Chapter 106: Chapter 106: Decapitation

Tiny little red sparks take shape along the long body of the Destruction Wand.

Electricity reaches out from those sparks and converges into one singular point at the tip of the bone wand.

The bright red lightning bolt screams and lets loose, extending its screeching high-voltage tongue inside Blaze’s mouth.

The lightning bolt goes straight through his windpipe and enters his two lungs.

Blaze’s lungs enlarge immediately, flexing its surface and hardening its tissues to prevent the bolt from drilling out a hole inside Blaze.

His skin begins to peel off purely because of the great amount of electricity intensity. His skin gets scraped off to reveal the blood red beneath that is pulsing a bright red light.

The color that has the same shade as the red Thunderbolt.

And then, his lungs light up like two Christmas trees in the night, visibly outlining the organs so that even the outside world can see.

The lungs pulse heavily, thumping and drumming without end.

Red electricity bursts out from the corner of Blaze’s two eyes.

White smoke exudes out from his mouth, the vaporization of all the water in his system.

Blaze’s feet sink deeper into the ground, creating a circular crack around him.

The Runner has finally approached. He delivers a jumping roundhouse kick with his lead leg.

The leg turns into a giant blade in mid-air, ready to cut Blaze’s head clean off.

But then, the missing aura that should have appeared a long time ago finally makes itself known.

A completely different, crimson-colored, and hostile-in-nature aura bursts out from within Blaze.

The Runner is blown away by its sheer force and pressure. He gets sent flying for a few dozen meters.

The Brutalist jumps up to catch him.

The Crimson does two quick jabs, sending two lines of yellow sparks coming at Hutton.

Hutton is at his limit and no longer able to move his body around. He takes the two shots directly into the body.

A white line appears on his forehead, separating his body into two halves.

Hutton splits into Hugo and Anton, which causes all the members of the A-Force to stare at them with amazement.

Both of them have already fainted from exhaustion.

"Is that?" The Harpist says.

"Fusion Power. That is a rare one." The Crimson says.

"What are we going to do about him now, Captain?"

The Swordmaster points toward Blaze.

The red aura grinds into the air, creating a high-pitched sound that is torture to the ear.

Red electricity dances around in the red aura, exuding intense heat to the surroundings.

"That aura is very similar to Red."

The Brutalist says, his voice is low and crude.

Blaze finally opens his eyes again. This time, they are filled with the bright red color of the Thunderbolt.

Blaze clenches his fist. The wind screams out purely because of his strength.

The dark color of the Shadow Tattered Cloak is mixed with the red shade of the aura.

Blaze retrieves Hugo and Anton back to the Clone Storage. They had fulfilled their purpose.

He can feel a scorching burn inside his lungs. His skin is slowly disintegrating due to the immense amount of electricity coursing through his veins.

Blaze is barely able to hold his breath in. He won’t be staying in this state for long.

He needs to make use of every second he has.

The Moonlight Karambit appears in his hands again.

Blaze activates Darkness once more, covering the entire inner yard with the shadow sphere.

"An illusion power?" The Runner says.

The man dashes forward, intending to interrupt Blaze, but the Crimson reaches out his hand to stop the Runner.

"Captain?"

"He has become even more powerful. Do not do anything stupid."

And then Blaze disappears from their view, it’s as if he has never existed before.

"Sword, locate him!" The Crimson shouts.

The third eye in the middle of the Swordmaster’s forehead opens wide and scans the area.

For the first time, the Shadow Phantom has lost its effectiveness and is revealed in the Swordmaster’s point of view.

Blaze appears as a ball of black smoke inside this darkness. Even without his invisibility, it is hard to pinpoint him with just vision alone.

"There! He is there!"

The Harpist runs her finger on the instrument. A pink cage materializes around Blaze’s position and closes in.

"Does Harpist have him?" The Crimson says.

The Swordmaster nods.

"He is still there. But the Wraith isn’t moving at all."

"I have a bad feeling about this, Captain." The Runner says.

