In Another World, All Milfs Will Be Mine-Chapter 147: [ - - ] - My pride is bruised
Back in Seraphine’s chamber,
That little scare from Leo managed to send Volkov running away with his "elite" pack of soldiers.
And that little standoff in the Audience Hall had bought them time, but Volkov wasn’t going to give in easy.
That woman back home will chew him alive if he did not manage to get the Lordship for her brother.
And because of that woman Baron Volkov might have left with his tail between his legs, but he hadn’t left Auravale just yet.
As the night grew darker, Leo sat in front of the fireplace with a sword in front of him on the table.
This was going to be a long sleepless night.
Seraphine sat in front of him by his legs, staring at his face, and belladonna stood behind him her fingers working her magic on his shoulder. She has already slipped out of those tight leather outfit of hers and was wearing a red night gown, freeing her big breasts out of whole days constraints.
"You should sleep, Leo," Seraphine said softly looking at Leo with concern. She had changed into a simple nightgown, but she wore a dagger strapped to her thigh.
"If I sleep, I might not wake up," Leo muttered, rubbing his temples, "I don’t think Volkov is going to give up so easily."
"He is going to try something today."
"It is now or never for him."
"He saw a blade at his throat," Belladonna countered, stepping out in front of him. She had dual daggers sheathed to her hips, "You scared the shit out of him, Master!"
"If he is smart, he won’t even think about it."
"I scared him for now," Leo corrected, "But fear fades. Ambition doesn’t."
He looked at the big clock above the fireplace.
There were still about 19 hours left.
Was it "only 19 hours", or "19 HOURS"? Well, only night would tell.
But before the night could engulf that question in its darkness...
CLANG!
A dull sound of a sword dropping in the hallway rang in their ears.
Leo stayed still in his chair but the frown on his face deepened.
Even if he were to reach out for the sword in front of him, there was absolutely nothing he could help the ladies with.
"They are here," Belladonna grinned ear to ear. She wasn’t worried one but. In fact, she was delighted.
She has yet to show off her strength in front of Leo.
She didn’t get to do it when they met.
Then in the monster raid she did not want to get her clothes dirty with their blood.
But now she finally had the chance. She just hopes they wouldn’t disappoint her.
"How many?" Seraphine asked, drawing her own dagger.
"Doesn’t matter," Belladonna said. She turned to Seraphine, "Stay here. Guard the door. That little girl is probably already engaging with them. I will handle the rest."
"As a man, I wouldn’t want my women to fight for me," Leo grinned as he traced his warm finger along her jawline, "But as your lower who makes your nights..."
But before Leo could deliver his heart fluttering punchline that would sweep his ladies off their feet, the heavy oak doors burst open with a bang.
Three men in dark grey cloaks, with their faces covered spilled into the room.
They moved like fluid, very much not like the assassins Leo disposed off during the banquet.
And though Leo had no way to prove it, but these guys looked stronger than that bunch.
Meanwhile the three men when located their target and saw him with a couple of beautiful, harmless girls, they did not waste time rejoicing their luck. They got into action straight away.
The first assassin lunged straight for Leo, with a short sword in his hand gleaming with a green coating of poison.
Leo tried to dodge. His brain sent the signal, side step left, get down, uppercut, punch in the jaw, kick in the balls.
But his body was a glitching mess. The connection was so slow and in front of the assassin’s speed, he was lagging.
And before his leg could even raise, the blade was inches from his chest.
CLANG!
A spark of steel lit up the room. But Leo was unharmed thanks to his overly powered woman.
Belladonna was standing beside Leo, with her dagger drawn that had the incoming attack from the assassin midway.
And before the assassin could pull away she moved like a flash, barely visible to Leo.
With her left hand, she drove her second dagger straight through the assassin’s throat.
GLECHH!
The man had his eyes roll back in his sockets as his hand slowly moved to grab the dagger planted in his throat.
But Belladonna didn’t have the time to slowly watch him die. She kicked the corpse backward into the second man, disrupting his charge.
"You dare touch my man? None of you will leave here alive," She looked at the two men left, her eyes burning with murderous rahe.
Even from the hallway, the sound of fighting erupted. It was most likely Shadow holding back the pack.
"Leo, get back!" Seraphine grabbed his arm, pulling him behind the heavy oak desk.
"I can fight!" Leo snarled, putting on a show in front of his women. He could never let them think he was weak.
"Yes! Yes! You can!" Seraphine tried to calm him.
"But not right now," Seraphine said, "Let us take care of this for you. You have done so much for us. Now let us..."
Meanwhile, the second assassin shoved the dead one aside and leaped over the sofa.
He was smart. He knew he couldn’t take on the woman who just killed his comrade. So he ignored her and focused entirely on the bounty.
With a flick of his wrist, he threw a throwing knife at Leo.
The knife tore through the air and Leo barely managed to duck as the knife buried itself in the high backed chair behind him.
"You missed," Leo grinned, taunting the assassin.
"Did I?" But all he got in return was an amused chuckle from the man.
"Leo watch out!" Before Leo could understand, Seraphine grabbed his arm and pulled him towards her. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶
She yanked him so hard that the force sent the two of them rolling away.
BOOM!
And the next second the hilt of the blade exploded with a bang and thousands of needles shot outward in a deadly, radial burst.
The air filled with what felt like the sound of a thousand angry hornets as the sliver needles peppered the walls, the floorboards, and the very spot where Leo had been standing a heartbeat before.
Leo lay pressed against the cold floor, with Seraphine on top of him, shielding him.
Finally after a few breathes, there was silence, except for the ringing buzz in his ears.
"You are gaining weight," Leo teased Seraphine, trying to mask the the fact he was so close to being turned into a pincushion.
"And you’re welcome," Seraphine grinned back and leaned in to peck his lips.
"Tsk!" The assasin snarled, and was about to charge at Leo. But Belladonna wouldn’t give him a second chance.
She grabbed a heavy silver candelabra from the table and hurled it. It spun through the air, smashing into the assassin’s face with a sickening crunch of breaking bone. He staggered, blinded by blood and wax.
And before he could even get his footing, Belladonna was on him in a heartbeat. She leaped onto his back, wrapping her legs around his waist like a spider. She grabbed his chin and the back of his head.
CRACK!
She twisted his neck with a sickening crunch and the assassin dropped like a sack of potatoes.
"Two down," Belladonna said, landing lightly on her feet. She wasn’t even breathing hard.
She looked at Leo, her eyes shining with adrenaline, "Are you hurt?"
"Well, except for my pride that’s bruised" Leo muttered, "I am fine."
