Chapter 99: Chapter99-Elementalization

At the same time, a divine radiance burst forth, and Owen’s divine point count increased by 300.

With the addition of these 300 divine points, he now had a total of 43,525 divine points.

If not for granting James and Tommy the Divine Thrones of Vassal Gods, and allocating them some divine points to perform Necromancy, his total divine points would have almost broken through 50,000 by now.

Feeling the surging divine power within him, Owen’s gaze fell onto the two items before him.

Both of the system rewards were extremely precious. After all, at this stage, it was almost unheard of to have two Vassal Gods under one’s command—he was the only one who had ever achieved this!

Because of this, the rewards were of extremely high grade. Normally, such a task could only be completed after one’s Godhood Rank reached a much higher level. But Owen had miraculously accomplished it ahead of schedule.

Hell Statue — A special item containing a unique internal space capable of housing up to 1000 Infernal Ghosts, with a minimum capacity of 100. The more powerful the Infernal Ghosts within, the more formidable the final form of the Hell Statue becomes.

The lowest-grade Hell Statue already possesses strength equivalent to a nameless god.

After understanding the function of the Hell Statue, a flash of delight appeared on Owen’s face.

This Hell Statue was truly a treasure!

With it, the combat effectiveness of the Infernal Ghosts could be dramatically enhanced. While individual ghosts weren’t powerful on their own, when united through the Hell Statue, they could unleash strength comparable to a nameless god!

And that was just the lowest-tier form. If the ghosts were stronger and more numerous—what heights could the Hell Statue reach?

Could it rival a 1-star Ancient God?

Or even a 2-star Ancient God, like himself?

Owen’s eyes gleamed with anticipation.

With the Hell Statue, the Infernal Ghosts under James’s command would become a major force in his army!

Currently, his hell contained 170 Infernal Ghosts:

2 of tier-4 advanced level3 of tier-3 advanced level15 of tier-2 advanced level150 of tier-2 beginner level

If all these ghosts entered the Hell Statue, what form would it ultimately take?

Could it match the strength of a 1-star Ancient God?

Or perhaps even rival a 1-star peak Ancient God?

Owen regarded this as extremely important. Whether it was for clearing spellbeasts and Aberrations within his territory, or for the upcoming Divine War in a month, this ultimate weapon would be a powerful trump card—one that would greatly increase his chances of victory.

After all, in Divine War, besides the Vassal Gods, hell was another decisive factor!

Though eventually, other deities would gain similar artifacts, for now, he was the only one who had such an edge.

Even in the Divine Order Grand Tournament, the other top deities could not compare to him.

After that, Owen’s gaze shifted to the other reward: the ring Servant of the Death.

Servant of the Death — When worn, this ring allows a devotee to become a "Servant of the Death", transforming their body into an elemental state. This state can block most physical attacks and some magical ones, while greatly enhancing combat abilities.

After reading its description, Owen was even more pleased.

The ability to elementalize one’s body was something only advanced awakeners could normally perform. Once elementalized, physical attacks were drastically weakened, and even magical attacks lost half their potency. More importantly, in this state, the user would resonate with the elements, causing every move and spell to be naturally enhanced by elemental power—allowing the user to fight across entire tiers!

They could even surpass their tier to battle spellbeasts!

Such a massive power-up was made for war—no wonder it was called Servant of the Death. Owen was more than satisfied.

Among his followers, many were gifted and battle-hardened awakeners.

Take Thomas and John, for example—both were currently tier-4 awakeners. With the aid of Servant of the Death, they could even challenge tier-5 spellbeasts.

In the Black Iron domain, aside from Owen himself, they’d be nearly unstoppable!

Tier-4 awakeners were already top-tier there. There wasn’t a single tier-5 awakener in Black Iron. And even if one appeared, with the power of this ring, they could be utterly defeated—or even destroyed!

However, precisely because there were so many worthy candidates, Owen found himself hesitating. Who should he grant it to?

A ring like Servant of the Death couldn’t be acquired again in the near future.

It was a system reward. Buying one would only be possible after other gods completed their stage 11 quests, which would take a long time...

And even then, it was unlikely anyone would be willing to sell such a treasure. If they did, it would cost a fortune.

Most importantly, waiting for others to reach that stage would take too long...

"...Maybe not too long," Owen muttered to himself. "The Divine War is about to begin!"

At that point, the old order would be shattered.

All gods would be fighting tooth and nail for survival. With the system fanning the flames, every deity’s growth would accelerate dramatically.

That meant quests would be completed faster too.

And as long as one defeated another god, they could take everything from them!

"Divine War... brimming with rewards, but just as full of danger."

"But for me, the opportunity far outweighs the risk!"

This time, he had already done everything in his power to prepare for the Divine War.

"...For now, I’ll give this ring to Frank," Owen finally decided. "His parents died young, and he was raised by the entire village. He’s gifted, and has the feel of a ’child of destiny’."

With that, Owen reached out, and the Servant of the Death ring shot out from the divine statue, hurtling toward Frank.

"This ring holds great power. I hope that, in the coming Divine War, you will not let me down."

Owen’s voice rang out solemnly.

"Tommy has actually become the Earth God under Deus Initium!"

"And James became the Water God before him! Now Tommy is the second god under Deus Initium!"

"I can’t believe it. We have to work even harder and offer even more devoted prayers to Deus Initium. One of us could become the third!"

"Exactly! Even though Tommy only joined Annasi Town recently, his devotion to Deus Initium surpasses even ours, and that’s why he was chosen..."

Outside the temple, a crowd had gathered.

Thomas stood at the front, leading the congregation in worship.

John, Eric, Kevin, Frank, and the other key figures of the village had all assembled, their faces lit with excitement.

Tommy’s ascension to godhood had deeply inspired them.

Though he joined the town later, he became a god by sheer devotion. They had believed in Deus Initium from the start—surely they, too, would be recognized and rewarded!

To become a god!

They were filled with conviction.

Just as the crowd buzzed with discussion, a cold, sinister-looking ring radiating chilling energy flew out from the divine statue and shot toward Frank. In an instant, it slid perfectly onto his ring finger.

In that moment, a violent wave of elemental energy erupted from Frank’s body!

Everyone was blasted back by the force. A large empty space formed around Frank as the epicenter.

And then, the phenomenon surrounding him grew more and more intense.

His body was engulfed in swirling black elemental energy, as though he had merged completely with the elements themselves!

"Wait... this... this looks like Elementalization!"

At that moment, Revan, Tommy’s son, cried out in shock.

He was quite gifted and had traveled widely. Upon seeing Frank’s transformation, he immediately recognized the state of elementalization—a rare condition only advanced awakeners could achieve!
