I'll Raise My Future Omega Son-in-law-Chapter 157: THE FINAL CHANCE
YUN DUJUN clenched his jaw tight after hearing the story from Song Sihyuk.
So, apparently, Lee Heeju used his ’strange’ pheromones to control An Baekya when that bastard approached the kids in the shopping mall.
And Lee Heeju’s pheromones were strange because they were mixed with drugs.
"Drugs that can command Omegas?" Yun Dujun asked in disbelief. "I can’t believe such drugs exist..."
"They exist, but they’re sold in the underworld," Song Sihyuk said casually. By ’underworld,’ the mafia— er, the chaebol meant the black market. The black market was where the gangsters, aka the ’Korean mafia,’ did their business. "You’ll be surprised to know that there are countless drugs made to harm Omegas."
"Of course, you’d know," Yun Dujun said, scoffing. "You own the pharma that sells those illegal drugs."
It was an open secret that the SG Group owned a pharma that sold illegal substances, mostly drugs for Alphas and Omegas that the government banned.
Yes, the government knew of its existence.
But what could they do?
Arrest the chairman of SG Group?
No, the government didn’t have the power to do something like that.
The chaebols run this country, after all.
"Hey, it’s not like all the illegal drugs in this country came from my pharma," Song Sihyuk complained lightly. "In fact, I don’t sell drugs that harm Omegas— especially not the ones that hurt male Omegas."
"You don’t?"
"My wife is a male Omega, so why would I sell stuff that would hurt him? I only sell stuff that harms Alphas."
"You’re an Alpha, too."
"So what? We, Alphas, don’t deserve good things in a society that already favors us. We should all burn in hell for making this world difficult to live in for Omegas."
"Do you hate being an Alpha that much?"
"No, I just love my wife so much that I’m willing to make all Alphas in the world suffer, if it means keeping him safe. Ah, my son is also an Alpha like me, but he’s an exception. I’ll let the burn world for my wife and son."
Crazy bastard.
That was what Yun Dujun wanted to say, but he kept his mouth shut.
Because, honestly, he understood the crazy mafia— er, chaebol.
I’ll burn the world for Wonyoung and Yuhyun, too.
"Anyway, you’re lucky that my pharma has antidotes that protect Omegas from being affected by an Alpha’s pheromones," Song Sihyuk said, placing two bottles on the table. The bottles looked like perfume, with a golden liquid inside. "Your Omega can wear the antidote like perfume. It’s similar to a scent-blocker— except it blocks other people’s pheromones and not the pheromones of the wearer."
Ah, that would work.
If the antidote can block Lee Heeju’s pheromones, then he won’t be able to harm Wonyoung.
"How much do I owe you, Sihyuk-ssi?"
"I’ll feel bad if I ask money from a commoner like you."
Tsk.
Yun Dujun was far from being poor despite being an illegitimate child.
However, Song Sihyuk was a chaebol— a modern ’royalty.’
Anyone who’s not a chaebol in this country is nothing but a commoner to their eyes.
"So, you can just give me your and your husband’s autograph."
"Huh?"
"My wife is a fan of yours," Song Sihyuk explained. "And he recently became interested in Bae Wonyoung after he watched that trending music video. He said he has a feeling that Bae Wonyoung will be a huge star in the near future, so he wants to have his autograph now."
"Uh, sure. That won’t be a problem. But will that really be enough payment?"
"Yeah. Accepting money from you will make me feel like I’m shaking a middle schooler for his allowance."
"Sihyuk-ssi, you know I’m not poor, right?"
"I know that you’re the illegitimate son of Naville Corporation’s Chairman Yun."
Yun Dujun wasn’t surprised that Song Sihyuk already knew who he was.
This mafia— er, chabeol wouldn’t discuss business with me without running a background check on me first. And he’s not like the reporters who can’t access my personal files. He’s a chaebol, so he has resources that ordinary people don’t have.
"But Naville Corporation... well, it’s a cute company."
’Cute.’
That means he doesn’t think much of my father’s company.
Yun Dujun’s pride was a bit hurt.
NAVI is South Korea’s G**gle, and even foreigners who visit our country can’t navigate the streets without our NAVI Maps.
But, yeah.
Naville Corporation was still nothing compared to the SG Group.
But, at least, our company doesn’t have controversies like SG Group— they often get in trouble for evading tax and bribing government officials.
Moreover, Song Sihyuk himself had been put to prison once for tax evasion and bribery.
Heh.
Now I don’t feel bad about myself and my father’s company.
"I don’t like the smug look on your face, kid," Song Sihyuk said, but the chaebol-slash-mafia didn’t seem pissed. "Anyway, your and your husband’s autographs will be enough payment. Plus, my son is friends with your children. That’s more than enough for me to help you."
Oh, maybe he’s not as bad as I think he is.
"Thank you, Sihyuk-ssi."
"Since my son is fond of your son, I’ll give you one more gift."
"I’m afraid to be in debt with someone like you, Sihyuk-ssi."
The chaebol-slash-mafia just laughed it off while waving his hand dismissively. "My wife used to be an idol. During his active years, I got my hands on all the dirty secrets of the industry to make sure he’ll be safe. You can say that I have a wide network that involves people in showbiz."
"I’m part of that industry, though. So, I don’t think you know about it more than I do."
"True, but you’re a ’clean’ actor. You’re not involved in drugs, and you don’t have a sponsor. Well, you don’t need those things to succeed. And you’re a boring person who doesn’t even have vices. The only ’weakness’ that you have is the fact that you’re secretly married with a son."
