It All Started With Hatred-Chapter 159: Arase all the hatred
"Petal has gifted this to you. You can give her back once she gets pregnant in the future. Or maybe in the next month if they continue at this rate." Issac said, teasing Petal and the poor girl’s face became red with embarrassment.
"Issac." Pearl scolded him, seeing Petal’s reaction.
Leaning close to Petal. Alice whispered something in Petal’s ear."Was Ethan with you in the room this morning?" She asked pulling away to stare at Petal and by her pink blushing cheeks, she reserved her answer.
Alice smirked trying so hard to not tease her but it was hard not to when she was looking so cute like this."Well. It’s obvious with the way your skin is glowing. I’m not letting you off until you tell me when that happened." She whispered in her ear before she pulled away, sitting up straight.
Petal blinked her eyes as she stared at Alice. Is the whole family shameless like this? She wondered to herself. Suddenly she became afraid about her future here.
Petal turned to look at Pearl, noticing the small swoll on her stomach. She wondered what Ethan might be thinking about knowing that his brother will soon be a father. Does she think about his unborn child that he lost because of her father?.
It must have been hard for him to deal with the loss of his wife and his unborn child. She always wanted to ask him about that but she couldn’t. She couldn’t open his old wounds just out of curiosity. The pain he had gone through must have been enough.
After chatting together for about an hour. Issac and Pearl left the mansion and now Petal and Alice are together alone.
Sipping on her tea. Petal looked around her, noticing that something changed in the garden. But she didn’t know what it was. Like these chairs, they weren’t here before.
"Do you like it like this? I changed it. I was bored so I did a little change here and there." Alice said as she placed her teacup down on the table.
Nodding her head. Petal noticed the look of sadness in Alice’s eyes. She must be thinking about the man she loves, the one she lost. It must be hurting her. She must be going through a battle every day to keep going.
Alice turned to look at PetaI when she felt her hand on hers."I’m fine. It’s just on days like these. I just can’t stop thinking about him. I tried to get over this and started a new relationship but I couldn’t. His presence, his voice, and everything about him hunting me whenever I tried. It’s like me moving on. It’s forbidden. " Alice said. Her eyes filled with tears but she didn’t cry or let the tears fall, instead, she blinked them away.
Petal held into her hand tightly, giving her a gentle squeeze before she pulled her in her arms hugging her. Unable to hold back anymore. Alice hugged Petal burying her face in her chest, sobbing. The pain was still there, it never went away. Her wounds reopen with every new day.
Petal let her cry in her arms, rubbing her back soothingly as she held her with the other hand letting her know that she was here for her. Her mother once told that it’s better to cry than hold your feelings inside. She always did that to her, letting her cry in her arms until the end.
She knew how it felt to lose someone you love. A kind of pain that never heals no matter how much you try to heal. You can only learn how to leave with it but forgetting it is something impossible.
"Thank you." Alice said. Taking the tissue from Petal wiping her tears."Ah, I feel better after a good cry. Sorry, I stained your coat." She added.
Petal smiled weakly at her. She didn’t know how Alice could be this strong after everything happened. Something she didn’t think she would be able to do if she were in her place.
"It’s okay." Petal said. signaling.
"It’s a good outfit. I like your ankle boots." Alice said sniffing.
Petal shook her head hopelessly as she looked at Alice. Such a strange girl. She thought to herself.
Making sure that Alice was fine. Petal went to check on Jacob. She hadn’t seen him since this morning. She hoped that he’s comfortable with moving here. She was worried when he accepted the job that Ethan offered him. She felt he did that to protect her and it made her feel guilty. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
Ringing the bell. Petal waited for the door to open. A man opened the door for her.
"Welcome my lady. Please come in." They said,s
Petal nodded her head as she stepped inside the house. Memories came reaching as she looked around her.
"Mr. Jacob is in his room." The maid informed her and Petal nodded her head making her way towards the stairs.
Coming here made her remember the first time she came here. She came to tell Ethan that she wants to put the past behind her and begin a new page. That day she noticed how Ethan was looking at her. His intense staring made her nervous, his presence alone made her nervous. Who would have thought things will come to this between them.
They fall in love, forcing the hatred between them to be forgotten. Just like they said, Love, is a powerful feeling. A powerful feeling that can erase all the hatred.
Knocking on the room door. Petal heard Jacob telling her to enter. Opening the door, She stepped inside the room. To see Jacob sitting on the bed with a laptop on his lap.
"I don’t think your boyfriend would be happy if he knew that you’re here in a man’s bedroom." Jacob said as he continued typing on the laptop.
Petal ignored his words and continued looking around the room. It was a pretty big bedroom. At least she won’t feel guilty that he’s sleeping in some small place.
