Chapter 233: Chapter 233: Another headache

He couldn’t believe it. Did he accidentally kill the person that deserved to be tormented the most? Wasn’t it too easy a way out for him?

Leo’s expressions kept shifting from anger, to shock, to disbelief, back to anger.

The young man didn’t want to be the bearer of bad news, knowing how badly Leo wanted to kill that person.

The other two also remained silent, just wanting at the young man who was like the leader of the group.

"I... I am sorry..." The young man suddenly said. "I was scared and attacked you. We didn’t know that you were..."

"Strong enough to survive?" Leo completed the young man’s sentence, albeit using different words than the ones that were going to be used.

Leo stepped towards the young man, who was clearly the leader and knew the most information out of all of them.

However, just as he was about to do something, he suddenly stopped and looked towards the sky.

His communicator was beeping, but it wasn’t because he was getting a call or message. It was the alert from the ship that he had set.

There was only one that it could mean! Someone had appeared on the cliff! Who was it? The Goblin that he was waiting for? Leo wasn’t certain. He really wanted to know!

He was in such a hurry that he didn’t even have the time to care about his so-called hostages. In any case, they weren’t going anywhere.

He increased the gravity even more so that they didn’t move even an inch, even if the goddess of war gave them strength.

He placed the gravity controller far away from them, while also increasing the range.

Only after ensuring that these people were going to stay here, suffering under gravity until he returned, did he leave.

Watching Leo disappear from their eyes, the young man grew pale faced.

His face was already covered with sweat under the gravity, even though he was lying on the snow.

He didn’t even have time to catch his breath, but his expressions still twisted as he saw the young man disappear.

At first, he was shocked that Leo couldn’t be killed. He thought that he could toss him in that strange portal from where no one returned, but the man still appeared behind them after half a year, like a ghost.

That was unbelievable, yet they could come to terms with it. But to see them disappear right before their eyes, it was clear.

The man was filled with horror as he said a single word, "God..."

He had a feeling that he had really messed up this time. Was he going to survive this time? He wasn’t sure. If he wanted to survive, he could only escape this place and hope that Leo wasn’t going to find him.

The problem was that he couldn’t even move an inch. He had to grab the strange metal disk that Leo had left behind, believing that it was the key to this strange force.

Unfortunately, there was one big problem. It was too far away. If it was a few inches away, he might have pushed his body, even if his bones broke, to grab that thing.

However, at the current distance, it was like a forbidden fruit that he could only watch, but not touch.

He yelled with all his might, calling for the people inside the villa. After all, there weren’t just four of them. More were inside.

After seeing their friend being shot, most of the people inside the villa had hidden themselves, worried that they were also going to be killed.

It was only after they were called out that they peeked through the window and watched that there appeared to be no danger.

The young man who led the group, saw them and screamed, "Take that strange metal thing! It is the key to freeing us!"

He ordered all of them to get him that metal disk, and the youngsters, believing that it was some strange magic device that was holding their friends down, thought about helping.

After all, neither them, nor the young leader of the group knew that the gravity didn’t just affect people that were targeted individually. Instead, it affected the area.

The youngsters that might have survived if they had stayed inside the villa, rushed out to help. Not a single one was left behind as they wanted to free their friends and get as far away from this villa before that scary villain returned.

Unfortunately, their bodies froze as soon as they stepped out. They were like flies, stuck in a trap.

One after another, they fell on the ground, flattened like their friends had been. As many of them were so close, they even fell on each other, making it hurt even more.

Not a single one of them was able to reach the risk, just as Leo had expected.

After all, the villa had only one exit. He had placed this disk a few meters away from the exit just to ensure that no one within the villa ran away before he was back.

Even Leo hadn’t expected them to be so foolish they would rush out, looking for pain to keep their friends company.

Even if Leo had known, he would have simply laughed at them, finding it amusing. At least it would’ve helped his anger a little.

Unfortunately, he was in no mood to pay attention to these people. His eyes were stuck to the screen which was focused on the strange cliff near the otherworldly portal.

Just as the system had warned, someone indeed appeared here. However, it wasn’t the Goblin King.

Instead, it was the Dragon Girl who had appeared on the cliff. She was cautiously looking around, as if trying to see if this place was safe.

"Is she acting as a vanguard this time? In that case, if she didn’t return, I’m certain that the goblin wouldn’t show himself in this world."

Leo wasn’t wrong either. The Goblin had indeed sent the dragon ahead to check if the place was safe. After all, his system couldn’t simulate what happened in the other world from beyond the portal.

For that, he had to be in the same timeline and same universe at least.

The girl checked her surroundings, and didn’t find anything strange. However, she wasn’t satisfied, and decided to check a wider area.

Just then, she jumped in the air and her body started getting bigger. She was going to roam this world and ensure that there was indeed no danger here.

This was also what gave Leo a massive headache. After all, he had a massive ship floating in the sky.
