I Only Want To Kill-Chapter 110: Final Boss
Blaze lets go of the Brutalist and turns toward the Chief of Police.
"Commissioner Gulliver. You finally show yourself."
Adam’s face is covered in darkness. When he lifts his face up, it reveals a particular golden pattern spread across his face.
It looks like a tattoo made out of gold that converges into a symbol in the middle of Adam’s forehead. A symbol of chaotic fissures with a coin in the middle.
That is the mark of Cerun-Kha. That mark exudes an unimaginable energy that even non-psychic Awakened like the Brutalist can feel it.
"What happened to him, Perisic?"
Thomas says.
A third eye slits open in the middle of the Swordmaster’s forehead. It exudes a black energy wave that can only be seen by Blaze.
The eye does not have a mouth, but it screams. A deafening, hopeless scream that causes everyone to cover their ears, except for Blaze.
Blood pours out from the corner of the third eye, and Magnar drops down on the ground. He holds his forehead tightly, fighting whatever power that is influencing his third eye.
His head is in extreme pain, and his forehead feels like being nailed by a hammer.
Blaze steps in between the A-Force and Adam. He lets out the dark red energy of Fear again, this time not aiming it at anything and only forming a barrier around them.
Magnar’s third eye calms down instantly.
"That... whatever it is. It has an enormous amount of mental power."
Magnar holds in his discomfort to speak.
"Is the root of its energy evil?"
Thomas says.
"It does. But..." Magnar looks up to the shadow figure of the Wraith. "His energy is even darker.
It is way older than whatever the Commissioner is having."
The Crimson squints his eyes, having no intention of pushing this subject further. At least now they know the Wraith is at least a powerful being of some sort.
If they’re enemies, it will be extremely bad news. But they are on one side now. The more powerful he is, the better.
Thomas grabs the Celestial Contract and shoves it into the Brutalist’s hands.
"We have no time for this. Sign it or leave. There’s more at stake!"
The Brutalist observes Adam.
The Chief of Police seems possessed. His silent and otherworldly demeanor tells him all he needs to know.
The Wraith told the truth.
"Argh! Fine!
I, Louis Sante, accept you as my master!"
The Brutalist wipes his blood onto the paper, and he is now the servant of Blaze.
"I’ll buy you some time. Get your gear on."
Blaze says.
Louis, Geri, and Philip are still naked and do not have any of their armor on. Blaze doesn’t know how powerful they are without their gears.
He would rather have them at the maximum capacity to deal with Adam.
The Chief of Police has some kind of foreign force within him. The force that is similar to the Bunny Man Blaze has met.
This will be a tough battle, and Blaze will need all the help he can get. Hugo and Anton are out. Sebastian is fighting in the sewer.
The only people left that can help him are the A-Force members.
"That won’t be necessary."
Thomas says.
The A-Force stands in a straight line.
"Battle Frame, release!"
With one scream from Thomas, all the armor on the A-Force members disintegrates, including the ones on the corpses of their fallen comrades.
"Battle Frame, access!"
And then five colored beams shoot down from the sky, enveloping the entire five members.
When it dissipates, the group is in completely pristine battle armors. Not even a scratch can be detected.
Adam finally opens his eyes. His irises fill with a yellow hue, kind of similar to the yellow shade of the Lantern.
"Who dares attack my follower?"
Blaze’s image gets consumed inside Adam’s vision. His view pierces into Blaze’s mask, trying to look through the white layer, and finds out his true identity.
Screams of countless souls roar into Adam’s ear, and he sees in Blaze’s eyes thousands of souls eaten upon a mountain of corpses.
The sky was red, and the ground was dark. Nothing exists in this world except for misery and pain. A realm of desperation.
Adam snaps out of it and grimaces.
"What are you? Some sort of primordial demon? When did you wake up?"
Adam saw something in Blaze, and he presumes a fact.
Blaze can feel Adam, or whatever is possessing Adam, poking into him. But the Tattered Mask shielded Blaze from his power. The golden patterns on it shine brightly like melted gold.
Blaze doesn’t answer and slowly approaches Adam.
He takes a sip from the Blood Potion to fully heal himself and throws it to Thomas.
"You and Magnar each take a sip. It will bring your body back to maximum potential."
The Crimson does not question and chugs the bottle immediately. All the injuries from fighting with the Wraith disappear like magic.
Thomas is extremely impressed with this concoction. Healing generative function is nothing new in this society. But most are injection- or energy-based items. Nothing is as simple as this bottle.
"Try it, Sword. It is very effective!"
The Crimson throws the bottle to Magnar, and he also takes a sip. The bottle disappears right after, and along with it is the Swordmaster’s wound.
"That’s incredible!"
Even the Swordmaster is surprised.
Adam squints his eyes. He recognizes what they’re drinking and has no intention of stopping it.
Blaze is keeping a close eye on him, so interrupting wasn’t really an option.
"Alchemy potion. I haven’t seen that for a long time."
Adam says.
The A-Force spreads out and surrounds Adam. Blaze stands right in infront of him, creating a circle to trap Adam.
Adam does not mind and only shares a glance around.
Blaze points at Adam. "That man belongs to me."
Adam laughs hysterically, holding his stomach.
"Adam Gulliver is my devoted follower. He belongs to no one but me."
"I guess we have nothing else to talk about then."
The Destruction Wand appears in Blaze’s hand.
"I agree."
Adam’s fingernails grow longer. He scratches his two arms to create long, open wounds for the blood to pour out.
Adam’s blood is very weird. It lights up in orange immediately when touching the air, then envelops his entire body like an aura or some sort.
"Another aura user? Your power is so common these days, Captain." The Swordmaster says.
"It’s not aura. That is the energy from his blood." The Crimson says.
The orange aura of Adam forms an outline around his body and stays constricted. It is different than the overflowing aura of Blaze and Crimson.
Adam’s nails are fused with this power and extend into long, thin blades. His black and grey hair also changes color, now gleaming in orange.
"This vessel has an ancient bloodline. It’s a pity that he doesn’t know how to develop it further. If he was in my realm, he would at least be in the Fusion State."
Fusion State?
Blaze is tired of the way these beings are treating him. They always mention facts or concepts that he doesn’t know anything about. But they always act like he should know it. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
Well, all will be revealed eventually. What’s important now is to survive this battle.
Blaze raises his wand.
"Let us begin!"
