I Was Transmigrated As An Extraordinary Extra-Chapter 166
Chapter 166: Chapter 166
Next, I had a short chat with Adrian, while the rest of our team busied themselves with preparations for karaoke. Alena was talking to the phone ordering snacks, Hannah was busy fiddling with the remote to reserve her song, while Ezekiel, for reasons known only to him, was oddly clutching two tambourines as if preparing for a one-man band.
"Alright, I’ll be the first one to sing, just like we discussed in our group chat! Ezekiel, you’re next, right?" Hannah declared, a glimmer of mischievous excitement in her eyes.
Ezekiel’s shoulders shook at the sudden attention, the tambourines quivering in his grip.
We cheered enthusiastically as Hannah’s song began.
Wake up to the morning light,
The world is shining, oh what a sight!
Birds are singing, flowers bloom,
Feel the joy chase away the gloom.
It was a cheerful tune, perfectly reflecting her vibrant personality. As she wrapped up the first verse, a glint of mischief sparkled in her eyes. "I’m done singing! Your turn!" She hastily passed the remote and microphone to Ezekiel.
Ezekiel looked dumbfounded. "B-but you haven’t finished the song! It’s unfair!"
Hannah simply chuckled, her eyes dancing with glee. "We discussed in the chat that everyone would sing, but we didn’t say we had to finish the song~"
Ezekiel had no choice but to gulp. He frantically rummaged through the songbook, searching for something he felt confident enough to tackle. As he found a song, the anticipation in the room grew, and we held our breaths.
In the stillness of the evening,
When the stars begin to shine,
I find solace in the shadows,
And the moonlight feels so fine.
The world around me quiets,
As I breathe the night’s embrace,
Memories like gentle whispers,
In this peaceful, sacred space.
Ezekiel’s voice broke the air softly, wrapping around us like a warm hug. We were mesmerized, completely taken by the soothing, gentle melody that flowed from him. His singing had a serene quality, drawing us into a tranquil moment amidst the chaos of the karaoke bar.
As he paused after the first verse, the room fell into a stunned silence. We were all awestruck, mouths slightly agape, trying to process just how beautifully he had sung. A brief moment lingered before any of us could speak.
"W-who’s next?" Ezekiel stammered, clearly unaware of the effect he had just had on us.
It took a few moments for Hannah to find her voice. "Wow, Ezekiel! That was incredible!"
Alena nodded in enthusiastic agreement, her gaze sparkling. "I think I fell in love with you again," she teased, her smile genuine yet playful.
"Your turn, Remillia!" Hannah urged, her enthusiasm contagious.
"Heh~" I stood up, making my way toward the music book, a playful grin stretching across my face.
They don’t know this yet but my friends were already aware that I’m a terrible singer. 1 But since they insisted on dragging me into this karaoke night, I figured I might as well give them one hellish performance they wouldn’t forget anytime soon.
As the upbeat tune started to roll, I took a deep breath and launched into the chorus with gusto. "We’re chasing the sun—!"
Before I could even finish the line, a wave of horror washed over their faces, smiles fading as they cringed at the sound of my voice.
"Make her stop!" Adrian yelled, his expression both pained and desperate.
"Somebody grab the microphone away from her!" Alena squealed, feigning a dramatic swoon.
"S-shut down the power!" Hannah suggested wildly, eyes darting around for any possible escape from my torturous rendition.
Ezekiel, on the other hand, was simply dumbfounded, staring at me as though he were witnessing a train wreck in slow motion.
It’s like repeating the same night when I was with my friends singing.
I was doing my best to keep a straight face, fighting back laughter at their horrified reactions, which only fueled my determination to go on. "We’re dancing in the dark—" I belted out, pumping my fists in a ridiculously exaggerated manner.
Suddenly, I caught a glimpse of movement at the door. There was Kairos, peeking in with an amused grin plastered across his face, clearly enjoying my performance—and the suffering of my teammates—immensely.
He chuckled softly, shaking his head as he witnessed the spectacle. Apparently, I had inadvertently turned karaoke night into a comedy show.
