I Became a Kindergarten Teacher for Monster Babies!-Chapter 514 Parents meeting (8)
Queen Granite adjusted the edge of the math sheet carefully, her stone textured nails surprisingly delicate as she traced the neat numbers.
"My little pebble wrote well," she said, her tone calm but clearly pleased, the kind of approval that came from someone who rarely gave praise lightly.
Rocky’s ears turned pink.
Alina crouched slightly beside him, resting one gentle hand over his soft hair, smoothing it carefully.
"Yes," she said warmly. "He is very careful and takes his time. He does not rush. He only writes when he is certain, which is actually a very strong skill."
She glanced toward the parents respectfully, then continued, her voice naturally fond now.
"He is a very careful child. He stays quiet most of the time, but he enjoys all activities in his own way. He observes first, then joins when he feels safe. And he likes collecting pebbles, which is honestly the cutest habit I have seen."
Boulder King let out a low amused hum.
"In a world where people value diamonds and gold," Alina continued softly, smiling at Rocky, "he is loving stones and pebbles."
She gently rubbed his hair once more.
Rocky looked up at her with wide, shining eyes, gathering courage like it was something fragile.
"Teacher... that’s because I am rock too," he said very seriously.
There was absolute innocence in his voice, zero humor, only pure logic.
Alina blinked once, then laughed softly, warmth flooding her expression.
"That is also true," she said, nodding solemnly like he had just explained a great scientific discovery.
Queen Granite’s lips curved slightly, pride and amusement mixing together.
Boulder King placed one large hand gently on Rocky’s shoulder. "And a strong one."
Rocky immediately sat a little straighter.
Alina pointed lightly to his science paper. "In science, Rocky is very patient. He likes experiments where he can observe changes slowly. He notices texture, shape, and structure very well."
Queen Granite nodded. "He always sorts stones by feel."
"In math," Alina continued, "he is slow but very accurate. When he finishes, his answers are almost always correct."
Boulder King’s chest visibly expanded with pride.
"He will not crumble under pressure," he said quietly.
Alina smiled, understanding the deeper meaning behind the words.
"In language," she said, tapping the sheet gently, "he writes simple sentences, but they are very clear. He does not overcomplicate thoughts. He writes what he truly means."
Rocky whispered shyly, "Big words are scary."
Alina leaned closer. "Big words are only tools. Your thoughts matter more."
Rocky nodded slowly, like he was storing that sentence somewhere important.
Queen Granite looked at Alina more carefully now, her expression thoughtful, measuring.
"You understand him," she said simply.
Alina smiled softly. "He is easy to understand."
Rocky immediately hid half his face behind his sleeve, but his small smile was impossible to miss.
Boulder King gave one slow approving nod.
"Well done," he said, and Rocky looked like he might turn into an actual stone statue from happiness.
Alina gave his hair one last affectionate ruffle before slowly standing, ready to move to the next table, but leaving behind a little pocket of warmth that settled around Rocky like quiet protection.
Next, Alina moved to Drake’s table, and the moment her eyes landed on him, she had to press her lips together to stop herself from laughing. Drake was sitting stiffly between his parents, cheeks puffed, thumb in his mouth, eyes locked on his papers like they were a life or death battlefield report. His tail was twitching behind him in nervous little jerks, occasionally thumping the chair leg without him even noticing.
"Mom... I worked very hard," he said in a dramatic, wounded voice, pulling his thumb out just long enough to speak before putting it right back, his eyes turning glossy as he looked between his parents and the papers. "I don’t remember how I left some questions empty," he added, looking genuinely betrayed by his own brain.
Alina bit the inside of her cheek.
"What happened?" she asked gently, though her eyes were already sparkling with amusement.
Pyrra slid the paper slightly toward her, her expression caught somewhere between proud and trying not to laugh. "He wrote everything he attempted correctly," she said, then sighed. "But he didn’t attempt some questions at all."
Blaze rubbed his forehead slowly, looking down at Drake like he was trying to understand how his son could be both brilliant and chaotic at the same time.
"I remember solving them in my head," Drake added quickly, sitting straighter like he was presenting strong legal evidence. "But then the bell rang, and my brain said we will do it later, and then my brain forgot."
Blaze let out a slow breath. "Your brain needs discipline."
"My brain needs snacks," Drake corrected immediately.
Pyrra coughed to hide a laugh.
Alina finally gave up and smiled openly, crouching slightly so she was at Drake’s level.
"Please don’t worry," she said warmly. "He did great. He wrote only what he understood, and he was accurate."
Drake slowly removed his thumb, blinking at her like she had just saved his entire future.
"Really?" he whispered.
"Really," she nodded. "And accuracy is more important than guessing."
Drake puffed up proudly, his chest expanding like a tiny dragon king.
"I am accuracy dragon," he declared.
Blaze closed his eyes briefly.
Pyrra patted Drake’s head. "You are chaos dragon."
"In science," Alina continued, pointing to his sheet, "Drake is very curious. He asks questions that sometimes even surprise me."
Drake brightened instantly. "Like why lava is spicy but water is not spicy."
Blaze stared forward into the distance.
Pyrra pressed her lips together again.
"And in math," Alina went on smoothly, "he understands concepts fast. But he loses patience if something feels repetitive."
"That is true," Drake said firmly. "If I already know, why do it again?" 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
"Because practice makes you stronger," Blaze said automatically.
"Practice makes me bored," Drake replied instantly.
Alina nodded thoughtfully. "So I give him small challenge questions inside normal work. That keeps him focused."
Pyrra looked impressed. "That explains why he suddenly started liking worksheets last week."
Drake beamed. "Because Teacher hides boss level questions."
