"Nothing really, just cooperate with everything on your side, I will take care of everything else. As for if there is something that you should know, you will definitely know in a while." Michael responded to Kate’s question.

Kate was silent for a moment, as she understood that something major had happened, or was going to happen.

Despite being worried about things going wrong, she decided to trust Michael. Since he had said that everything would be okay, then there was no problem.

The two of them then went ahead and began chatting, with Kate telling Michael about what had happened during the time that they had not been in contact.

She also mentioned that she had gotten into a conflict with someone, something that Michael already knew. After all, everything that was happening in the training camp was told to him by the bio human that he had assigned to take care of Kate.

But even then, despite knowing about the conflict between Kate and that Evan guy, he did not try to intervene. He believed that something as simple as that would not be much of a problem for Kate to be able to deal with.

And if things escalated, the bio human would be involved, solving the problem. As for if Evan’s brother would also be involved in this matter, that was something that Michael did not bother with.

If that guy was involved, and he ended up targeting Kate, he would have to be ready to face the consequences of doing that.

It took them quite a while to finish talking, as it seemed that Kate was quite bottled up at the training camp. And after they finished chatting, Kate promised that she would call the following day as well.

On the other hand, after finishing the call, Michael decided to make arrangements for the clone. So, he entered the system store, before he purchased another laptop.

After that, he instructed Onyx to transfer all the documents that he had not yet read into the laptop, before handing over the laptop to the clone.

While the clone was busy with reading, Michael on the other hand decided to deal with the issue regarding Kate.

Since she was going to undergo serum injection very soon, he thought, he had to make early preparations. So, he decided to contact the bio human, so that they could find a way of having the serums sent over.

The intention that Michael had was that, during the time that the serum injection would be taking place, the one that was supposed to be injected into Kate would be switched with the one that he would have bought from the system store.

While the training camp was a secret area, where only the members of Nexus knew of where it was, it was not much of a problem for Michael to be able to find out.

So, he made arrangements for the two serums that he had bought from the system store to be sent over. One of them was the rapid adaptation serum, while the other one was sensory distortion.

This ability, the sensory distortion, it would allow the owner of this ability to be able to distort the senses of the target. Simply put, it could easily make someone do what the other wanted, without them knowing.

Or, it could deceive them, making them believe that they were doing what they intended to do, yet they might be doing something else totally.

The serum for this ability was priced at 92 SP in the system store. It was a little expensive as compared to rapid adaptation, which was priced at 78 SP.

After completing the purchase, Michael went ahead and had the two serums delivered where they needed. As for what would happen next, it was no longer something that he needed to get himself involved in.

With that finally out of the way, Michael decided to relax, while trying to see what kind of changes were happening in his body, or how the body was adapting to the serum that he had just taken.

While the serum had already taken effect, allowing him to be able to possess an ability, which was already functioning as he wanted, he wanted to see if he could learn something through the changes happening in his body.

That was mostly because he wanted to find a way that he could use to speed up the process. The earlier his body adapted to these changes, the earlier he would be able to obtain more abilities.

But, just as Michael got to the living room, preparing to lie down on the couch, the ringing of the doorbell made his brows arch slightly.

Could it be that someone else was here again? He just hoped that it was not another idiot who came here, believing that they had everything under their control.

At this point, Adrian had already left. So, it was Marion who went ahead to open the door, to see who was coming over.

And when she saw the person, her expression shifted. Why was it that people were coming to see Michael one after the other, and each one of them, she was familiar with them?

She was not sure if these people had been coming over before, but definitely, those two who had come before, it was their first time here.

Despite not understanding why these people came to see Michael, she said nothing as she allowed the person who had come inside.

Michael looked over, seeing that the person who had come this time was someone that he was familiar with. It was just that, this familiarity was not out of good, but was one filled with hatred.

This person was linked to the guy who had hired the members of the shadow assembly gang, Aiden, and in the end, both of his parents died, with the claims that they died during a bank heist.

That person, although he was acting secretly, it was not much of a problem for Michael to be able to find out that he was related to the silent order syndicate.

He was mostly in charge of the shady transactions of the silent order syndicate. And the one who was directly above him was the third in command of the silent order syndicate, Newton’s man, Bob, who was also the person who had just arrived at Michael’s residence.

Most probably, this guy was the one who had instructed Aiden to do that. Otherwise, it would be impossible for that guy to suddenly target a member of the Santos family on his own accord.

At least, until now, from the investigation carried out through Onyx and other methods, it was clear that that guy was not someone who had conflicts with the Santos family.

Despite the anger that suddenly appeared in his heart, together with the yearning for revenge, Michael did not act on it.

He was able to control himself, to the extent that nobody was able to notice the slight changes within him.

Currently, he was not sure why this guy came over. So, he said that to wait and see what this guy had to say. If he was here to speak nonsense, he would also be dispatched just like Brian and Nathan.

"Young master Michael, I was sent over because of something. I was asked to ask if you can leave this nation, or maybe hide somewhere for a while. Is that possible?" The man asked in an almost indifferent voice.

Those words left Michael frowning, as he realized that Nathan seemed to have said something about this. It was just that, Nathan seemed to have exaggerated things, trying to bring enmity between Michael and the Santos family, not knowing that there was enmity existing already.

But what left him puzzled was why the Santos family did not want him around? It was clear from the attitude displayed by this guy that they did not have the intention of killing him.

Instead, they just wanted him to leave, something that he could not understand. Could it be possible that there was something that they were hiding? 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚

But then again, he said he thought of another possibility. Could it be that Newton thought that with Michael being here, everything that he had done might be revealed?

If that was the case, then he must be dreaming. No matter what, Michael would go to the capital, and he would definitely deal with Newton.

"What is the reason behind this? If you don’t give me a good reason, then you better roll out of here." Michael said with squinted eyes.

"Unfortunately, I cannot reveal the reason behind why I have to ask you to leave. But no matter what you need, we are willing to give, as long as you agree to leave the country.

It would be better for you to go to a nation that nobody can find you, at least those that know you. The far away you are from here, the better it is.
