I Found a Door to the Elven Realm-Chapter 53: Traumatizing the Rookies (Twice)
Then other three died in similar fashion but Eren had to maneuver around them to distract their attention from the rookie elves.

Thirty second after everything Eren caught the blade of the leader Kobold with his hand while his left hand destroyed the head the other tinier rider.

He already lost his blade at some point but things were happening too fast and he didn’t have time to think. His body did whatever action was the most optimum. So he captured a dangerous looking scimitar with his hand and it’s edge bit into his palm about a couple millimeter deep but stopped in the end. He felt some pain but something was telling him it wouldn’t be able to cut his hand.
His new half elf instincts were firm in every decision and this wasn’t any different. His body was strong!
The kobold stared at its own weapon stuck in a bare hand and Eren could see genuine confusion in those reptilian eyes.
"Yeah budy. I’m as surprised about this as you." Eren said with some relaxed look. This was the last enemy and he didn’t feel anything else in the area.
He ripped away the scimitar from it’s hand and kicked the mounted creature to get kobold on the ground. But his body wanted him to do something. A sudden urge...
He jumped over a metre in the air and kicked a second more powerful one on kobold’s chest. It flew backwards couple meters and hit a tree trunk hard enough to created cracking sounds with it’s back.
It looked and felt cool in every angle possible!
Eren was proud but still walked around the only living kobold. Mounts run away a little bit then stopped moving but he couldn’t care less.
Actually this looks different. Not like other five. Is it a "she"?
The wounded woman was the kobold leader in this group and the last one alive. She looked at her entire group dead on the ground and then glazed Eren. Something shifted in her eyes. Not fear exactly but Eren guessed it was realization of some sort.
It/She let out a long clicking sound unlike any others they did before. It was like a big musical gong was used toward the forest.
A signal?
Eren lunged for it but the kobold already accepted her death.

