I'll Raise My Future Omega Son-in-law-Chapter 156: GAME CHANGER
MY BABIES.
That was what Yun Dujun thought while watching Bae Wonyoung and Yun Yuhyun sleeping on the bed side-by-side.
He felt so blessed waking up to that beautiful scene.
Not that he slept.
He just closed his eyes to rest, but all his senses were awake.
Yun Dujun stayed like that until it was morning.
He washed his face and brushed his teeth first, and when he came out of the bathroom, Bae Wonyoung was already awake.
And his husband was staring at Yun Yuhyun with warm eyes.
I can’t believe I neglected these precious babies in the original timeline.
It still felt surreal, finding out that another timeline existed.
That, in that timeline, he lost Bae Wonyoung because he was a cold-hearted bastard who focused too much on acting instead of focusing on his family.
Worse, he neglected Yun Yuhyun after his husband died.
It’s my fault that Yun Yuhyun turned out like that in the other timeline.
Yun Dujun promised himself that he wouldn’t let the same tragedy happen again.
"Good morning, Sunbae-nim."
"Good morning," Yun Dujun greeted Bae Wonyoung back softly. "What do you want for breakfast? I think the doctors will allow you to eat something other than soup this time. We can also ask Aunt Rosa to bring food for you that our chef made. You like Chef Park’s cooking."
"I’ll decide later once Yuhyun wakes up. And, Sunbae-nim..."
"Yeah?"
"Your phone kept ringing for about a minute now," Bae Wonyoung complained lightly, pointing at Yun Dujun’s phone that was on the bedside table. "Please pick it up. It seems urgent. Plus, it might wake up Yuhyun."
Oh.
Yun Dujun checked the caller ID and saw the call was from Spencer Choi.
It might be for work.
But Spencer Choi wouldn’t call, knowing full well that he was busy with his family, if it weren’t important.
Well, it better be important.
"It’s a call from Daepyonim, so it’s probably work-related," Yun Dujun said. "But do you mind if I talk on the phone here?"
Bae Wonyoung nodded. "Just don’t speak loudly, Sunbae-nim."
"Of course."
After that, Yun Dujun picked up the call.
He didn’t want to leave his husband and son, so he answered the call there instead of leaving the room.
"Yes, Daepyonim?"
Yun Dujun spoke politely because he could tell it was a work-related call.
"Are you with Wonyoung-ssi?"
"Yes, sir. Our son is here, too."
"You may want to step out of the room first. I have bad news for you, so you might harm Wonyoung-ssi with your stinky pheromones."
If Spencer Choi was so sure that the news would make Yun Dujun so mad that he would release his stinky pheromones in Bae Wonyoung’s presence, then...
It’s definitely bad news.
"Alright, sir. Wait a moment," Yun Dujun said, and then he looked at Bae Wonyoung. "Wonyoung-ah, I’ll step out for a moment. Han Myung is outside. If you need anything, just call him."
Bae Wonyoung nodded. "Okay, Sunbae-nim."
Yun Dujun then stepped out of the room, immediately looking at Han Myung who was stationed outside the room. "Han Myung, don’t let anyone in."
"Yes, sir."
"And call Aunt Rosa. Tell her to ask Chef Park to cook for Wonyoung and Yuhyun, then bring the food here."
Han Myung nodded politely. "Yes, sir."
After giving instructions to his aide, Yun Dujun went to the emergency exit to talk to Spencer Choi again.
He didn’t want to go somewhere far, so he chose that place.
"What’s the bad news, Daepyonim?"
"I heard Kim Seojun called the reporters at his place last night."
"Who’s that again?"
"The Omega being sponsored by Junsung Group— the one Wonyoung-ssi beat to get the main role for Director Kang’s upcoming drama."
"Ah, that guy. So, what does his interview have to do with us?"
"One of the reporters who was invited to that secret meeting is a spy working for me."
Right.
Spencer Choi’s network was wide because he had reporters (who were in charge for different actors and celebrities) under his payroll.
It was a normal practice for company CEOs in order to keep an eye on their competitors.
"Miss Cha said Kim Seojun told them a story about a rookie actor stealing a lead role from him, all thanks to that rookie actor’s sponsor. He didn’t flat-out name Bae Wonyoung as the ’culprit,’ but he gave a clue— the clue being "the rookie actor who went viral for his kissing scene with a famous female soloist." And Wonyoung-ssi is the only rookie actor who went viral for that! If the reporters use that description for their blind item, people would still guess that they were talking about Wonyoung-ssi."
