen, and one emergency dragon fire exit.’"
Blaze turned slowly toward Drake.
"It is important," Drake defended immediately. "Safety first."
Pyrra lost the battle and started laughing openly.
Alina covered her mouth, shoulders shaking.
"He also wrote," she added carefully, "’If invaders come, I will protect my family using educationally approved fire.’"
Blaze pinched the bridge of his nose.
"We will talk about that later," Pyrra said between laughs.
Drake leaned toward Alina and whispered loudly, "Did I still get good marks?"
"Yes," she whispered back, just as loudly. "Very good marks."
Drake slammed both hands on the table triumphantly. "Yes."
Several parents looked over.
Blaze pulled him gently back into his chair. "Indoor celebration only."
Drake nodded seriously, then whispered, "Small celebration."
Pyrra kissed the top of his head, pride shining clearly in her eyes. "You did well."
Drake immediately leaned into her, his tail wagging wildly behind him like he had just been told he was the greatest dragon in history.
Alina straightened slowly, still smiling, feeling that familiar warmth settle in her chest.
Then she moved toward Felix’s table, and for a moment, her entire professional brain simply stopped working.
Because Aine’s tails were moving slowly behind her like living silk clouds, each golden strand catching the light in a way that looked almost unreal. They were so fluffy, so soft looking, so hypnotic that Alina found herself staring a little too long, her eyes unfocused, her mind going completely blank except for one very dangerous thought.
I want to touch them.
And as if the universe decided to test her self control, one of Aine’s tails drifted lazily forward and brushed against Alina’s cheek.
Soft.
Warm.
Ridiculously soft.
Alina’s eyes fluttered half closed without permission, and a big, blissful smile spread across her face like someone who had just discovered heaven was made of fur.
"Dear," General Yuki spoke suddenly, clearing his throat with military level politeness, "you are not allowed to hypnotize our cub’s teacher."
Alina snapped back to reality so fast she almost choked on air.
Her cheeks burned instantly as she straightened, her eyes widening in horror at herself.
"I am so sorry," she blurted, mortified.
Out of reflex, she glanced toward Dante’s table and instantly regretted it.
Because he was staring directly at Aine with a stare so cold and absolute that it felt like the air itself had dropped several degrees, the kind of stare that could freeze lava mid flow, turning something wild and unstoppable into solid, unmoving stone under the intensity of his silent warning.
Aine only laughed lightly, completely unbothered, her tails swaying behind her with slow, smug elegance.
"Sorry," Aine said sweetly, her eyes sparkling. "I can’t help it, you know. Teacher is so beautiful."
Alina’s blush deepened to catastrophic levels.
General Yuki sighed helplessly.
"Mom," Felix said flatly, his ears twitching in embarrassment, "Teacher is here to talk about my performance. Let her speak."
Aine raised both hands dramatically. "Okay, okay, whatever my cub says," she said, laughing softly, clearly not sorry at all.
Felix covered half his face with one hand.
Alina cleared her throat, trying to drag her soul back into teacher mode.
"Okay... so..." she said, opening Felix’s papers, forcing her voice into calm professionalism. "Felix is very good in everything."
Felix sat straighter immediately.
"Though most of the time he pretends to nap," she added, glancing at him knowingly, "he actually listens to everything I say in class."
Aine gasped dramatically. "My son is genius sleeper."
General Yuki muttered, "Stealth learning."
Felix sighed. "I am not pretending. I am conserving energy."
Alina smiled, continuing, "He scored the highest in math this term."
Aine grabbed Felix and hugged him from the side, her tails flaring proudly behind her like golden fireworks.
"My cub. My brilliant cub," she said, kissing his hair repeatedly.
Felix tolerated it with the expression of someone who had accepted his fate long ago.
"In science," Alina continued, pointing gently, "Felix shows very deep understanding. He does not rush. He observes first, then answers."
General Yuki nodded approvingly. "Good battlefield instinct."
"It is not battlefield," Felix muttered.
"And in language," Alina added, "his writing is very clean and structured. He uses simple but strong sentences."
Felix looked secretly pleased, though he tried to look bored.
"He also helps other students quietly," she said. "Especially when they are stuck."
Felix looked away immediately. "I do not."
Aine wiped fake tears. "He is kind and smart. My perfect child."
General Yuki placed a hand on Felix’s shoulder. "You did well."
Felix’s tails flicked once, betraying how happy he was.
Alina softened slightly, adding gently, "The only thing I am working on with him is participating more openly. He knows answers, but sometimes he stays quiet."
Felix looked thoughtful at that.
"I will try," he said quietly.
Aine immediately squeezed him again. "You do not need to try. You are already perfect."
General Yuki added calmly, "But improvement is strength."
Felix nodded slowly.
Alina smiled warmly, feeling that quiet pride bloom again in her chest.
And behind her, Dante’s glare toward the golden tails had still not completely softened.
Aine leaned forward on the table, her golden eyes bright with very real curiosity now, her playful teasing replaced by something softer, something purely motherly as her tails settled behind her chair like a warm halo.
"What else does my cub do all the time?" she asked, tilting her head slightly. "Like, does he play? Does he prank someone? Cause trouble? Be honest, teacher."
Felix made a small, suffering sound under his breath. "Please do not encourage her."
Alina laughed softly, shaking her head, warmth settling back into her shoulders as she relaxed into familiar territory, the safe place where she could just be their teacher.
"Honestly? No," she said gently. "He does not prank much. Most of the time he stays in his own world."
Aine’s ears perked with interest. "Own world?"
"Yes," Alina said, smiling as she glanced at Felix, who was now pretending to be deeply interested in the table wood grain. "Sometimes he sits quietly, watching everyone. Sometimes he draws small patterns on the desk. Sometimes he just listens."
Felix muttered, "Observation is efficient."
General Yuki nodded approvingly. "Good survival skill."
Alina continued, softer now, "But he is always aware of what is happening around him. Even when he looks sleepy."
Aine’s expression turned proud again, her tails fluffing slightly.
"What about his friends?" she asked. "Does he have good friends?"
