I Was Transmigrated As An Extraordinary Extra-Chapter 201
Chapter 201: Chapter 201
I rolled my eyes at what Edge said. Although he was acting like a child facing his rival, he wasn’t particularly hostile toward Cypher. Normally, this would be the moment where Edge would get so annoyed that he’d forget his manners and start a chaotic food fight. But today, his teasing felt more playful than aggressive, making it amusing to watch him childishly pick on Cypher.
I couldn’t help but wonder why Edge had changed so much. Was it the influence of our group? Or was he just in a good mood today?
My thoughts were interrupted by a knock. "Your food is ready," the waiter announced as he wheeled out a cart full of delicious dishes.
The sight of the food immediately shifted the atmosphere at the table. Angela’s eyes lit up, and she leaned forward eagerly. "Finally! I’m starving!"
The waiter began to serve the plates, presenting a lavish full-course meal that included Foie Gras Terrine with Fig Jam and Brioche, Lobster Risotto with Saffron and Parmesan, Grilled Lemon Herb Chicken, Filet Mignon, Herb-Crusted Rack of Lamb, Pan-Seared Scallops, Seafood Paella, Pasta Primavera, Beef Tacos, Vegetable Stir-Fry, Chocolate Lava Cake, and White Rice.
Among the dozen dishes, I eagerly chose the Filet Mignon. I had been craving meat for a while now, especially since every time I tried to cook my own, Macaron and Glacier were already waiting, drooling at my feet. I had no choice but to settle for cafeteria food most of the time.
As soon as I took a bite, the steak practically melted in my mouth. I groaned in satisfaction. "Mmm, I wish I could eat this type of foods every day."
"Yeah, me too," Cypher commented, who had chosen Grilled Lemon Herb Chicken as his food.
I was about to respond when Angela chimed in, her excitement palpable. "It’s good, right? Right?" she exclaimed, practically bouncing in her seat. "I’m glad I was the one who chose where we would be eating."
"It is," Cypher said with a smile and took another bite.
Seeing him enjoy his meal, Angela cheered him on enthusiastically again. "It’s good, right?"
Instead of Cypher answering, I chimed in. "Yes, it’s good, so quiet down now," I said as I focused eating on my food.
"Okay, okay," Angela replied, wearing a pout on her lips.
After that, I returned to observing Edge. He was eyeing Cypher like a hawk, scrutinizing him for the slightest mistake to nitpick and attack him. But as he watched Cypher display flawless table manners, Edge seemed to give up and redirected his focus to his own food instead.
I glanced down at my plate to continue eating. "Huh?" I muttered, surprised to find another filet mignon on my plate. freeweɓnøvel.com
What happened? Did I spit it back out? Or did this plate have magical abilities that automatically refilled food? I don’t want to think more but there is only one person I knew who liked to put food on my plate.
I immediately looked at Cypher, and sure enough, he was smiling at me.
"Judging by how much you enjoyed your food, you can have mine," Cypher said, his eyes twinkling with warmth.
This was the first time in a while that I felt close to him again. My heart raced wildly as I stared at his smile.
’Stop beating like that, you stupid heart!’ I scolded myself internally. I gave him a quick thanks, then looked down at my plate.
I quickly gobbled up the extra filet mignon, nearly choking on the food in my haste. Luckily, Cypher was quick to react, handing me a glass of water.
"Slow down," Cypher said while chuckling. "Do you want me to order more?"
I almost emptied out the glass of water in my haste. "N-No," I said, coughing slightly as I tried to regain my composure. "This is enough for me."
Angela, who had been watching our exchange with a jealous glare, suddenly chimed in. "Umm Cypher! Here!" She placed the scallops in front of Cypher.
"Thanks, Angela," Cypher said, smiling as he handed her the plate of Pasta Primavera. "Here, if I remember correctly, you used to love this."
"Aww, you still remember!" Angela exclaimed, her face lighting up with delight. "Thanks!"
Edge, observing their interaction with a serious expression, couldn’t help but place the plate of Grilled Lemon Herb Chicken in front of her as well. "I know your taste in food has changed, so take a bite of this too," he said, a hint of mischief in his voice.
