Isekaied Into An Eroge, Time To Have Fun!-Chapter 171: Some More Smashing

It was already becoming a nice little haul of goodies since we had a few pouches filled with these shards of Fire Crystals, all of which were warm to the touch and hopefully worth a good chunk of coin.

Even if they weren’t I was going to be able to somewhat repay my debt to Professor Jezebyra already and I was hopefully going to have some more goodies to harvest to further line our pockets with the excess profits.

This wasn’t even including the rare ingredients and materials that I was hoping we were going to find in this hidden area, which wasn’t that far away as of now; we just needed to get through some more monsters and a couple of caves and then we would be there... and we would need to use those special potions I had asked for.

I barely had time to react when another Crystal Goblin shuffled over, but it wasn’t a problem whatsoever as Lu’Shaki just smashed it to pieces with a single swing of her hammer, giving me the time I needed to just... admire everything about her.

There wasn’t a thought in my mind about the monster being shattered to pieces as I instead just looked at Lu’Shaki, but after a moment I pushed it away and looked around for any additional threats, wanting to be of some use to my partner.

Harvesting what we needed and then getting back onto the move, we made our way through this cave before ending up in one hell of an area; there was a large battle going on between five adventurers and this giant crystal construct that was making use of devastating magic attacks.

"I’m guessing we’re avoiding that..?"

I nodded and guided the Orc away from the towering hulk of crystal that was spraying violet flames over the well armored and cohesive adventurers, leaving them to battle that monster on their own as we pursued our own goals.

Part of me felt bad for not at least throwing a few spells towards the monster to potentially chip away at some of its health, but at the same time that was something that could have potentially interfered with whatever plan they had and caused more damage to them then to the monster.

So we just crept on past and entered yet another one of the many Crystal Caves, finding ourselves not that far from the objective and also finding ourselves right in front of a small gathering of Crystal Goblins that were guarding a gorgeous amethystine serpent which was coiled around a pulsing red stalagmite.

"Are we avoiding this though..? That’s a Lightning Crystal Serpent, and I can’t even begin to imagine how valuable it is... though it is also a little dangerous, especially for just the two of us."

"I... we could give it a try? We would need to get the Crystal Goblins taken care of immediately, and if I recall correctly the Crystal Serpents aren’t as hard as the other monsters, but they are much faster... and they have incredible bite strength..."

"So smack the Crystal Goblins and work together to trap the Crystal Serpent before smacking it a few times too? Sounds like a good plan to me!"

The immediate proposition for a very simple ’plan’ made me chuckle, and while I was certainly wanting to just be overly cautious and just keep sneaking around so that I could minimize the risk I was going to be taking the idea of making a whole lot of money was definitely appealing.

Plus this would be a good way to get even more experience with fighting since up to this point everything I fought and killed had all been killed in a handful of attacks, so I wasn’t really challenged at all... and I hadn’t sparred anyone seriously yet either...

Taking another second or so to weigh the options, I eventually sighed and gave the Orc a nod before signaling for her to wait just another moment, since there was a way I could make this easier on us both.

Since we were taking on the Crystal Serpent and its weaker ’guardians’, I could attack from afar first and help even the field a little before we actually began to fight, and if these Crystal Goblins were just as ’strong’ as the previous ones...

Setting the mace back into its holder on my belt, I freed up my hands and began to slowly convert the mana inside of me to Earth Mana, wanting to ignore the elemental matchup for now and instead focus on making use of physics in this fight.

Creating dense balls of stone and letting them hover around my arm, I made quite a few projectiles before pointing my right arm at the Crystal Goblins, targeting them and letting the rocks fly as I flicked my wrist as the ’activator’.

The first whistled through the air before cracking against the back of a Crystal Goblin’s skull, shattering against it but thankfully tearing out a huge chunk in the process, leaving it vulnerable to a second stone that dropped it as I hit the same area.

With three left I sent them towards the next before resuming the formation of my ’ammunition’, which had Lu’Shaki streaking forwards as she closed the distance between the remaining monsters.

The amethystine serpent raised its triangular head and parted its crystal jaws, revealing a crackling bundle of mana that was aimed right at the charging Orc; the next two stones I had created were sent towards it instead of the other monsters, knocking against the hinges of its jaws and pushing its head to the side.

Purple bolts of electricity arced along the ground a few feet away from Lu’Shaki, imbuing the Orc with a healthy dose of adrenaline as she rushed into the ’safety’ of being up close, where that sort of breath attack would be even easier to dodge.

Lowering her shoulder and slamming it into a red goblin, she sent the monster flying back and into the stalagmite, where a loud crunch could be heard as it cracked open its back, damaging it hard and leaving it on the ground.

Her hammer was in motion the moment she got close enough to the others, and with a single swing she shattered the head of a blue goblin before spinning away from the stab of another, opening it up to me and allowing me to hit it with a stone from afar.

Staggering the monster and allowing her to right herself, I bought the Orc the second she needed to slam her hammer down into its skull from above, pulverizing most of its upper body as she hit it rather hard.

Now the Crystal Serpent had only a single helper remaining, but even that Crystal Goblin was quick to fall as I rapidly launched three stones at its chest, tearing out chunks and dropping it to the ground.

Lu’Shaki’s mana covered boot killed it, and with no more help the serpent reared up and prepared another lightning breath for the Orc, only to have to dodge to the side when she bunched up her legs and launched herself upwards.

It’s speed was disconcerting, yet Lu’Shaki was able to keep up with it as she landed on the ground and immediately rolled right as it lunged at her position, its jagged fangs and heavy head slamming into the ground as it tried to pulverize her.

Yanking its head back immediately after, the serpent lunged at her again and again, forcing her to dodge each time and not providing an opening whatsoever, but in doing so I was able to summon larger, heavier stones that I launched at its long body, dealing a little bit of damage.

Each stone tore away chunks of crystal from the purple monster, and although it made no noise itself I almost swore it hissed at me as its large head swung around to face me, its attention shifting somewhat.

That moment almost cost it dearly as Lu’Shaki swung her hammer once again, and although she missed its head she did manage to land a blow on its ’neck’, knocking the monster back a few feet and forcing it to shift its combat style immediately, lest it succumb to her hammer in just a few more blows.

Just going to put this here because I want to ensure people see it: I’m (hopefully) not giving up on the book entirely but next month I’ll be switching over to 3-5 (again, hopefully) uploads a week and only making those uploads 1,000 words long.

I just sort of realized that after these three months all I ended up ’wanting’ from this book was... smut; the plot was sorta there, the drive to do something fresh was there, but I set things up in a way that just didn’t really work out the way I wanted it to, and now it’s coming around to bite me in the ass because I just can’t muster up a whole lot of urge to keep this going daily.

Maybe I won’t keep it going, but I just know that if I do keep forcing myself do upload daily it’ll only end up getting far worse than it is now, and that isn’t fair to myself or to you all who pay for these Chapters.

So... sorry if you loved this more than I did, I really did want to make this work, but I just fumbled hard creatively on this and the passion only seemed to surge whenever I thought about making more smut, but that’s really what Reincarnated is for and more recently, what Servant System has started to become.
