I Picked the Useless Class… Turns Out It's the Most Broken in the Game-Chapter 30: Who?
"Yeah, yeah, senior. But the plants are sensitive, you should not disturb them." His voice came out low, polite.
But, before they could converse more about it, the beautiful petals of the flower slowly started to turn brownish in colour as if they were losing their life.
Synthia got up quickly, staggered back slightly as her eyes started to fill up with tears.
"Did I make it like that?" She said, her voice was low.
Leon kept his hand on her shoulder, and a warm smile appeared on his face. "No, senior. Maybe it’s one of their defensive mechanisms, so don’t think about that and wipe your tears."
She started weeping, but then raised both of her hands and wiped the tears from her eyes with the back of her hand.
He started moving once again, his steps were low and deliberate, and his voice came low. "Let’s keep moving, we don’t have a lot of time on us."
She gave a small nod, taking a deep breath as she started walking behind him once again.
"Oh... isn’t that kid a little too interesting?" Someone said, Voice was cheesy, but polite.
A creature was hiding inside the huge branches of the trees, which were covered by the leaves.
It was keeping an eye on Leon from behind, noticing each and every action which he was taking.
A small, beautiful being with a soft green-coloured body, and four delicate wings on each side of its body that shimmered with a bright green light.
It carried a calm, noble aura, which was gentle, just like a pure spirit born from the heart of nature itself.
"Shall I follow behind that child?" The spirit muttered to itself, keeping its hand below its chin.
It jumped down the branch on which it was sitting, the wings of the fairy spread wide as it started flying towards them.
The bright white light started flickering from their front, hitting directly into their eyes.
"I think we have reached the end of the forest, senior," Leon said, his hands buried deep inside his pockets.
"Finally... this journey was sooooo tiring." She said, a small yawn escaped through her mouth as she stretched both of her arms in the air.
The bright light of the moon finally took both of them into its grasp. A broad pathway was in front of them, which was leading to a town ahead.
Both of them made their way out of the ’Never Return Jungle.’
"So, this ’Never Return Jungle’ wasn’t that big of a deal, yeah?" Leon said, looking at Synthia through the side of his eye.
"Well, thanks to me that I killed all of those Treants, yeah?" She looked at Leon and gave a small wink.
"Yes, yes, senior." He said.
Both of them walked towards the town. The road was a bit muddy, but the rest was fine.
When they reached the town, the streets were bustling and buzzing with the sounds of merchants and shop vendors.
The sound of iron clanking was filling the air, a blacksmith’s shop was near them, and many players were standing in front of it.
The streets were filled with multiple people, some of them were NPCs, and some were players.
On each side of the road, shops containing normal accessories were there, and some were even selling food.
Leon’s eyes were scanning the surroundings, moving from one area to another. ’Hmm... a lot of players are in this small town? That’s strange.’
"Senior, let’s go to the nearest inn and spend our night there." He said, his voice was firm.
She just gave a small nod and placed both of her hands next to her waist.
Leon made his way to the nearest shop vendor, but the shop was completely covered by a huge crowd of customers.
When he reached there, he waited patiently for the crowd to move away, and when he reached in front of the vendor, his body leaned in slightly as he bowed.
His voice came firm, but polite. "Mister, can you tell me where the nearby inn is?"
The shop vendor looked up at Leon, who was bowing slightly. "Go straight and take a left into that street, there’s the guest inn." He said.
His gaze shifted to the customers once again, and he started showing them his shop’s items.
A small sigh escaped through Leon’s mouth as he made his way to where Synthia was standing.
Her hands were crossed, and a cloak was wrapped around her shoulders.
"Senior, I got the location for the inn, let’s go." He said as he started walking in the direction he had just asked the vendor.
They made their way to the nearby inn. The inn was built from wood, a small structure with a large board mounted above it that read: The Guest Inn.
Leon’s hand extended forward as he grabbed the handle of the door and slid it open.
The insides of the inn were broad, there were three sofas kept next to the right wall near the entry door, and on the left side was a table with a register kept on it.
Next to the table was a chair, and sitting on it was an old lady. Her hair was completely gray, wrinkles covered her face, and a pen was held in her hand.
He went to her, his eyes scanning her completely. His voice came low, but firm. "Hello, ma’am. We want to spend our night here."
She looked up from the register, her gaze fell onto Leon.
Her voice filled the room, cracking lightly. "Yes, young man. We have rooms available for the night."
She took a small pause as she tilted her head lightly and looked at Synthia. "Are you two together?" She asked.
He gave a small nod, agreeing with her.
She then continued. "Should I give the keys to one room, or two?"
Leon didn’t hesitate as he said, "Two rooms, please."
