Infinite Skin System: Starting as An Eldritch Knight-Chapter 47: Extracted Corruption
The woman was very strong. Much stronger than Carter thought. She threw him over the shoulder.
Carted spun in mid-air and landed his feet on the wall. He used the wall as a platform and pushed down, pinning the woman down on the ground.
Carter grabbed her mask and pulled it away. Her hair fell down and her face was revealed. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
"Oh? What a pretty girl like you doing in the quarantined zone?"
She had grey hair. Like a wolf. And her skin was spotless.
The woman kicked him off.
Carter stumbled backwards and quickly regained his balance.
"I should ask the same of you. Who are you? What are you doing in Abe’s Infirmary?"
"Where are my manners?"
Carter took off his hat and bowed slightly.
"Vladimir Wampyr. The third of his name. Prince of Transylvania. Count... Dracula."

"Prince? I thought all the princes were dead." The woman said.
"I outlived them, fortunately."
The grey-haired woman glanced at the hidden compartment inside the wall. Carter stepped forward to block it.
"We don’t know each other. Let me get what I’m here for and we can go our separate ways." The woman said.
"I don’t think so." Carter said.
"Why?" The woman snarled. Her voice growled like a beast.
"Because I like you. You smell... good."
The woman’s entire body shivered. "Pervert!"
Carter smiled. In many iterations, Dracula was a charmer. In many more, he was a monster. Carter wanted to become the ultimate vampire that encompassed all of those aspects.
He was just trying to raise Dracula’s Synchronization.
The woman pulled out a long knife. She dashed at him.
Carter smiled. He snapped his finger.
The woman plunged the knife to the open air at Carter’s side. Her body suddenly moved on its own.
It was one of the tricks belonging to Blood Manipulation. He could make blood explode, halt it, and even caused a massive shift to control the body partially.
He couldn’t perfectly control someone. But making them miss their target was easy.
The woman didn’t give up. She continued to attack him. Each thrust was met with a snap that caused her body to move.
Then, she managed to ignore the blood movement in her veins and thrusted at Carter.
He caught her wrist, spun her around, and sniffed her neck.
"So sweet. Like a little wild flower." Carter said.
The woman growled louder. She tried to elbow him in the stomach. He let her then caught her other hand.
Carter successfully held her and prevented her from moving further.
The woman struggled but she couldn’t escape.
"I wonder what you taste like." Carter blew air in her ear.
"You bastard! Release me now or there will be consequences!"
This woman was no ordinary human. She was an Awaken. Carter could feel her blood energizing. She was about to use her power.
"There will be consequences. That’s for sure."
Carter opened his mouth. His fangs appeared as he bit into her neck.
The woman tensed up. Her head leaned back and she opened her mouth wide. A tingling sensation washed over her body. Her muscles tensed up and became like stone. She felt the pain on the neck.
A sweet, alluring pain that made her gasp for air.
Her energy failed to activate and calmed down.
"No... Please..." She moaned helplessly.
Carter bit down harder and drank further. He knew why she smelled so good. Her blood was extra savory and nutritious. It felt like a hundred boars fused into one.
The woman’s eyelids fluttered. And she fainted.
Carter released and placed her gently on the ground.
"Sleep well, Grey. We will see each other soon."
Carter then turned to the hidden compartment.
’Let me see what you’re hiding.’
The pale man pulled the compartment out. Inside was a glass vial of purple liquid.
"What is this?"
Carter pulled the lid off. An acrid smell flooded his sensitive nose.
"Ugh!" He put the lid back on immediately.
’Just the perfect item for the Apothecary to analyze.’
[SHADOW APOTHECARY EQUIPPED]
The pale man disappeared and the skinny doctor returned. Carter put the glass vial into his Brewer’s Chest.
[x1 Extracted Corruption is added to Brewer’s Chest]
’Extracted Corruption? Another Corruption related item.’
He turned toward the woman and saw that her neck was bleeding slowly.
’Hmmm. Dracula’s Vampire Bite is not perfect. It doesn’t close up the wound of the victim.’
Carter sat down and opened his Medical Bag. He stripped the woman’s shirt and began to bandage her.
Time passed and morning arrived.
The grey-haired woman woke up. Her eyes shot open and she sat up immediately.
She was still in the infirmary. Not the dirty downstairs but in one of the clean rooms on the upper floor.
She felt the cool air on her body. Instinctively, she covered her chest.
"That man... He?!" For a second, she thought that she was defiled.
But that wasn’t the case. Her inner shirt was still there and there was no discomfort on her body. White bandages covered her neck.
The woman touched the wound. It still sting even now.
"You’re awake?" Carter entered the room holding a water bowl in his hand.
He placed it and a clean cloth on the table.
"Who are you?!" The woman pulled the blanket over.
"Doctor Emmanuel Hugo at your service. I found you lying on the floor last night. I patched you up." Carter smiled gently.
He had a kind, soft smile that instantly made her feel at ease.
"Oh... Thank you so much."
"No problem. It is my job. Clean yourself up. I’ll prepare something to eat. It will help with your wound."
The woman nodded.
Carter left the room. He kept contact with the woman to learn more about her. Unfortunately, in a world without technology, he couldn’t use System Ghost to gather information last in Terrorstate.
He had to do it the usual way. By asking people.
While preparing breakfast, Carter checked his current Skin Shards.
[Total Skin Shards]
- Awaken Terror Shards (8 Minor, 9 Medium, 4 Major)
- Awaken Undead Shards (21 Minor, 7 Medium)
- Mortal Cyber Slave Shards (2 Minor)
- Mortal Human Shards (13 Minor, 17 Medium, 159 Major)
Because of his long list of shards, the Skin System rearranged it to be more compacted.
’Huh. All night and I didn’t even get enough to make a Medium Undead. Either way... Let me see what an Undead Skin looks like.’