Yun Dujun pinched the bridge of his nose.
Why couldn’t those bastards just leave his family alone?
"Wonyoung-ssi has just started receiving love calls from advertisers, directors, and PD-nims. But if that stupid article gets released, his reputation among the public will immediately plummet. He’ll lose all the offers we received so far. Worse, people will think that his viral kissing scene is just media play. You know how much the public hates celebrities who rely on sponsors, don’t you?"
Of course, Yun Dujun knew it.
He had seen several colleagues lose their acting careers after it was revealed that they were being sponsored.
"Can’t we just release an article that exposes Kim Seojun as a sugar baby? He’s the one who is being sponsored by Junsung Group. And, yet, he’s framing Bae Wonyoung’s success as being handed to him by a non-existent sponsor."
"Unfortunately, we don’t have solid proof that Kim Seojun is being sponsored by Junsung Group. It’s an open secret in the industry, but it’s hard to prove it to the public since Kim Seojun and his secret sponsor don’t leave traces of their affair. If we release a weak article accusing Kim Seojun of being a sugar baby, then we’ll only receive backlash. Kim Seojun might be a piece of trash to everyone in the industry, but he’s a beloved actor whom the general public adores for his beauty."
Ah, now Yun Dujun remembered that Kim Seojun was known as the most beautiful Omega in the industry.
Which was ridiculous.
That title belongs to Wonyoung.
"Since you’re telling me this, then I assume you can’t stop the article from getting released."
"I’m sorry. I already did everything, even offering a bribe. But the reporters won’t budge."
"The Junsung Group probably paid them more."
"I was willing to triple the offer they got, but they weren’t open to negotiations."
"Then Junsung Group might have threatened them."
"That’s what I thought, too. Trashy reporters like that follow whoever offers more money. But they shut me down immediately. So, Junsung Group probably threatened them."
"Did they say when they’ll release the article?"
"According to Reporter Cha, they won’t be releasing the article yet since the entire country is still focused on the deadly wildfires that simultaneously occurred yesterday."
Ah, something like that happened?
Yun Dujun wasn’t aware because he was busy with his family, but he wasn’t surprised because wildfires around March and April were a common occurrence in their country.
"They’ll probably release the article the day after tomorrow."
So, they only had so little time to prepare, huh?
"Daepyonim, Bae Wonyoung is only a rookie actor for now. Yes, he went viral. But the general public will still forget about his issue immediately once a bigger scandal about a bigger actor comes out."
"Right? But, instead of using an actor as a distraction, I’m thinking of exposing a politician who harassed one of our actresses—"
"Let’s reveal that I’m married, but protect Wonyoung’s identity."
"Yun Dujun, have you lost your mind?!"
"I’ll pay for whatever brand deals and contracts I’ll lose because of this ’scandal,’ so don’t worry too much."
"I’m richer than you, so why would you think I’m worried about the penalties we’ll have to pay if you get involved in a scandal? Yun Dujun, I’m more worried about you as your hyung and not just as your boss. You love acting. Are you sure you’re willing to risk your career when you’re still in your prime?"
"I do love acting, but my career isn’t more important than Bae Wonyoung and my son," Yun Dujun said. "Not anymore."
***
"PAPA, are you feeling better now?"
"Uh, yeah. I’m fine..."
"Then when are we coming home? I don’t like the hospital."
"A-Are we living together?"
Yun Yuhyun looked confused by Bae Wonyoung’s question.
And that was Yun Dujun’s turn to chime in.
"Yuhyun-ah, your papa is sick— he doesn’t remember many things because of his injury."
That was also the explanation that Yun Dujun told Bae Wonyoung to explain his husband’s messy memories.
I told him that he’s suffering from memory errors.
"It’s okay even if you forgot, Papa," Yun Yuhyun said cheerfully, smiling brightly at Bae Wonyoung. "I’ll help you remember everything!"
Bae Wonyoung looked awkward, but he still smiled at their son.
Yun Dujun was grateful to witness that scene.
It seems like the old Yun Yuhyun has truly left already.
"Sir, you can’t come in!"
