It All Started With Hatred-Chapter 216: A surprise for her

Laying on the bed, Ethan played with the ends of Petal’s hair. They came out of the bathroom twenty minutes ago and after Ethan dried her hair with the hairdryer, they decided to lay down on the bed because Petal was exhausted and sleepy because of the medications. Now she is fast asleep in his arms.

Petal has been sleeping too much since she woke up and he doesn’t like it but he knew she had no power over it and that it was the medications’ effects on her. Her body is exhausted and needs time to get back to before the accident and it’s alright, he will be beyond her side nursing her back to health, every day, every night until she’s fully recovered.

Ethan wanted her to get enough sleep for now because he has a surprise for her later. Kissing her forehead, he looked down at her and his heart skipped a beat as he continued to stare at her mesmerizing facial features.

Petal had that kind of beauty that can make grown men get on their knees, asking for her attention. She’s that kind of woman and he was no different. Ever since he met her his life changed. She became the reason he lived for. No, she was the air he breathed to continue living and without her, he can’t breathe.

Covering her body with the blanket, Ethan bent down and kissed the sleeping girl’s head before he quietly left the room and closed the door behind him. He had three hours before Petal woke up and during this short time, he needed to get his surprise ready and perfect.

Reaching the bottom of the stairs, Ethan observed the maids working quietly as he ordered, moving around the house and getting it ready for the surprise romantic dinner. He and Petal were never a normal couple, so that’s why he wanted to do this for her.

He had planned everything, from the dinner preparations to Petal’s clothes for the dinner. Ethan walked towards the dining room to check on the preparations himself. One of the most famous chefs was in the kitchen preparing their dinner meal right now. Now the only thing that was missing was the Petal dress and shoes that were supposed to be here in half an hour from now.

"Everything is going well. Mr. Ethan." The butler that was sent from the main estate said assuring his master and Ethan nodded his head as he looked around him.

"Let everyone leave after they finish." Ethan ordered, knowing that Petal wanted them to be alone without anyone bothering them. She was already bothered by the bodyguards that he assigned to guard the house but said nothing to express it.

Ethan had personally picked each one of them. He personally tested every single man of them to evaluate their skills. He wasn’t ready to put Petal’s life in danger again. It happened once and he won’t allow it to happen again.

"Mr. Ethan. The delivery arrived. Should Iet the maids take it to miss Petal’s room?" The butler asked.

"No need. I’ll take it." Ethan said, taking the nicely wrapped box from the boulter and going upstairs.

Putting the box on the table, Ethan walked towards the bed. Taking off his shoes, He laid down on the bed next to Petal who was still sleeping. One hand under the pillow and the other resting on the bed. She seemed to be peacefully sleeping. No dreams and nightmares.

Caressing her cheek with the back of his hand, Ethan couldn’t stop looking at the sleeping girl. the top of her bathrobe was pulled open revealing a glimpse of her cleavage. Her fair skin looked soft and tempting and his manhood hardened at the sight. The sweet smell of her shampoo invaded his nose nostrils, enticing him more.

Ethan closed his eyes trying to avert the thoughts of her pressed under him trembling in pleasure, her fair skin flushed. He imagined taking her in different positions and her favorite position, of course.

Feeling a warm hand on his cheek, Ethan opened his eyes and saw Petal looking at him. Warping his hand around her waist, He pulled her close to him and pressed a kiss on her forehead.

"Did you sleep well?" Ethan asked in a tender tone as she stroked the back of her head.

Sitting up on the bed, Petal asked, signaling."For how long should I take the medications?"

"For another month." Ethan replied, Knowing the reason why she’s asked. The medications were making her less active and drowsy all the time.

Hearing this, Petal’s shoulders dropped. She didn’t want to take them but she has to if she wants to get back to them before the accident.

"Come with me. I have something to show you." Ethan said as he got off the bed and walked towards her side offering her his hand.

Despite her confusion, Petal placed her hand in his and let him help her to get off the bed because her legs were a bit weak. A side effect of the medications.

Warping his arm around her waist, Ethan supported her weight as they walked towards the table. Petal saw a big box that wasn’t there before she fell asleep. She looked at him, Not understanding what was happening.

"Sit down first." Ethan pulled the chair across from the table closer for her.

Sitting on the chair, Petal watched as Ethan opened the lid of the box and took out a Burgundy dress, showing it to her. Now she was more confused.

Is it a surprise? She wondered.

"What do you think?" Ethan asked as she showed her the dress.

He had picked it personally for her along with the shoes. Ethan chose everything according to Petal’s taste. Vintage yet stylish at the same time. He also chose this color because he loved how the burgundy color appears on her skin.

"Beautiful." Petal touched the fabric of the dress.