"Stay calm and stay sharp. Whatever he has up his sleeves, we will deal with it."

The pink cage made out of pure energy constricts, aiming to suffocate Blaze inside. But he is no longer there.

"The Wraith is gone!"

The Swordmaster screams.

One of the powers of the Shadow Phantom is that Blaze is able to teleport for a short distance.

He hasn’t made use of this power before because his speed was more than enough.

But now, Blaze blinks to the outside of the cage and uses his even more terrifying speed to approach the A-Force team.

"Brace yourself!"

The Crimson yells. He also summons his red aura and dashes head-on to Blaze.

Blaze’s aura is bright red and contains red electricity. It is aggressive and destructive.

The Crimson’s aura is deep red and flexible. It is controlled and precise.

Blaze’s fingers jerk open. He directs some of the red electricity inside his body to his hand, forming a red Thunder Spear.

The Crimson rubs his metal gloves together, summoning the yellow spark, and then punches it at Blaze.

Blaze holds the Thunder Spear with two hands like a sword, and he slices it into the spark.

The bright red spear explodes partially, pushing countless electricity bolts onto the yellow line of sparks, neutralizing it in the process.

"What?!"

The Crimson opens his eyes wide.

Blaze turns into a red lightning bolt and runs straight through the Crimson, slicing the Thunder Spear at the Crimson’s waist.

The Crimson zips to the side, transformed into a red streak. He avoids Blaze’s strike just in the nick of time.

Blaze does not stop, and he keeps rushing forward, aiming to attack the other members. He runs straight forward, the Brutalist.

"Yes! Come! I’ll show you my power!"

The Brutalist screams. His muscle bulges and enlarges even more. He does not run, instead, he jumps up and slams his two large arms onto Blaze.

Blaze’s mind is sharper than ever. He lowers the Thunder Spear and meets the Brutalist attack with just his left fist.

A shockwave spreads from their collision, peeling off the brick on the ground of the inner yard.

The Brutalist’s skin bursts like a bubble. It starts from the knuckle with all the bones caving into his wrist.

The Brutalist screams in pain.

The flesh on his forearms is torn out, blood splatters everywhere. His huge bicep loses its volume like a popped balloon. His shoulder blade pops off of its joint.

The Swordmaster steps forward, slashing his sword down from above, aiming at Blaze’s head. He intends to get Brutalist out of his dire situation.

"Stop hurting my friend, Wraith!"

Blaze can hear the grinding of his teeth in Swordmaster’s words.

He simply moves one step back to avoid the Swordmaster’s strike. He then uses that same left hand to punch at the Swordmaster’s chest.

His punch creates a circular tornado in the air, sending the Swordmaster flying and crashing into the Police building.

The Brutalist doesn’t give up and slams his head at Blaze, using whatever weapon he has left to cause damage.

Blaze opens his palm and gently pushes on Brutalist’s stomach. His organs get rearranged so badly that the Brutalist immediately drops down on the ground and curls into a fetal position.

The Runner appears right behind Blaze and does a roundhouse kick at his neck, aiming to decapitate him with his sword leg.

Blaze disappears once more and is now behind the Harpist’s back.

"Don’t you dare touch her!"

The Crimson yells.

Blaze smacks his forearms on the Harpist’s neck. He can hear her bones crushing inside her flesh.

The Harpist faints immediately and falls into Blaze’s arms.

"You are helping evil men to maintain their tyranny, Crimson.

For that, I’ll bring you the greatest pain of all.

Witness this!"

Simply from seeing the Crimson’s reaction, Blaze already knows he and the Harpist have a special connection. What can be more effective to terrorize your enemy than to kill who they love the most?

Everything comes to a slow. The Crimson runs with all his might toward Blaze. He wants to stop whatever this hideous hooded figure wants to do.

The Wraith holds the Harpist by her hair and then, by using the Thunder Spear...

Blaze decapitates the Harpist.

Her lifeless body falls on the ground, her head’s dangling inside Blaze’s hand.

"No!" The Crimson screams in misery.