Yun Dujun immediately got up from his seat when he heard a commotion outside the room. "Wonyoung-ah, Yuhyun-ah, stay here. I’ll just check—"
He stopped talking abruptly when the door suddenly burst open.
The two kids who entered the room looked familiar to him, but not the Alpha that came with the children. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
Yes, that stranger is definitely an Alpha— a strong one, at that.
Han Myung tried to stop the strange man, but Yun Dujun could tell why his bodyguard couldn’t.
"Song Sihyuk-ssi?"
Yun Dujun was talking about the (infamous) chairman of SG Group.
They are the chaebol family known for having ties to the Korean mafia.
"Ah, you must be Yun Dujun," Song Sihyuk said in an arrogant tone. "I’m here for your husband, not you."
"Then we have a problem," Yun Dujun said coldly. "You have to go through me first if you want to talk to my husband—"
"Gunwoo Hyung! Mija Noona!"
Yun Dujun’s threat was interrupted when Yun Yuhyun suddenly called the kids cheerfully, running past him to hug the older boy his son called ’Gunwoo Hyung.’
Since when did my son become chummy with a mafia— er, a chaebol’s son?
"Daddy, these are my friends!" Yun Yuhyun said excitedly. "But I don’t know who that ahjussi is!"
Pfft.
’Ahjussi.’
Well, the mafia— er, chaebol, was indeed older than Yun Dujun.
"This ahjussi is my father, Yuhyun-ah," Song Gunwoo said. "We’re here because we want to talk to your father, and Mija Noona wants to talk to Uncle Wonyoung."
Yun Dujun wanted to reject the request, but...
"You want to talk to me?" Bae Wonyoung asked Mija. "Why?"
Mija tilted her head to one side. "I’m here to help you, Wonyoung Oppa."
Yun Dujun didn’t like that.
Why is this girl calling my husband ’oppa’ as if they’re close?
***
YUN DUJUN didn’t know how it happened, but he ended up in a coffee shop right across from the hospital.
The café was empty.
The windows were shut.
The doors were closed.
Only a handful staff members were there, and everyone was actively avoiding looking in their direction.
Yeah, this definitely mafia— er, chaebol reserved the entire café.
Yun Dujun didn’t want to leave Bae Wonyoung, but his husband kicked him out because he wanted to talk to Mija.
And that was the frustrating part.
How can Wonyoung trust a stranger? Yes, Mija is a shaman. But she serves another family.
"Daddy, I’ll just play with Gunwoo Hyung!" Yun Yuhyun said excitedly. "They have a big aquarium here!"
"Alright," Yun Dujun said, nodding. "But stay where I can see you."
"Yes, Daddy!"
And then Yun Yuhyun walked towards the aquarium while holding Song Gunwoo’s hand.
"I’ll get straight to the point," Song Sihyuk said after sipping his black coffee. "Yun Dujun, I have the antidote that your children asked for."
"What antidote?" Yun Dujun asked, confused. "And my children asked for it?"
"They didn’t tell you?"
The older Yun Yuhyun didn’t tell Yun Dujun anything.
Didn’t his children play with the chaebol kids during the time Yun Yuhyun was possessed by his older self?
Then...
I can’t ask my son since he probably doesn’t remember anything anymore, so the only person I can ask about it is...
Tsk.
An Baekya.
***
WHEN Wonyoung opened his eyes, he felt like he had seen a makjang drama that lasted 100 episodes.
And then he realized that everything he had watched was his memories.
Memories of two timelines combined, to be precise.
I am Bae Wonyoung.
The Bae Wonyoung of this world, and...
And the Bae Wonyoung from the novel ’Endless.’
"How are you feeling, Oppa?" Mija, the female shaman, asked. "Do you remember who you are now?"
"Unfortunately, I remember who I am," Bae Wonyoung said, clenching his hands tight. "And I’m about to be a murderer now."
Lee Heeju, I’ll fucking kill you.

NOTE: I’m not sure if I’ve already mentioned this, but the other chabeol families mentioned here aren’t random characters.
Kim Heedo, Park Sohee, The Kim Twins, and Baby Woohee are from my ’Married for Now’ (already completed, on-going side stories).
Song Sihyuk, Song Gunwoo, and Mija are from ’Secretly Married to a Chaebol Alpha’ (red flag, be warned).
Dr. Seong Kyungmin also appeared in both novels.
You can find the stories here if you check my profile. <3
