Until this moment, despite knowing that there was a great possibility that someone from the Santos family was involved with the death of his parents, Michael had no intention of changing his surname.

This was the name that he had been given by his father, hence, Michael had no any intention changing it.

Still, if there was going to be a big conflict with the Santos family, then he might just as well destroy the existing Santos family, and create another one.

That would be able to solve quite a number of problems.

On the other hand, upon receiving Michael’s confirmation, Marion was both excited and shocked. She had already anticipated such a possibility, but she found it too unbelievable.

After all, what was the possibility of something like this happening? When she was in danger, she just had to encounter the son of her long lost aunt, who ended up saving her.

And for a moment, she was not sure how to express her emotions at the moment. She was both excited and curious about Michael’s origin.

She thought about her aunt, and the memories that she had shared with her when she was still young. How was she doing now?

Though, there was another question that bothered her, that was, how did Michael become this so-called mutant?

This word was not new to her as she had heard of it on several occasions. But most of them were maybe a mutated animal due to some scientists mixing different types of genes of different animals or even for the plants.

As for humans who were mutants, that was something that she had only heard of in science fiction movies. So, it was a great surprise and shock to her to realize that mutants actually existed in real life.

Everything that Michael had demonstrated was way beyond what was expected of a human. And, from the way that the other guy, the leader of the group who had been dealt with by Michael had said, it was clear that there were other mutants out there.

Michael on the other hand did not pay much attention to Marion’s reaction. Instead, he just tried to call him his emotions down, before he decided that it was time to depart.

He could already hear the sound of a car’s engine approaching, and looking over, he realized that it was the car that he had just bought.

Most probably, the system had the car appear somewhere around here, where there was nobody or surveillance. It was no wonder that it was able to get here so fast.

"I am leaving. If you want, you can come with me. If you have other plans, you can proceed with them." Michael stated as he began walking towards the Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet that had just come to a stop.

The moment that the car stopped, the driver’s door swung open, before a young man with short green hair and brown eyes, seemingly in his mid-20s, got out. When he saw Michael, he greeted, "Master, the car has been delivered. Should I drive you back, or would you like to drive on your own?"

"Let’s go back. I will make arrangements for you later on." Michael responded as he opened the passenger’s door, before he got inside the car.

On the other hand, Marion was momentarily startled by Michael’s reaction. For a moment, she was confused, and was only able to react when Michael had already gotten inside the car.

Feeling panicked, she quickly followed, opening the back door of the car and quickly got inside, afraid that she would be left behind. 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢

Even though there was someone here cleaning the scene, she was afraid of staying here. Nobody could tell if the others that were together with this group that had followed her would come as well.

While she might not be exactly sure how many people had been sent, she understood just how cautious and determined the Laito family was. So, the group of five that had been dealt with by Michael, might just be one of those that had been sent.

Michael did not say anything when he noticed that Marion had gotten inside the car. It seemed that she planned to follow him.

As for the current predicament that the Wilson family was facing, Michael had no intention of taking action, at least for now. He would have to do his own investigation first, to be sure about what to do next.

If it turned out that the Wilson family had caused his mother a problem or anything of the sort, Michael would not bother with them at all.

So, he decided to go back to the villa fast. He could just have asked Onyx to do the investigation, but he thought that there was no need for that.

His time out had already been ruined by that group of five. So, there was no need for him to continue staying out anymore, lest he ended up being dragged into another drama.

"You are telling me that you allowed him to leave without letting me know? What did I tell you last time?" An angry voice echoed inside I’m almost empty study room.

The study was well lit, with a shelf behind a desk, even though the shelf itself was empty. As for the desk, it only had a laptop on top of it.

And at the moment, sitting behind the desk was a man with black hair and blue eyes. Just by sitting there, he looked intimidating, especially in his anger.

Standing in front of him was a man with a bald head, green eyes and a muscular frame. At the moment, this man’s expression was indifferent, as though he was oblivious to the man’s anger.

"Boss, you had already assigned me another task. It was not possible for me to be able to do that while keeping an eye on the young master." The man responded calmly.

Newton, the man sitting behind the desk, was even more infuriated upon hearing those words. That was especially looking at that calm expression on Bob’s face.

This guy called Bob was Newton’s trusted aide. Considering how big the syndicate was, it was inevitable that Newton would have to assign some tasks to those that he trusted.

Most of the things that he assigned to Bob were well completed. Additionally, the two of them had known each other for over 20 years now.

This was exactly why he trusted Bob so much. It was just that, there was one thing that Newton did not like about Bob. That was the fact that, he was always indifferent, as though he did not care about Newton’s position at all.

Even though the two of them were friends, at the moment, they were in the superior subordinate relationship. So, Newton really hoped to see some respect from Bob.

But apart from Bob following the orders that he was given, he never should flattery. If not for the fact that Bob was extremely efficient at completing the tasks given, Newton would have already replaced him.

"I know that I assigned you a task to complete recently. After all, things have been getting a little more chaotic with the Blood reapers syndicate chaos now and then. But, even if you were busy, could you not have assigned someone else to keep watch?" Newton was not convinced as he asked.

"Boss, you assigned Chris to be in charge of ensuring the young master’s security. And with his skills, apart from me, there is no any other person that can be given the task of dealing with the young master.

So, if he decides to leave, and Chris aids him, it is impossible for anyone to be able to stop him." Bob responded.

Newton’s anger intensified at this point, with his face turning red. He had assigned Chris to protect his son, as he was afraid that his son might be targeted by his enemies.

Unexpectedly, Chris had somehow been won over by Henry, making it so that sometimes, Chris would even lie to him. If not for the fact that Chris was skilled, and was ensuring Henry’s safety, Newton would have also replaced him!

And now, being reminded by Bob, his anger intensified even more, especially when he thought about the reason why he had instructed Bob to keep an eye on Henry.

Recently, he had realized that Henry seemed to be investigating about someone. And when he knew who it was that Henry was investigating about, he realized that it was someone called Michael Santos.

This person’s information was almost impossible to be able to get, despite the connections that Newton had. He was only able to get the basic information on him, but Newton had a lingering feeling that this was going to be troublesome.

This was exactly why he instructed Bob to keep an eye on Henry, to make sure that Henry did not leave the city. Unexpectedly, the kid had already gone, and nobody knew where exactly he had gone to.

If it really was as Newton feared, then things would get out of hand, especially with the old man. After all, that incident was something that had affected the old man greatly. If he came to realize that something even major was hidden, how would he even react?

Just thinking about this, Newton could not help but flinch slightly. Immediately, he instructed, "I don’t care what means you use, make sure that you bring him back as soon as possible. Don’t allow him to make contact with anyone!"

Bob nodded, but just as he was about to leave the study, the door of the study was suddenly opened from the outside.

At the same time, a voice reached the ears of the two inside, "There is no need to go out and look. I’m already here."
