Chapter 243: 243: Lust, and a Very Frozen Kai

---

The other three stirred in a chain reaction.

Vel blinked.

Naaro sat up halfway, her leaf top slipping a full two centimeters.

And Azhara?

She stretched her arms above her head like she had just woken from a vacation nap in paradise with Kai’s big thick anaconda.

"Master~!" she beamed. "You’re back! I’ve been waiting all night!" She pounced.

Kai’s soul almost fled his body again.

Azhara leapt off the bed like a content predator, landing with an overly dramatic pose at his feet. She clung to his body like a lonely cat.

"You didn’t even knock," she pouted. "How rude."

Kai cleared his throat. Once... Then Twice. He didn’t move. His voice came out like gravel. "...What is happening? Why are you in my bed? Where are your clothes?"

Sha had sat up fully now, yanking a blanket to cover the entirety of her big chest. She looked like she was reconsidering all her life decisions.

"I... I swear this wasn’t my idea," she said quickly.

"It was her idea," Naaro pointed at Azhara immediately. "She seduced the pillow first!"

"I didn’t seduce the pillow!" Azhara objected. "I just... rehearsed with it."

Kai blinked. Slowly.

Vel sighed. "We were just going to watch her, but then she handed us these... leaf things... and we may have been curious."

"She pressured us!" Naaro almost cried in shame.

"You didn’t resist very hard!" Sha snapped back.

"I just wanted to see what his face would look like," Vel muttered into her hand.

Kai stood amid the chaos, utterly paralyzed. He’d fought frog’s with acid breath. Beasts that tore land apart. Poisonous beast and many more. He had never once questioned his survival.

But this? Four half naked women. All arguing. On his bed. Because of him. He turned slightly, speaking only to his system now.

"...F*uck! What should I do?"

[System Notification: Emotional crisis detected. Shall I activate battle protocols?]

"Does that include instant teleportation?"

[No.]

"Then shut up."

Azhara finally stood fully, tail flicking behind her like an excited metronome.

"Master," she said with radiant confidence, "you don’t have to be shy. Tonight, your loyal servant offers herself to you. My leaves are ready. My soul is ready. My body wants your anaconda."

"STOP," Kai yelled, hands flying up. The whole room fell silent.

Kai cleared his throat again and composed himself. His voice lowered into its usual command tone— the one that stopped beasts mid lunge and made monarchs hesitate.

"You four..." he said, eyes narrowing, "are wearing barely anything. You’re in my private bedchamber. And you’re fighting over who gets to... do what, exactly?"

There was a long pause. Then Azhara raised her hand. "To be your first~"

Sha punched her arm. "You’re not supposed to say it!"

Vel slapped her own forehead. "I hate this."

Kai looked at them all. "Do you realize what this looks like?"

Naaro mumbled, "...A surprise mating ritual?"

Kai inhaled. Counted to five. He did not scream. Instead, he marched forward, stepping over Azhara (who made a happy squeak and followed him on all fours like a puppy), and stopped at the foot of the bed.

He turned to face them, arms crossed.

"I went to the sea. I found and rode back with a flying predator. I wanted to give you all the good news. We can fly back to my mountain, faster, with the flying beast."

He pointed to the four of them. "And I come home to find this. Four naked beautiful women on my..."

Vel mumbled. "At least you acknowledged our beauty. We just want to be yours."

"Actually, all you are mine," Kai muttered. Then he immediately regretted it.

"Wait, I look pretty, right?" Azhara asked, eyes narrowing.

"Did you see our hungry body?" Naaro added quickly.

"Sir, can you love us tonight?" Vel asked.

Kai took a step back, hands raised again. "Okay. No. Stop. We’re not doing this tonight."

He pointed to the bed. "You four. Sleep. No more leaf experiments. No more pillow violations. No more ritual sacrifices of dignity."

Azhara pouted. "But Master..."

"No buts."

Naaro sulked. "But Sha’s was bigger..."

Sha coughed violently. "N-Naaro!"

Kai turned. Walked to the corner of the room and he stared at the wall. "System," he whispered. "Is this what you meant by ’frog in a well’?" freewёbnoνel-com

[System Confirmation: No. This is a new category of your charm.

Term: ’Frog in a Leaf Pile.’]

Kai pressed his head against the wall. "It’s not funny."

Long night. Very long night. And the worst part? He didn’t even hate it. Not entirely. They were loyal. Brave. Hilarious. And stupid in the most honest, affectionate way.

And beautiful.

He sighed, rubbed his face, then turned back to them. "All of you. Sleep."

Sha lay down quickly. Vel followed, pulling her leaf top more securely over her chest.

Naaro curled up, whispering something about "next time we coordinate."

And Azhara?

She stayed sitting. "Can I just... stay by your side tonight?" she asked, ears low. "No funny stuff. I promise. Just... here."

Kai looked at her for a long moment. Then nodded. "Fine."

Her face lit up like a lantern. She curled up beside him as he sat at the edge of the bed, head on his leg, arms folded like a child curling around her favorite plush.

Within moments, the room fell silent again. The breathing softened. The tension faded.

And Kai?

Kai sat there, eyes fixed on the glowing vines above, wondering how the hell his life had spiraled into this.

But deep down?

Some part of him wasn’t complaining. His anaconda was hungry for some food.

Kai sat there for a long time.

The soft rhythm of breathing returned to the room. The glowing moss flickered slightly above, casting faint light pools across the walls and onto the bodies scattered over his bed like fallen stars.

Four beautiful disasters. Azhara beside his knee.

Sha, curled on her side, her blanket wrapped around her like a cocoon.

Vel and Naaro sharing the upper edge of the bed, both lying on their backs, leaf wraps still awkward and half loosened by sleep.
