I Became an Ant Lord, So I Built a Hive Full of Beauties-Chapter 242: Wings Above, Chaos Below
Chapter 242: 242: Wings Above, Chaos Below
---
"Alright," Kai muttered, catching his breath. "So... two pulses does mean a turn. You’re listening. Let’s try again."
He tapped once with his aura through his palm. The Alka’s feathers flexed. Then it soared upward, launching into a tight spiral that coiled around an invisible column of sky.
Kai laughed seeing the result.
Not the cold laugh of battle. A real one. He couldn’t help it. The wind tore through his hair. His body armor shimmered with dew. And for once, there was nothing to devour, no enemies at his heels—just the open sky and the feeling of something greater obeying his will.
He practiced commands for the next hour.
One aura pulse: maintain altitude.
Two: slow tilt.
Three: evasive roll.
Push downward: dive.
Push forward: surge.
The beast didn’t just follow him, it anticipated everything. A real bond was forming. Not a system forced or his skills marking contract. Something natural.
Kai looked toward the treetops in the distance. A faint orange glow flickered in the valley where the ant tunnels were built beneath the thick forest roots.
"I should go back before dawn, they must be worried," he said aloud.
He tapped twice. Alka roared softly. Not a threat. A response.
Then with no more signal, the six star rank predator bird beast curved south eastward. Its wings drew crescents of wind as it dove toward the trees. Beneath them, the mist from the sea faded behind.
They flew over the forest canopy like a whisper. No beasts dared rise to intercept. The birds of the region scattered in terrified patterns.
Then came the final descent.
Kai guided the Alkaidon toward a high cliff overlooking the Southern Forest hive. Hidden from the road, surrounded by spiked brush and thick tree roots, the broken tunnels of the Carpenter Ant Queen lay still.
Kai stepped off gently, landing atop a stone ridge that led into the carved forest pass.
The Alka’s head turned to him. It blinked slowly once—its feathers shimmering faintly as morning threatened to break the horizon.
"You did great," Kai said, offering a palm.
The bird touched it briefly with its beak. Then, without a sound, it lifted.
A blast of wind scattered leaves and dust as the Sable Crested Alkaidon soared into the air and disappeared over the canopy in search of prey or solitude.
Kai adjusted his clothes, exhaled sharply, and stepped into the tunnel’s mouth.
The ant hive was silent.
It was past midnight. The guards sister xxx and xxx posted at the entrance recognized him and bowed deeply, their antennae twitching in reverence. He gave a small nod and moved through without a word.
The bioluminescent fungi that lined the walls dimmed gently with his passing. The scent of the hive had changed since his last visit— now it smelled of polished resin, moss wine, and sweet oils used to cradle royal eggs.
They’re preparing, he thought. Preparing to leave. Preparing to rebuild. And Akayoroi... she was behind all of it.
He passed the storage chambers, All silent.
When he reached the heart of the guest corridor, he noticed something... odd.
The scent.
His chamber leaf door was slightly ajar. But that wasn’t the problem.
The problem was the wave of fruity perfume leaking from the room. It was like crushed leaves, honeyed roots, and... the smell of women...
He paused. Sniffed again. "...Nectar? Burnt pine?" He tilted his head. "That’s not natural."
His brow furrowed as he pushed the curtain aside— And froze. Inside His Chamber....
The air was warm and filled with low breathing.
Not just one breath. Not two. But Four beautiful and sexy women lay on his bed. All of them curled together like sleepy kittens. Or perhaps a rabbit on an ant pile.
In the center of his moss mattress, surrounded by crumpled sheets and discarded flower petals, lay Azhara— sprawled like a flower, leaf wraps barely covering her generous curves. She clung to the pillow shaped vaguely like him, drooling slightly.
To her right lay Sha, one arm thrown over Azhara’s waist, her own leafy outfit slightly misaligned, her chest visibly... uncontainable.
To the left, Naaro rested with her legs tangled in the others, her mandibles gently clicking as she slept, one leafy strap having fallen halfway off her shoulder.
Vel lay on the far edge, one arm over her eyes, as if shielding herself from shame... or perhaps reality itself.
They were all asleep. Clinging to each other. Half leaf dressed half naked. They were breathing softly on his bed.
Kai stood in the doorway. Completely, utterly still. His pupils contracted. His soul whispered:
"Nope. No way. Turn around. This is a trap. These girls want to suck me dry."
He reached slowly for the curtain. Maybe if he backed out quietly... nobody will know he was here.
But suddenly, Azhara stirred. "Mmm... sir Kai... my king~" she moaned.
Sha rolled closer.
Vel grumbled, "No, it’s my turn..."
Naaro hugged a blanket tighter. "I wore the leaf... just like you said... it’s my turn to ride that big anaconda."
Kai’s soul left his body. His face was expressionless. But internally? He was screaming.
For a warrior who had eaten essence liquid from the beasts, the size of siege towers, Kai had never known true fear.
Until now.
He stood in the doorway of his own chamber, frozen like a statue, one hand still gripping the edge of the curtain, the other halfway toward summoning his anaconda on pure horny instinct.
Before him, the sight was equal parts glorious and mortifying: Four beautiful women. All wearing leaves.
All asleep in various forms of unintentional seduction on his bed. The air smelled like flowers, sweat, and poor decisions.
Kai’s brain struggled to process it.
This must be a hallucination. No, a prank. No, worse. It’s a test of will.
He considered backing away slowly. Maybe pretend he never saw it. Maybe fake his own mind. Yes, that would be cleaner.
Then—Azhara stirred.
Her ant like bunny’s ears twitched. Her long legs shifted languidly beneath the blanket, causing her chest leaf to wobble dangerously close to failing its one job.
"Mmm~ my Lord..." she purred. "You finally came to claim me~"
Kai’s body locked. "Abort. Abort. ABORT."
He took a cautious half-step back. But fate was cruel.
Sha shifted next, her eyelids fluttering open. Her sleepy gaze found him in the doorway. And in her groggy state, she smiled.
"...Sir Kai?"