"Please get straight to the point."
"I’m saying you don’t know the dirty side of showbiz— and I do," Song Sihyuk said, smirking. "Yun Dujun, I’m aware that the reporters are about to drop a scandalous article about your husband."
Yun Dujun flinched.
Yep, this chaebol-slash-mafia definitely has a wide network...
"Kim Seojun, that actor who was the source of that article, is being sponsored by Junsung Group."
"I already know that."
"Then do you know that Kim Seojun’s sponsor is Lee Heeju?"
Yun Dujun’s eyes widened in shock. "Lee Heeju...?"
"Now you know," Song Sihyuk said. "Your friend is a bastard who wants to ruin your husband behind your back, Yun Dujun."

WONYOUNG wanted to confront Lee Heeju as soon as he woke up.
But, unfortunately, his weakass body didn’t want to cooperate with him.
As soon as he got up, he got dizzy and ended up falling back into the bed.
"You’ve been asleep for a few days, so you can’t move yet. I only gave you a bit of strength when I woke you up, that’s why you can speak and move a little. But don’t abuse it," Mija, the girl who introduced herself as a shaman from SG Group, scolded Wonyoung. "You should rest more, Oppa."
"Why are you calling me ’oppa’ when we’ve just met?" Wonyoung asked awkwardly. "I mean, I don’t mind. But I feel like you should be calling me ’ahjussi’ and not ’oppa.’"
"You did not live long enough in the original timeline for you to be an ahjussi."
That was true.
But...
I lived a different life before I returned here, so if you combine all my ages...
Ah, whatever.
It wasn’t the right time to worry about something like that.
"The shamans of this country are really scary," Wonyoung said bluntly. "You saw the original timeline where I came from your visions?"
"Well, the deity I serve wanted to help your son. So, they showed me the things I needed to know."
"But why is my son special?"
"There are kids that are born special, whose lives are meant to strengthen the divine power of the gods lingering in this world," Mija explained. "For the family I serve, it’s Song Gunwoo. For your husband’s family, it’s Yun Yuhyun. But the shaman serving your husband’s family is neglecting her duties because of her greed. As the strongest shaman in this country at the moment, it’s my job to capture her. And that’s why I’m helping you."
"To be honest, I couldn’t care less about your mission, Mija-ya. But I’m glad that you’re here. Since my son trusts you, I’ll cooperate with you."
"Thank you, Oppa."
"Do you know how my younger cousin is doing?"
The last thing Wonyoung remembered happening in the current timeline was him trying to save Bae Gayoung.
"Your cousin fell into a coma after an ’accident,’ Oppa."
"What?!"
"She’s out of danger now, and your husband is making sure that she’s well-guarded."
That was a relief to hear.
Even so...
I’m still worried.
"The kids..."
"Both kids are fine," Mija assured him. "Yun Yuhyun went out with his father to talk to my boss."
Then that meant An Baekya wasn’t there.
Ah, An Baekya...
Wonyoung didn’t see his phone anywhere, so he had to ask: "Are there people outside?"
"Yes," Mija said, getting up. "I’ll call them for you, Oppa."

AN BAEKYA was summoned by Bae Wonyoung to the hospital.
He was glad that his foster father was already awake, but he noticed something was different.
Why does Appa look more serious than normal...?
Plus, he got even more nervous when Bae Wonyoung asked everyone to leave the room— leaving just the two of them in there.
"Appa, I’m glad that you’re already awake."
"Are you really glad that I made it alive, Baekya?"
An Baekya felt a shiver down his spine when Bae Wonyoung asked him that in a cold tone.
Ah, now he realized why his foster looked strange right now.
"Have you retrieved your old memories, Appa?"
"Yes, but we haven’t met in the original timeline. I was long gone before you and my son met," Bae Wonyoung said calmly, and yet his eyes remained distant. "I have no reason to resent you, and yet I can’t help but feel that way. I wonder why."
An Baekya flinched.
"Is it because I just realized how foolish I was to blindly trust you? You’re not a real child, after all," Bae Wonyoung said, his voice slightly bitter. "An Baekya, you lied to me. Dujun Hyung didn’t remarry, and he didn’t marry Lee Heeju after I died."
How did Bae Wonyoung know what happened after he died?
He didn’t get to finish reading the ’novel’ based on his life either, so how?
Ah, the System?
Bae Wonyoung must have met the System before he was sent back here.
Of course, I’m talking about the System that served Yun Yuhyun— not my System.
"Why did you lie to me, An Baekya?" Bae Wonyoung asked, sternly this time. "Why didn’t you tell me from the start that Lee Heeju wants me dead?"
An Baekya clenched his hands tightly.
He didn’t expect to be caught early.
But maybe it was better off this way since he couldn’t lie to Bae Wonyoung longer.
"I wasn’t really thinking of your survival, Appa," An Baekya said bluntly. Since he was already caught, he decided to finally be honest. "I’m sorry to say this, but I made choices that would benefit me and not you. I have to survive, and I want to survive with my old memories intact— even if it means you being killed by Lee Heeju again in this timeline."
An Baekya expected Bae Wonyoung to explode from anger.
However, instead of getting mad, his foster father just chuckled.
"You truly are a child despite your mental age, Baekya," Bae Wonyoung said. And then the older Omega suddenly became serious. "Let’s look for your uncle and make him your legal guardian."
Ah.
An Baekya felt a pang in his chest when the realization hit him.
I’m being kicked out of the family, huh?
