"Heh." Blaze spins in mid air, turning into a mini tornado. The Twinblade cuts into the Wolf’s fingers. Blood splashes everywhere.

The Wolf Head screams in pain and retracts its hand. Suddenly, it whirls its hand in a panic. Saliva pours out from the corner of its mouth uncontrollably. The Wolf bends over and vomits. A mix of disgusting liquid spews out from its mouth. A sickly green liquid with bones and skulls floods the floorboard.

Those skulls belong to humans. Tiny yellow fire flickers in their eyes socket, their miserable souls are still trapped within their poor remains.

"It works!" The Wolf has been <Infected> by the Butcher Knife. It must have felt the worst kind of hangover right now.

Lucia runs out from under the table. Her face is a bit revolted by the ugly sight but she quickly collects her composure. The rapier in her hand turns into a giant silver blade.

Lucia and Blaze stand together and swing their blades, they cut the giant legs as hard and as many times as they can.

It is big and any attempt to attack its more vital organs will need them to jump off the ground. They do not want to take that risk. They can be grabbed by the Wolf just like Blaze previously. However, it is not guaranteed they can avoid it every time.

The Wolf lifts its foot up and stomp down on them. Lucia runs away. A faint blue glow is left behind her. Her speed is heightened by a little bit. Not too much to make her a Speedster but just enough to get out safely.

Blaze on the other hand uses the Grappling Hook to get closer to its other leg. The leg that keeps the Wolf standing at the moment. He takes out the Butcher Knife and slashes at its ankle once more. The teeth on the knife bite into the flesh of the beast like a predator.

More yellow fat gushes out.

"Why do these things not have blood?" Blaze wonders.

The Wolf wobbles again. It comes so close to falling down. Lucia aims Irony at it again, letting out as many bullets on its leaning body. She put just enough force to cause the Wolf to completely lose its balance.

The Wolf Head falls down face first on the floorboards. The wooden floor cracks into several pieces.

Lucia and Blaze take this chance and approach its head. Blaze feeds the Moonlight Twinblade his blood, making it glow in red.

The blade may be much weaker now but its piercing power is still very effective. With Blood Moon penetration, Blaze easily cuts into the side of the Wolf face, making its mouth even bigger than it already is.

Lucia points Irony inside the wound Blaze just made and fires without stopping. The ghastly bullets storm inside the head of the Wolf, causing as much damage as possible.

Blaze shoots a Grappling Hook up to one of the tables and climbs on to it. Then, he jumps down while spinning, making himself a rotating chainsaw.

He cuts through the giant’s large neck. It creates a wide open wound but not enough to sever its neck.

The Wolf regains its consciousness. It throws its hand at Lucia. She uses the giant silver blade as a shield to block. But the force is too great for her to withstand.

Lucia is sent flying, rolling a few times on the ground before stopping.

Blaze gets away in time with his Grappling Hook.

"You’re okay?" He shouts.

"I’m alright." Lucia wipes the blood off the corner of her mouth, smiling.

The Wolf grabs its head to stop it from moving wildly. The flesh between its neck slowly sews itself close.

When the Wolf stands up, it looks like it is unharmed. All the damage from before disappears.

"Damn! How are we gonna kill this thing?" Lucia curse.

"It must have a weakness somewhere." Blaze mumbles.

Think! Blaze! Think! Wait a minute...

"Do you think that is its real body?" Blaze says.

"What are you talking about?"

"It only leaks fat, not blood."

"Hmm..."

"I’m going to go inside it."

"What?!"

"Cover me!"

Blaze dashes forward. Lucia bites down hard. She doesn’t agree with Blaze’s plan but she knows there is no changing the man’s mind. She takes out Irony to fire at the Wolf.

The bullets are like mosquito bites and cannot cause too much damage to the Wolf, only annoying it.

The Wolf runs at them with its feet, intending to crush them. Blaze shoots the Grappling Hook on its body and climbs on it. He slashes its stomach wide open, more yellow fat gushing out from the wound.

"What a terrible smell." Blaze calms himself then slides into its wound.

The Wolf slaps at its stomach, intending to crush Blaze but he is already gone.

"You’d better get out of there alive!" Lucia shouts, then runs as fast as she can. Without Blaze, she is the only target now.

The Wolf chases her relentlessly through the room. Lucia makes use of the giant furniture to block its charges.

Inside the Wolf’s body is a sea of vast yellow fat. Naturally, Blaze has to hold his breath.

Suddenly, all the internal organs of the Wolf reveal their true color. It is made of countless souls connecting to each other, creating this one giant body.

Blaze can see the connections between them, holding them together to form this creature.

He already knows what to do.

Outside, Lucia keeps running and running. She turns back to shoot at it a couple times before continuing to run.

All the furniture inside the room is flipped upside down. Some are even broken into pieces. There aren’t even many giant pieces of furniture left.

Soon, there will be no blockage for Lucia to use.

But then the Wolf stops in place. The <Infected> status is in effect again. The Wolf bends down to vomit some more, this time even more liquid exits its body.

Lucia can see that its size is slowly getting smaller by the amount of liquid it loses.

This gives her an idea. She stops aiming the gun at its head and instead poking as many holes as possible on its skin.

The more fat goes out, the more mass the Wolf loses. From a five-six story giant, the Wolf is reduced to the size of a three or four story building.

"It’s working!" Lucia doesn’t know if it is her or Blaze. But whatever they’re doing, it is effective.

Suddenly, the Wolf drops down on its knees and it pukes a lot more. This time the liquid is no longer just vomit but also yellow shiny fat.

The fat has a shiny yellow color and even glows. Lucia swears that she sees faces mixed into the fat.

She doesn’t dare to approach it so she keeps blasting, poking more holes and damaging the Wolf while it is down.

The Wolf arches its back and lifts its head up high. It is howling. The noise of a cornered, desperate beast cries out for mercy.

But there is none left for it.

The Wolf drops down on the floor, motionless. Gold liquid leaks out from its mouth.

Lucia carefully steps closer but she stops.

On the Wolf’s back, a giant ball of meat rises up. Lucia’s getting ready for round two but instead, the meatball explodes to reveal Blaze in his black cloak.

He’s holding some kind of strand with yellow color. He rips it off from the Wolf’s spine, completely severing it.

The strands lost their color and wither into ashes.

Blaze jumps out of the beast and runs at Lucia.

"You did it!"

"Now now. We did it!"

"We did it!" Lucia happily celebrates but she stops immediately. Blaze is still on edge. "What’s wrong?"

Blaze looks over to the Wolf, hands still holding the Twinblade. There is no system notification yet. That means it is still alive.

"It may not be dead. Be ready."

The Wolf suddenly opens its eyes. Its body scrambles on the floor. And then, the Wolf slides out from the fat human suit.

The Wolf Head loses its human body and pulls out a completely unharmed body of a wolf.

"What the?" Lucia says.

"I didn’t see that inside its body before. It must have manifested the new body just now."

The Wolf shakes its body. The mix of liquids on its body splashes to the surrounding. What was the fat man with the Wolf Head is now a giant wolf in red.

It has red fur and red eyes. Its fur stands up on its body like a porcupine. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

The Wolf looks over to the pair and opens its mouth. Dark red lava shoots out.

Blaze grabs Lucia’s waist and uses the Grappling Hook to move them away from the lava.

The lava burns everything in its path and eats into the floorboards like acid.

When it is done, a long black bottomless pit is created on the floor.
