I'm Trying To Go Broke, So Why Do I Keep Getting Richer?!-Chapter 237: Skivv
A beautiful majestic mountain existed at the place. But now, there was nothing more than a massive crater, even deeper than the ones on the moon.
It was as if the entire mountain had been obliterated. The only thing that appeared to be unharmed was the portal connecting to the other world.
From within the ship, Leo was observing the crater. Just as he had expected, an attack of this calibre was truly the best option.
Unfortunately, to his surprise, something else had managed to survive. A hand came out of the ground, and soon a person crawled out, having been buried in the group by this attack.
A scorched body of a creature whose skin was burned, at a place even showing bare bones, could be seen on the crater.
His condition looked to be even worse than Leo’s had been in the dungeon. It was none other than the Goblin King who was dragging his pathetic body towards the portal, horrified.
He still didn’t understand why it was happening. For as long as he remembered, nothing had happened that didn’t play according to his simulation. But now... It was already the second time that something unexpected had happened.
He had lived for hundreds of years in this world as per his simulation. He wasn’t attacked even once. So why? Why was he attacked in reality?
In a world where no thread was supposed to exist, where did this frightening attack come from?
If he had known, he could have at least protected himself. He had many means to protect himself from such attacks if he had enough time.
Unfortunately, he wasn’t given any time. The attack came so fast that the Dragon Queen didn’t even have time to transform.
He didn’t know if any of his women had survived, and he didn’t care either. All he cared about was protecting his own life. He just wanted to get the hell out of this place.
Only after safely getting out of this place could he survive and think about what might have gone wrong.
As he dragged his body towards the portal, a few tens of meters felt like a really long distance.
As he managed to cover half the distance, he suddenly felt something.
He raised his head towards the sky and saw a majestic battleship that made his eyes widen.
Was that... a real space ship? Wasn’t this planet supposed to be a low tier planet that didn’t have any such things? Where did this thing come from?
If he had known about this and prepared in advance, he could have taken that ship down, and then gained control of it. But now, it was too late.
His face had already grown pale as he tried to leave, increasing his pace.
Before long, his body was only three meters away from the portal entrance. He finally saw the hope for survival, especially since the attack like that second sun didn’t take place.
"I will definitely come back when I’m prepared. And then, I don’t care who you are, but you will pay!" he said with clenched teeth.
Just then, his feet stopped. He even took a few steps back in disbelief. A human figure had materialized before him, at a distance of a few steps.
The newly arrived guest was standing right before the portal, becoming an obstruction between him and his escape.
"You... Who are you?" the young goblin asked, his skin slowly starting to heal itself. However, even with his species advantage, it was still a slow process.
He suddenly looked at the sky and then shifted his attention back towards the human before him. He suddenly thought of something.
The person before him, matched the description of the person that his women were chasing after. It wasn’t wrong to say that this chase was what brought them to this world.
"It was a trap!" He gulped heavily, thinking about it.
It was too much to be a coincidence. It appeared more like Leo had intentionally made them chase him, trying to bring them to his homeland where he had an advantage.
The only thing he didn’t understand was why...? Why couldn’t he see this human’s glimpse in his simulation? Why was this human able to achieve this? And what did he even want with them?
The young man appeared to be the owner of that massive ship. It didn’t make sense for him to go so far as to kill a few demihumans.
After all, even he knew that his world was a demihuman utopia, but for humans, it was no less than a backwards prison. For someone from the modern era, why would he crave such a place?
"What is your name?" Leo suddenly asked, opening his eyes.
Meanwhile, the goblin who was still wondering if he should attack that young human, came out of his daze.
He subconsciously answered, "I am Skivv. What do you want from me? Why would you go this far?"
The atmosphere had suddenly become so tense between them.
"Skivv, huh. Are you someone who reincarnated as a Goblin?" Leo asked, barely showing any fluctuations in his emotions as he asked.
He had already guessed a few things. All he needed was a confirmation. After all, no matter how impossible this sounded, he had already seen a few things that made even less sense.
"You..." The young goblin’s expressions darkened. How did this person know about his rebirth? It was a secret that he had always kept deep in his heart.
Even though he mentioned his system a few times, that was because no one else could understand it. But his rebirth, he had never once mentioned.
"Who are you?!" His gaze became even more suspicious as he took another step back.
At this point, he became even more certain. This entire trap wasn’t because someone craved his demihuman empire, or his women. The main target was none other than him!
At this point, the goblin felt like he was completely naked, all his secrets being seen by the other person.
