The island dock was even more high-tech than the one on the mainland. It was made of new composite wood, and there were special view decks and hang out areas people could rest in right after a long trip at sea.

Whenever someone approaches the island, the security team would be alerted. Using some advanced long-distance camera technology, they were able to determine who was inside the boat—alerting everyone in the island of their arrivals.

It was not surprising that by the time they all got off the boat they had a small army of people greeting them.

"WELCOME BACK, MASTERS!" they yelled, with the standard salute servants do to their masters.

Most of these people weren’t trained in high society servant culture, but they had a few who did and it seemed they taught them how to act.

To be honest, they really didn’t see them as servants at all, but they didn’t correct them in the end. They would be treated as comrades, anyway, as long as they remained loyal.

The character checks were stringent. They made sure there was no one too greedy or power-hungry in the staff. Further, they were living so comfortably on the island. How could they risk it?

Anyway, the party went forward after saying casual greetings to the staff, heading towards the villa areas, where they would soon be met by old friends.

Woof! Woof!

"Doggos!" Khalifa exclaimed as she saw two little ones running to her with their little feet. She smiled, kneeling down as the two cuties ran to her.

She giggled as they energetically jumped on her and licked her face. As she patted the cuties’ furs, she looked up to see other companions who went to greet them.

"You’re here. Was the trip smooth?" Mr. Bo asked, smiling. He was closely followed by his daughter who kneeled with Khalifa to boop and pat the doggos.

"Yes, the boats ran smoothly. It’s the trip in the Port that was a bit troublesome," she said, making the old man blink. "We may need some of your expertise in planning.."

"Anything I can do to help, Miss Khalifa."

Seeing as the topic was turning to boring ones, little Lina stood up to play with the dogs elsewhere.

"Come here, come here~!" The little girl yelled, and the two dogs immediately followed her to the large clearings around the villas. The trio happily played tag, and the area was filled with lovely laughter of the child and the cute squeak-barks of the dogs.

Mr. Bo had a peaceful smile on his face as his eyes followed his daughter’s figure. "It feels like it’s been forever since I saw her so carefree…"

"Well, we’ll definitely make it a better place so that Lina could live a long and happy life."

Bo looked at her with teary eyes.

"Thank you."

Sigmund noted everything very closely as they settled down. "Hmm, not bad."

Kaize, as always, sneered at him. "Of course! This place is our baby."

Sigmund ignored him and just looked at Naia. "My laboratory equipment," he said. "I have much to study."

This made the men look at him with guarded expressions on his faces. How could they forget this man’s propensity to be a mad scientist!

"What kind of research are you planning?"

"Necessary research," he just said, as concise as always. The men wanted to push him to speak more while Khalifa only smiled.

"We set you a laboratory on the island," she said, deciding on lending him a home near the laboratory, placed in the middle tier of the island. "Your items should already be on the way here."

"We’ll show you a bit more while it’s being set up," Khalifa paused. "In the meantime… since this is your first time here…"

She also looked at Jacob, as well as Mr. Bo. "Would you like a tour of the island?"

Of course, no one disagreed. They were all curious what Khalifa and the others had done! Even Mr. Bo, who had an idea, wanted to see the plans and concepts in reality.

With that, Khalifa and Kaize took them around the island for some basic knowledge about their amenities.

The island had several levels, both in design and in height. As Khalifa’s closest cronies, they occupied the inner areas, which were also placed on the higher elevations of the island.

The island was basically designed to be a livable resort, sans the excessive open and leisure spaces. Those were replaced with agricultural farms, solar farms, wind turbines, and the like.

There was also a small fertilizer plant and a biogas chamber, to make them a sustainable gas source.

Over all, the whole island was a sustainable ecosystem on its own.

The status of farms and livestocks was very good. Even the farms in open air grew normally, and it could be said that the theory that the earth was simply cleansing against humans was accurate.

There were also small parks and amenities like gyms, gazebos, shooting ranges, and the like.

In any case, the living conditions here were definitely infinitely better than those outside.

"This is so amazing!" Little Lina said, and looked at her dad. "Are we really going to live here?"

The old man laughed, patting the girl’s head. "Yes."

"Yay!" She squealed and jumped and ran off to play with the dogs again, making everyone smile.

Then, seeing the child have fun and run around—something they hadn’t seen since the disaster happened—they felt melancholic.

Few children had survived until now—how could it have been easy? Even adults had a hard time surviving. It was a grim thought that dampened the light and happy mood from before.

Khalifa sighed. "The world needs more children."

This made the men look at her. Kaize smiled, caressing her curvaceous waist. "We can start tonight."

Khalifa rolled her eyes and lightly slapped his naughty hand away, gracefully striding towards her house. "I’m hungry, let’s go have lunch."

The queen was hungry, and the servants could only follow with smiles on their faces.