A fast kick to her head was enough.
The slime clearing Eren used for the last twenty days went quiet again. With dead kobold bodies, blood and fearful faces of four weak elves and two dinosaur looking mounts hiding behind the trees.
"Is everyone okay?" Eren turned around.
Nimbo was squatting on the ground with his shield still up to defend the other three. Eren could say many shitty jokes about that but he knew the kid had a brave soul. He was doing his best in this sudden situation. Eren would probably piss and black out if he was as weak as them.
But unlike the old Eren, young Mel’s arms were shaking but she was grinning. She looked like an absolute madman with her young and innocent vibes vanished when she smiled like that.
Yeah. Eren knew even if she was young, Mel was a little bit crazy...
Thadric stood over the quick event with a blank expression. He was still processing.
Rabbu-i had her hand on a thick vine near the base of the tree. It had grown about half a meter longer than before. She’d tried to use Plant Whisper. With her almost nonexistent mana pool, she’d managed to grow a single vine about the length of an arm and readying it to capture some deaf enemy.
It was a pathetic trap but Eren didn’t comment on that. She was a middle aged elven villager, a sexy and daring one, but still she was just a commoner. It was the bravest thing to Eren comparing the others.
"Breathe." Eren told the group. "All of you. Breathe."
"That was..." Thadric looked at his spear tip. "I forgot I had a spear. I swear my mind got blank until now."
"It wasn’t like the slimes." Mel also commented with anger.
"You did great guys." Eren said and looked away for the dinosaur looking mounts. Both of them stayed here like good little puppies.
"Can you tame them?"
Thadric was quiet for a second after looking to the weird monsters. He didn’t realize Eren talked to him at first.
"Me?"
Then he laughed. One short burst of nervous laughter that he cut off himself. "Right. Okay. Hell no! Maybe...." He changed his opinion for at least ten times and finally said. "I don’t know. But I can take care of them in the ranch and make them stay alive."
"Good. We can see if they are useful in the future." Eren checked the bodies of the dead kobolds and took one scimitar for personal use. It didn’t have a hilt like his short blade but Emily still would love these weapons.
Mel talked while her hands dropped to her sides. "I also froze."
"First time everyone freezes. It doesn’t mean anything."
"It felt like it meant something. She didn’t freeze." Mel pointed Rabbu-i with her head.
Eren walked over and put a hand on her shoulder. She flinched but didn’t move away. "You’ll get your moment. I will make you level up like crazy and force you to not freeze next time."
Mel blushed a little bit and whispered. "Promise?"
"Yeah, promise. Now, get on your feet!" Like his words were a signal, a sudden movement showed up in the air.
A sound ripped through the canopy from the south. A deep thrumming whistle that Eren recognized instantly.
Wind Slash Skill.
Emily!
He looked up and saw the streak of compressed air punch through the treetops two hundred meters away. Then another. Then a third.
Each one hit something because each one was followed by a distant shriek that wasn’t human or elf. Emily was fighting with multiple targets from the sound of it.
A fourth Wind Slash screamed in the air and this one was clearly stronger.
Then the sounds stopped.
Thirty seconds later, Emily walked out of the dark treeline. Her katana was out and had green-black blood on both side, which was different from kobold blood. They had red blood like humans and Elves. Eren didn’t know there were other kinds of enemies.
Her katana was slung lower but she wasn’t breathing hard or looked tired.
Emily looked at the dead kobolds on the ground before looking at Eren with visible relief. She saw the four rookies behind him but didn’t comment anything.
"One scouting group slipped past me, apparently." she muttered. Then came closer to Eren and hugged him like there was no tomorrow.
She basically climbed his body after letting her sword to the ground and used her legs to catch his belly in a clamp. Then she attacked the inner side of his mouth with loud mouns.
Eren didn’t give a crap about others and responded to her heated actions.
Emily had probably been worried sick and seeing him stand here in one piece affected something inside of her. She was pregnant so maybe extra emotional? Maybe he was thinking too deep.
When he pulled his tongue back and let Emily take over and tasted everything from this gorgeous elf’s mouth, he was already highly turned on. Enough to rip her clothes off right there and right now.
Eren didn’t know what stopped them from doing some crazy real s*x.
But he was pretty sure, he didn’t care if there were other threats around the village or some watching eyes...
He was ready to skip the evening dungeon run entirely and stay on the ground and be with her.
"I love you..." Emily whispered into his mouth with a deep breath.
"No. I love you more, my pregnant forest nymph.." He kissed her more.
...
The couple relaxed and cooled down after ten minutes of embarrassing moment. It wasn’t anything bad actually. But kissing and making love in front of the whole four were the embarrassing part after they realized what they did.
Emily acted like she didn’t kiss her human mate but actually said hello to the blushed group. Eren approved her actions.
Sometimes we have to act shameless.
Emily wiped her katana on a dead kobold’s armor and sheathed it. "This wasn’t random. They were mapping the treeline around the dungeon."
She looked at the group again. Her eyes lingered on Thadric’s hands on the two weird mounts and Nimbo still holding his shield like he was praying. His fingers spasmed and had trouble apparently. They fixed it after the young boy confessed the situation. He feared way more than he showed the others.
"Training’s over for today." Emily’s voice was the kind of calm that came from years of killing things. "Everyone goes back to the village and won’t leave it until a next order!"
Nobody argued.
As they started walking, Emily fell into step beside Eren. She didn’t say anything for about ten seconds then whispered. "You handled it well."
"Barely."
"You handled it perfectly." she repeated not as a compliment but a fact. "They need some basic training. This was a bad first day and it’s their bad luck, not your fault.
He knew obviously. But six damn kobolds and two horse-like dinosaur mounts came closer and he didn’t notice until the last second. He had to learn some map skill or something similar.
Eren looked back at the clearing one more time. The dead kobolds. The crossbow bolts stuck in trees. The crack in the bark where he’d kicked one of them.
He took some of the good bolts, crossbows and the other scimitar. He was going to try holding one in each hand and create a two sword style. But just the image of that was funny.
He needed more skills or levels, not sword arts.
Also he realized something important today.
This was what Emily faced every god damn day for years!
She walked into this nightmare with just a katana and a bow and she’d been doing it alone before Eren even knew this world existed.
This was the real Verdant Hollow Forest.
And he was in it now!
