Khalifa: Queen in the Apocalypse-Chapter 250: New Guests
A few days later, two helicopters flew over the port base, and headed straight to the island. They arrived from different directions, arriving at around the same time.
They were rather large helicopters and a bit threatening, quickly approaching the island.
Such big machines looming over naturally caused the defense system to be triggered. It sent blaring alarms all over, causing everyone in the island to up their defenses
[Halt! Stop where you are or we will unleash relentless fire!]
"Wow, this seems familiar," Hugo said, crossing his arms. He took the scope and checked out the system, confirming that it was, indeed, his family’s.
Hey, he should’ve known this was where Kaize would use the system he bought from him.
In retrospect, he remembered being curious about where the redhead was using it, but didn’t check because he was too lazy in the end.
Rather, he enjoyed watching Mermaid’s videos and was too lazy to go anywhere else.
Imagine if he was just a little nosier and took a peek? He could’ve met Khalifa much earlier! All that sexy time wasted!!
Regrets!
While Hugo was being filled with regrets, the other helicopter also hovered in place, though the atmosphere was a lot more serious than Hugo’s.
"Isn’t there a way to inform them we’re here?" Liam asked Kylo, whose deep azure eyes stared fixedly at the island. He looked extremely serious, but internally he was longing for his Khalifa.
The communications had yet to be restored at this time, and he wondered if there was a tool they could use to make signals. He nodded as an idea
A few moments later, an announcement resounded through the strong speaker, catching everyone’s attention.
They were a little tense, to be honest, as they listened to the static, and their shoulders relaxed when the person finally spoke.
[Yo! Who are you?]
It was Kaize. As unprofessional as always.
Kylo turned to the people next to him. "Don’t we have a speaker?"
Abu took one from the toolbox, speaking through it. It was not a high-powered amplifier, but it was enough. "It’s us! People from the Capitol Base!"
[Prove it! Throw a person named Kylo off right now!]
"..."
Kylo frowned and electricity wrapped around his arms, shooting at an area with a large voltage. He didn’t damage anything, but it was enough to show off his ability.
[Fine! Point taken!]
Hugo saw that the other helicopter had gone in and manifested his metal, too. He went out the door and—despite the strong winds hitting his body—he skillfully made a sign with metal.
His sign couldn’t be too big or dense as a strength limitation, of course, but it was enough to spell something eligible from the ground level.
It said ’Asshole’, in cursive.
[Asshole! Stay there!]
This was followed by static, and then by a couple moments of pause.
[You temporarily got the queen’s permission.] the voice said, tone obviously one of defeat, and it made Hugo very happy.
Not only because Kaize was put in his place, but mostly because his Khalifa was there to see him!
Anyway, when they got to the helipad, Kylo’s had already landed and he was greeted by a few people. Hugo couldn’t wait and jumped off before the helicopter landed, immediately pulling Khalifa into his arms.
He wasn’t able to dwell on her softness for long because she was pulled by another, who also embraced her tightly.
Fortunately, the two men—remembering they had people with them—didn’t make much of a scene. They introduced their companions, indicating the trip was more of business rather than pleasure.
Naturally, the two men vouched for these guests, who would keep the status of the island (and its contents) mum. While they couldn’t hide forever with technology, they could bid themselves more time.
With Kylo, there was Liam and Abu, who were pretty much trusted individuals they went through hell with.
They looked at their former companions with sincere smiles, glad they were living well.
Next was Hugo there was his butler, Raymond. Behind them, there was also Auntie and Grandma.
Khalifa brightened at the sight of the two women. "Grandma! Auntie!"
"Oh, sweet Khalifa," Auntie said with a smile. "You have an amazing place." They came in by air, after all, and they happened to see a lot of this place.
"Thank you," Khalifa said, holding their hands. "Would you like to stay with me?"

Hugo grinned, holding her shoulder to place a sound smooch on her face. "Brought them here for that."
"My mountain base is awesome but since the air is clean there was no need to be so stifled," he said, "I brought them here for fresh air."
"Well, you’re welcome here," she said, giggling, and kissing him back.
After the introductions, Khalifa knew it was time to give the guests what they came for. She looked at her men and they nodded, walking over to the guests. .
They did not forget to pull Hugo and Kylo on the trip. "Let us tour you to our place. We will also be discussing the prices of the resources as well as the purchase limit per base."
Hugo looked reluctant to separate from Khalifa, but business first. It was the same as Kylo, but it was never obvious on his face.
Khalifa chuckled at their expressions and turned back to the other two women, guiding them to their houses. She got one of the caretakers to clean up one of the single detached houses in the northeast.
Except for Khalifa’s grand villa, the houses here were a mix of two-storey detached houses, or three-storey duplexes, and Khalifa naturally lent them the bigger detached houses with a very good view.
The two woman gasped in admiration at their new house. Sure, they were born rich, but who could live so nicely in the apocalypse?
Auntie’s feet moved quickly as she went to the balcony area, admiring the sights. "It has a wonderful view of the ocean."
Closely behind her, Grandma followed at a slower pace, holding Khalifa’s arm. "Aw, how lovely!" Grandma said with a bright smile.
She then turned to Khalifa, gently patting her arm. "You’re letting us stay in a very good house. Thank you."
She smiled at the two old women with fond eyes. "Well, you can stay here for as long as you want."
The two women chuckled and the three continued to focus on the view, before the two older women turned and focused on her.
It was the kind of blatant staring that made her flinch. "What is it?"
Instead of answering, the two women both guided her to chatter on the sofa. "So, it’s so peaceful now, what’s your next plan?"
Khalifa blinked. "Find the zombie virus antidote, I suppose."
"No, I mean personally," Auntie reiterated, before looking at her stomach. "Isn’t it high time to create a family? You have such a nice place…"
Grandma nodded. "Yes, yes. Imagine little babies running around!"
They were old women who didn’t mind being nosy. Besides, they looked at Khalifa as their own child, of course they’d be a bit nosy!
Khalifa didn’t mind the concern either. On the contrary, she felt warm.
And… children?
Khalifa’s eyes softened at the image of children running around, calling her ’mum’.
This time…, she didn’t reject anything.
