Chapter 105: Chapter 105: Temporal Expansion

Blaze takes out the Blood Potion and drinks from it quickly. He throws it over to Hutton for him to heal.

Hutton chugs it down like a thirsty bear.

"They are strong, Sire. Very Strong."

Hutton wipes the red off the corner of his mouth. He is the fusion of the minds of both Hugo and Anton, this includes all the skills they accumulated over the years.

But they are not trained fighters, they are trained henchmen. Cavalcante made sure they were proficient for the job but also not posed too much of a threat.

Other than the basic of basic training, Hugo and Anton do not even know how to use their power in an efficient way.

As for Blaze, he is simply inexperienced. His first kill was just a few days ago. His journey is brief and short.

"You are right, Hutton. But maybe there is a way for us to win this. Buy me sometimes."

Blaze says, standing with his back straight.

"I’ll do my best, Sire."

And Hutton dashes away, this time, the time bubble expands and completely envelops a large part of the inner yard.

The white energy field collides with the pink dome made by the Harpist. The pink dome constricts immediately as it is a lower-rank power with weaker energy concentration.

The temporal field covers all the members of the A-Force. They can feel their cognition become slow as a snail and their body heavy like they’re wearing a ton of weights.

The Crimson reacts fast, his aura retreats and forms a denser protective layer around him. The temporal energy is stopped on the outside, unable to penetrate and affect the Crimson.

This act is a high-level precise control of his power. By making sure his energy is conserved and focused, the Crimson can make it more resilient than a normal B-rank power.

It is enough to expel even the A-rank Temporal Energy Manipulation.

If Hutton had more control over his power, he would have no problem overwhelming the Crimson.

The Brutalist smashes himself on his head abruptly. His eyes turn red, and his body enlarges even more. He somehow resists the power of the temporal force simply by pure will and muscle strength.

The Runner twists a medallion on his waist. His waistbands light up in blue, and clear white smoke exudes out of his mechanical legs.

His legs become thinner and skinnier, trading some of that power for a more reactive speed.

The Swordmaster feeds the blade his blood. Inside his helmet, a third eye slits open in the middle of his forehead. This third eye pours out transparent black waves that partially prevent the effect of the temporal force.

The Harpist is the only one that has no tools to deal with Hutton’s power. But she doesn’t need to. She removes the pink dome and instead establishes a connection between her instrument and the four other members. Transparent pink strings reach out to each of the four men, fueling them with more power.

Hutton, obviously, does not allow for any of this to happen. When they begin to act, he dashes forward and tries to disrupt whatever they’re doing.

But the Crimson is already there. He resists the temporal force in an instant and collides with Hutton face-to-face.

Hutton turns his entire body to steel and rams straight into the Crimson.

Unfortunately for him, Hutton is the one who gets blown away.

The steel frame of Steel Manipulation (B-rank) gets completely vaporized and disappears from Hutton’s skin.

His exterior was changed to metal, but his interior was still flesh. He does not know how to completely turn himself into Steel.

The Swordmaster draws two strikes into the air. Black energy fangs are drawn out from his blade and blast forward at Hutton.

The Swordmaster can resist the temporal force but not completely like the Crimson. His speed is slower than usual, giving Hutton just enough time to roll away in mid-air and evade his attacks.

The Runner circles around the battlefield, trying to avoid Hutton to go straight for Blaze.

They know the pair is trying to do something, and they intend to stop it in place.

Hutton notices this and immediately flaps his four wings, flying over to stop the Runner.

There is a lot of debris from the previous fight and explosion.

The Brutalist picks up a large boulder from the ground and throws it at Hutton repeatedly, aiming to stop him in his tracks.

The Harpist runs her finger on the harp, creating a chain reaction on her instrument.

A shockwave forms gently like a weak wave on the still surface of a lake.

The wave expands, without being affected by the temporal force, and touches on those flying boulders.

The rocks accelerate immediately and become twice or even thrice as fast.

Now Hutton has no choice but to focus on evading the boulders.

He closes his wings to make a few body rolls in mid-air. The boulders fly past him, some even grazing his blue wings.

The Runner has made quite a distance and is almost able to get out of the temporal field. If he does, no one will be able to stop him from getting to Blaze.

"Ah! You pesky little things!"

Hutton flies higher, removing himself from the Brutalist’s attacking range.

He slaps his two hands together.

Seeing the A-Fore use their power has given Hutton a lot of ideas about his power.

Temporal Energy Manipulation is an official A-rank power. Blaze confirmed it to them before.

He should be able to do more than speed up or slow down people.

Temporal means time. Energy exists everywhere.

Hutton is currently creating a temporal field to slow down everything inside it.

This field contains the negative side of the temporal energy. Negative energy slows people down, while positive energy speeds people up.

Previously, Hutton had merged these two sides of the temporal energy to create the Chaos Bomb, an unstable unity of the two sides of his power.

Now he intends to stack the negative energy.

Hutton creates a ball of negative temporal energy while inside the field of negative temporal energy.

He lets it expand to fuse with the current temporal field.

Then he does the same thing again, slapping his hands together to create another ball of negative temporal energy and once again fusing it to the temporal field.

Five slaps, one after the other.

Smack. Smack. Smack. Smack. Smack.

The temporal field gets reinforced five times. Even the colors inside the field have become darker compared to the outside world.

All the members of the A-Force team can feel a much heavier burden on their mind and body.

If previously, the temporal field was a lake of mud. Now, the field has become a hardened cement layer that is even hard to move your finger on.

The Crimson bites into his lip to let the blood flow out. His red aura retreats even further, now only residing in his heart.

The heart beats fiercely and loudly. Everyone around can hear it.

Now, with the stacking negative temporal energy, everyone except Hutton moves like a slow-motion movie.

Only the Crimson is somewhat unaffected by the power.

The Crimson takes out two red metal gloves and puts them on.

"You really are a nuisance, winged Awakened." 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚

The Crimson has to give it to Hutton. He is the most troublesome enemy they have faced in recent years.

They have never underestimated Hutton, but they didn’t think too much of him either. They have dealt with many A-rank threats over the years.

And the fact that they’re still standing here is enough evidence of their overwhelming power.

The Crimson rubs his two metal gloves together, creating fiery sparks that quickly expands to his entire two arms.

He looks like he has two blazing fireworks attached to his shoulder.

The Crimson slams his foot on the ground, using brute force to send him flying upward.

He punches his blazing fist into the air, sending a line of yellow sparks toward Hutton.

Sweat covers Hutton’s face. Even though he has the idea, this much exertion over his power is the first time.

It is too much for him, and Hutton is barely holding on.

He tries his best to dodge the Crimson attack, but his speed is obviously much slower now because of fatigue.

The temporal field is also shaking from time to time, showing its unstable structure.

While Hutton is doing all of that, Blaze is trying something else.

By consuming electricity, Lightning Ascension enhances Blaze’s physical attributes.

However, this enhancement is no match for the A-Fore at the moment. Blaze is simply too inexperienced to make great use of this power.

So Blaze thinks the only way to win this is if his power can overwhelm all of them.

He needs to be much faster and stronger. So fast and strong that it can close any gaps of skill and experience.

Blaze has pondered much and thought of the only way of doing this.

He aims the Destruction Wand into his mouth.
