Their carapace plating and chitin skin also weaker than the stronger Insect Hybrids, but that to be expected. Plus, it still as strong as a gambeson or simple leather armor, able to protect themselves from weak strikes, but susceptible for stronger blows.

Their weaker defense were made up by their faster movement compared to their more powerful counterparts. However, it also mean they are lacking in natural combat prowess, aka their bodies.

Sure, the C-rank Hybrids possess some limbs of their Bug template, but it is not as strong as the original, which is a price they have to pay to be able to mass produce them. Against D-rankers, they are strong but they would lose one on one against real C-rankers.

As the C-rank Hybrids are meant to be foot soldiers or common soldiers, they mostly Ant Hybrids, with other Hybrids being used to form regiments of specialized units depending in their Bug template.

It also mean their only means of attack are their pincers, which is smaller than the Bugs. However, such weakness had been countered by the aid of limbs that Bugs don’t have. Hands.

Their hands maintained their human origin, though it had been changed so the fingers appeared more claw-like. However, the claws were not strong, comparable to big cats, which sharp but the power mostly come from their musculature.

Instead, their hands, as claws merely ascetic, capable of gripping weapon, which the C-rank Hybrids would use. Or the Ant Hybrids would be using. As for their weapon of choice, it seem either his two commanders or the Witches in charge of such creation decided to go for the more macabre route.