I looked at the three of them, feeling a strange mix of emotions. A love triangle. That’s how I would describe their relationship in the novel. Cypher, Angela, and Edge—each of them had their own dynamic. But as I sat there, I realized I had stopped writing this story, and I had no idea who Angela would end up with.
As the group continued to banter and share food, I silently finished my meal, feeling like an observer in a scene that was both familiar and complicated.
After the meal, we headed to a karaoke bar to enjoy the rest of the evening. The place was lively, filled with laughter and music, a perfect spot to unwind after the day.
But as soon as they realized I was there, the mood shifted. They quickly decided to change the course of the evening. I caught the knowing glances and frown exchanged between them—they probably didn’t want to hear me sing. Considering how terrible I am at it, I wouldn’t blame them; even a baby could probably carry a tune better than me.
We decided to skip karaoke and head straight to the movie theater instead. As soon as we stepped into the lobby, the debate erupted—everyone had different ideas about what to watch, and nobody was backing down.
"I’m up for an action flick," Edge declared confidently, folding his arms.
"I agree with him," Rex nodded, already pulling out his phone to check the rating of the movie.
"Come on, guys, horror is where the real adrenaline is," Angela argued, rolling her eyes. "We need something scary to get the blood pumping!"
"Romance could be fun," Whitney chimed in sweetly, "something light and feel-good."
Cypher, always the calm voice of reason, said, "Honestly, a good drama would be perfect. Something with depth."
Christian smirked, tilting his head. "Why don’t we choose comedy instead? Laughter’s the best medicine, especially after everything we’ve been through."
The hall buzzed with voices, each of them trying to sway the others, the opposing opinions bouncing off the walls.
I was the only one who stayed quiet, letting the conversation flow, waiting for a decision. I’m necessarily not picky about what movie should we watch as long as it’s good.
I was lost in my thoughts when I noticed that it was suddenly silent. When I looked at them, I was surprised when they already circled me like a vulture, eyeing me.
"W-What? Why are you looking at me like that?" I asked, cautiously taking a step back as they started to close in.
Rex was the first to speak. "Pick a genre," he simply said.
Christian nodded eagerly. "Yeah, what do you wanna see?"
Whitney leaned in. "Your vote. What’s it gonna be?"
I looked around at the group, seeing the mixture of eager and serious faces. "What’s the tally anyway?" I asked, sighing in defeat.
Christian grinned. "Two for action, two for horror, and two for comedy. We only need your vote to break the tie."
Since I hadn’t voted, I decided I’d be the one to pick the movie. "Instead of voting, I’ll be the one to choose instead," I announced, stepping forward confidently.
"Pfft! You?" Rex scoffed.
"Since when did you get to order us?" Edge said with a glare.
I shot him a quick glare. "Do you want me to tell them what happened when you rode my bike with me?" I said, voice steady.
Edge’s eyes widened. "You wouldn’t dare...!"
I cleared my throat. "Did you know that—" I started to say but he quickly cut me off.
"Fine, fine! Choose any damn movie whatever you want!" Edge said to me while glaring.
Whitney watched everything unfold with a flicker of envy in her eyes. She crossed her arms, trying to hide it. "What is she talking about, Edge?" she asked, voice tinged with curiosity and a hint of frustration.
"You don’t need to know," Edge mumbled in annoyance.
Whitney hesitated for a moment, biting her lip, unsure if she should push further. But she kept quiet, who is she to Edge anyway? She’s just his childhood friend.
Angela raised an eyebrow at me, skeptical. "What if we don’t like the movie you pick?"
I grinned, trying to sound confident. "Don’t worry. Just sit back and relax. I’ve got the tickets and snacks—on me," I said, hoping to reassure everyone.
Edge shot me a warning look, eyes narrowing. "Make sure it’s a good one, or else..." he said, his tone serious. Then he turned and headed toward the ticket counter with the others.
After a bit of back-and-forth, I managed to convince everyone to trust my choice. I simply picked the very first movie I saw when we entered the theater—the one that caught my eye.
We settled into our seats, popcorn in hand, as the lights dimmed and the movie started. To my surprise, it was a perfect mix—action, comedy, and suspense all rolled into one. It kept everyone engaged and happy, just like I hoped.
