Chapter 234: Chapter 234: Hide and seek

The dragon form of the human was massive. It wasn’t wrong to call her a floating island, albeit a smaller one.

He hadn’t actually seen her fight, but it was clear that dragons were powerful entities. At least in the stories he had read, a dragon was among the most powerful existences.

Until now, a dragon was just a myth. After all, in the vast universe, there existed a myriad of species. There were angelic beings, demons, and even the undead. Humans were the most common, but a pure dragon? One hadn’t been seen in this universe.

No one knew how strong a dragon actually was in combat. Could it take down a marvel of futuristic technology like a space warship? Leo didn’t believe it was possible, but he still had a headache.

If he killed the dragon, it was his loss. After all, if the dragon didn’t return to her universe to inform the Goblin King about the safety of this place, then the goblin wasn’t going to enter.

However, if he didn’t kill the dragon, she was going to discover his massive ship as she rose higher in the sky. The only reason she hadn’t seen the ship yet was because Leo had positioned it above the clouds.

"Even if I want to kill it, what if I can’t? What if I attack it and it still manages to escape through that portal? Then I would have no choice but to give up on that goblin."

Leo felt a headache rising. Should he attack the dragon or not? Just then, he thought of an idea.

"Activate the passive cloak," he said, though there was no one but silence to hear him. "Shut down all non-essential thermal output. Also prepare to move..."

On the primary monitor, the Dragon Girl’s body was still growing. She let out a low growl as she rose in the sky, flying straight towards the clouds.

Back at the villa, the situation had turned from a rescue mission into a grotesque pile of human misery.

They still had hope for survival but when they heard the beastly cry, they felt chill run down their spine. What was happening to this world?

A young girl, pinned at the bottom of a literal heap of his friends, felt her ribs beginning to creak.

"Please..." a girl beneath cried, her voice muffled. "I can’t... breathe..."

Unfortunately, no one paid attention to her. Almost everyone that could move their head, looked at the direction where the beastly cry came from.

Not just them but also the other survivors of this world, who were in hiding, felt horrified. The ones that were in the hiding didn’t even think about going out to check, as they curled into a ball in fear.

Leo watched Dragon Girl on the screen. She was fully transformed now, a silver-scaled beast that looked like a shard of the moon fallen to earth.

She took flight, the wind pushed down by her wings uprooted any trees that had managed to survive on this cliff.

She didn’t look around, and immediately went to the clouds.

Just as she was about to cross the clouds, Leo moved the ship. The ship didn’t move much, only falling beneath the clouds just as the dragon crossed.

The dragon, now above the clouds, could roam freely. She looked at the sky above, and the space beyond. There was also a sun on this planet, but there didn’t seem to be much warmth.

Still, she didn’t care. After all, the only reason she rose above the clouds was to check if there were any floating islands or anything that could hide in the sky.

She was also worried about finding existences like her.

Once she confirmed that there was no threat in the skies, she circles around the sky, feeling the freedom and letting in the air of this world, getting accustomed to this planet’s atmosphere.

Once she felt like she had played enough, and no one came to check on her above the sky, it meant that there truly weren’t any threats that could fly, and threaten her.

Having enough certainty, she fell below the cloud. Just then, Leo activated the thrusters and the warship, still under passive stealth, rose above the clouds.

The new intruder of this planet, and Leo, were once again separated with just a thick layer of clouds in between them.

However, this time, Leo didn’t just rise alone. He brought the youngsters that were pinned to the ground, teleporting them within the ship. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶

However, he still didn’t free them. They were still pinned to the ground. Just that the group beneath them was even harder now.

The Dragon flew through the sky, but stayed beneath the clouds, observing this unfamiliar world.

Along the way, she saw some really strange and ordinary structures that looked like they were made from stones, but were still quite strange looking.

She attacked a few of them, but none managed to resist her attack, being obliterated, leaving only a crater behind.

She played around, and occasionally even found a few humans. Their appearance scared her and she immediately attacked.

To her surprise, the humans didn’t attack. They died immediately under her attack like ants.

"They are weak... Are they not like the outsiders in our world?"

She found a few more humans to test her theory and after confirming, she burst into laughter.

She couldn’t believe that her beloved Goblin King was scared of entering this world which was filled with weak insects, and was even weaker than the Divine Empire that he had crushed with a single fist.

Even her omnipotent husband was cute sometimes, being so cautious. Still, she decided to deliver him the good news, and turned around, returning to the cliff.

Her body returned to the human form as she fell off the cliff, entering the portal.

Once she returned, she found herself in a different part of the dungeon, at the same spot where Leo had first appeared.

However, she quickly made her way through the path they had taken before, reaching the room of guardian statues.

All the statues here were broken now, and there were signs of battle. However, she didn’t think much about it. After all, she was here when these statues had attacked them, and her husband shattered them.

She opened the door and stepped through, finding the corpse of a creature that had initially scared Leo. It was the creature that Leo had seen through the glass.

And now, this creature was as dead as it could possibly be, despite being the king of this dungeon.