My teammates, meanwhile, had begun to huddle together as if working out a rescue plan. The frantic murmurs of "What do we do?" and "Is this even legal?" filled the air, sparking more giggles from me.
"Come on, just a little more!" I called out, reveling in the absurdity of the moment. "We’re here for the fun, right?"
That day, as soon as I finsihed the song. They quickly pulled me out of the karaoke bar as we went bowling instead.

Thursday. One day left before the field trip.
I was attempting to focus while doing a handstand in my room amidst the chaos when the system constantly pinged me. It was like trying to focus while someone repeatedly poked me in the side.
[Hey...]
I remained silent, concentrating on my breath, hoping the system would take the hint and let me be.
[Remillia...]
"What do you want now? I’m in the middle of training," I muttered, trying to keep my balance.
[I’ve got an update for you...]
With a frustrated sigh, I finally flipped back onto my feet, shaking off the urge to give the system a piece of my mind. "Can you just tell me directly?"
[It’s about the settings of this novel...]
I crossed my arms, tapping my foot impatiently. "At this point, if it’s important, just spill the beans already."
[The plot changed at the Peenoise Institution field trip event. This minor event changed into a major event for the main characters to grow.]
"So care to tell me what would happen at the field trip?" I pressed, arching an eyebrow, curiosity piqued.
[That’s what I’ve been trying to find. All I know was that they’ll be facing a powerful vengeful spirit roaming around there.]
"Is that all?" My voice dripped with skepticism.
[Yes. I’ll update you again.]
I rolled my eyes. "Haa... So I had no choice but to join the field trip, right?"
[Well, it’s up to you if you want to babysit them or let them die.]
The system’s nonchalance about the main characters’ potential peril made my throat tighten. "Wonderful choice of words." I sighed, running a hand through my hair.
If I wanted to keep my friends from getting into trouble—or worse—I’d have to step up. Again. I don’t want of them to die before the future events.
Reluctantly, I opened my smartwatch and scrolled to the sign-up for the trip. My fingers hovered hesitantly over the screen.
After a moment of contemplation, I input my name next to the list of students attending the field trip tomorrow.
Once I hit submit, a notification popped up:
[Congratulations! You’ve officially signed up. The meeting place will be at Monfort Portal Station, 5 AM]

Friday. Field trip day.
I reluctantly packed the things that I’ll be needing inside my expansion pouch. With everything packed up, I took a deep breath before stepping out of my room.
"Macaron, I’ll be going somewhere," I said, looking down at him perched on my desk.
<Is it another mission of yours?> he asked, his eyes widening with interest.
"Yeah, and maybe this will take a while," I replied.
<Then let me help you!> Macaron exclaimed, bouncing slightly.
I shook my head, a small smile escaping. "I’ll call you if I need your help, okay?"
<Okay! Good luck!> Macaron cheered, his voice chirping with enthusiasm.
"Bye, Macaron," I said, giving him a quick wave before closing the door behind me.
The air was still crisp when I stepped outside, the world waking up just enough to see the sun rising up. I barely managed to arrive at Aeonia Portal Station on time.
"Ah, Remillia’s here!" Christian called out, their voices cutting through the early morning quiet.
As soon as I approached, I felt the collective gaze of six people pinned to me.
I rushed up to them, trying to catch my breath.
"You’re two minutes late," Edge said, pointing at his watch like a judge at a competition. I couldn’t help but check the time myself. He was right, it read 5:02 A.M.
"...As if I wanted to be here..." I muttered under my breath, the words slipping out before I could stop them.
"Can you repeat what you said?" Edge snapped his head around, catching the tail end of my comment, his expression a mix of curiosity and annoyance.
I plastered on a smile, the kind that didn’t reach my eyes. "I said I’m sorry, Your Highness," I replied, feigning a courtly bow.
"...." His silence was deafening as he rolled his eyes.
Edge ignored me, his attention shifting as he waved his hand in the air.
I followed his gesture to spot a sleek limousine already waiting for us at the curb. The seven of us climbed into the car one by one, settling into the plush seats that felt comfy.
