I Reborn as a God Within a Statue, And You Ask Me to Enslave All Gods?-Chapter 127 --The New Grade-B Devotee
Chapter 127: Chapter127-The New Grade-B Devotee
"Let the ritual begin!"
As the gentle light of dawn fully enveloped Annasi Town, Thomas stood solemnly in the town square, slowly raising his head to gaze at the grand and sacred temple. His voice rang out with uplifting power, reverberating through the crisp morning air.
At his declaration, dozens of awakeners moved swiftly, placing the spellbeasts they had hunted over the past few days onto the tables in front of the temple. In the center of the offering table, several items had already been placed—ceremonial offerings hidden beneath silver domes, glinting faintly under the morning light.
As the sacrificial spellbeasts were laid out in place, the gathered townsfolk—already waiting with bated breath—widened their eyes and focused intently on Thomas, anticipation swelling in their hearts.
"Everyone," Thomas began, his voice steady yet filled with passion, "as a missionary of Deus Initium, I consider it a supreme honor to hold this position, to spread the sacred faith of Deus Initium not only here, but to neighboring villages and even as far as Black Iron!"
"Among those of us gathered here today, some hail from nearby settlements, some are homeless wanderers, some have survived the cruel captivity of spellbeasts, and some come from the very heart of Black Iron!"
"We come from many places—but because of Deus Initium, we are gathered here together!"
"Annasi used to be a name synonymous with poverty and backwardness," he continued. "But ever since Deus Initium descended upon us, everything has changed. The Vampire Baron was slain, and the village is no longer plagued by spellbeasts."
"He purified the Fallen Lands, restoring our skies and lands to humankind!"
"He cleansed the areas surrounding Black Iron of spellbeasts and Aberrations. If our town stands strong today, it is solely thanks to Deus Initium. I have never forgotten, nor would I ever dare to forget His grace. I believe all of you feel the same way."
"Since I was born, countless friends and family have been devoured by spellbeasts."
"Many human warriors rose up to fight back, but it was all in vain!"
"Yet, there has always been one unshakable belief in my heart—humankind is not food for spellbeasts!"
"Humankind will rise again!"
"And now, with the arrival of Deus Initium, that belief has finally been affirmed!"
"Let us all bow before Deus Initium!"
"Let us welcome our God!"
Thomas’s voice grew stronger and more fervent with every word, echoing in the ears of every person present. Then, taking the lead, he knelt down before the temple and bowed in devout reverence to Deus Initium.
These were his truest thoughts—without Deus Initium, they would have nothing.
No praise, no hymn, could ever equal even one-thousandth of the grace Deus Initium had shown them.
As Thomas lowered himself in worship, radiant divine patterns began to surface across his body. A special wave of reverent energy slowly began to spread outward.
Thomas was transforming—ascending toward the rank of a Grade-B Devotee.
With every passing day, as his understanding of Deus Initium deepened, a sense of regret for not having believed earlier stirred within him. At this moment, his faith had never been stronger. Though he remained unaware of it, his soul had already quietly surrendered itself to complete devotion.
"Bow before Deus Initium!"
"He is the hope of all humankind, the future of our people! Thank you, Deus Initium, for all the help you have given us!"
Even the far-traveled Lord Tom bowed low before Deus Initium. Though he wasn’t a native of Annasi Town, the god’s destruction of spellbeasts and cleansing of Aberrations had greatly benefited the people of Black Iron.
Following suit, the village chiefs such as John who stood behind Thomas, also lowered their heads and bowed toward the temple, their expressions solemn and sincere. In that moment, they appeared like holy angels, cloaked in radiant light.
The villagers who had gathered in the square followed, kneeling one after another in emotional reverence.
"Thank you, Deus Initium. You are our hope! You are our savior!"
Tens of thousands of voices converged, forming a thunderous wave of faith and praise. The town was immersed in this sacred atmosphere; even the air itself seemed to carry the scent of piety, thick with a religious fervor.
Even some spectators from Black Iron who had merely come to observe were moved by the atmosphere. Their expressions grew solemn, and their hearts found a new sense of reverence toward Deus Initium.
"Bring forth the incense!"
Thomas shouted again, raising his voice above the crowd. He took the lead by placing the incense he held onto the ceremonial table.
"Great Deus Initium, can you hear the humble prayers of your devout servants?"
"Your loyal and humble devotee begs of you—please keep this town safe from spellbeasts, from all evil spirits!"
Following his lead, the other villagers behind him swiftly raised the incense they had brought and scattered it toward the temple.
In an instant, the vast square was shrouded in fragrant mist. The spices gave off a refreshing scent that filled the air. The fine particles shimmered in the sunlight, casting dazzling rainbows across the plaza.
Those glimmering lights flowed like rivers toward the temple, illuminating it with a divine splendor. The building now looked even more towering and magnificent—like an unscalable mountain rising from the center of the town.
Everyone who looked directly at the temple felt an innate sense of smallness, as if they stood before an almighty power. freёwebnoѵel.com
"Great Deus Initium, these offerings come from your devout devotees. This is all we can give you."
As Thomas finished speaking, even those on the outskirts of the square began to kneel—beings not entirely human.
The Zerg Queen, the Infernal Envoy, the demonized pine tree Isabella, and the pack of nine bloodwolves, all prostrated themselves devoutly, offering their worship.
"Oh Deus Initium, I am your humble devotee," the Zerg Queen murmured, her forehead nearly pressed into the earth. "Please grant me your divine blessing. Let me become your Vassal God, so I may serve you even better!"
Ever since learning that James and Tommy had become Vassal Gods under Deus Initium, she had been deeply invested in this possibility. To her, becoming a god and gaining immortality—so she could endlessly propagate the Zerg race—was a purpose embedded deep in her very DNA.
As for the demonized pine tree Isabella, she closed her eyes and prayed silently:
"Respected Deus Initium, now that you’ve become a true deity, surely you still need a powerful mount. Though I am but a tree, as long as I stand on solid ground, my speed is no slower than flying through the skies..."
She had survived countless years and desired nothing more than to stay close to Deus Initium, to learn from him. There were too many techniques—no, too much knowledge—she had yet to experience. What better mentor than a god?
Meanwhile, the nine bloodwolves—whose bloodlines had recently evolved—also prayed fervently, their eyes closed:
"Great Deus Initium, would you permit us siblings to explore the world outside? There are so many treasures and wonders we’ve never seen!"
Despite their formidable strength, the bloodwolves still seemed young at heart, curious and eager to witness the riches of the wider world beyond the mountains.
As all living beings in the area bowed in prayer to Deus Initium—
Countless spice points soared skyward, swirling through the skies like glowing currents, and rapidly flowed into the temple, as if all rivers were converging into the sea.
They gathered into the divine statue of Owen, pouring into it like a torrent of faith. The god’s image stood tall—silent, but ever-watching.
