Kingdom Building: Civilization Starts with Divinity-Chapter 76: Menial Tasks
<A new day has started! You’ve gained 4048 Divine Power, thanks to your followers! Your citizens will start getting hungry soon. Feed them 147 units of food before the end of the day, or they will begin suffering from starvation!>
<The System will go through a Major update in 2 days!>
<Your FAI has increased by 8!>
Alchemy’s eyes shot open. She was barely awake as usual when she saw how much Divine Power she gained.
"2 days left, huh? I can’t believe I’ve only been here a little over a week. The others who arrived here... They’re probably doing fine, right?"
Ever since the system mentioned that she was only the third person to reach Tier 1 in their Civilization, and now that she is the first to reach Tier 2, she couldn’t help but worry about the others brought here.
<Nobody with non-severable ties has been brought. Not without their express permission.>
"Oh, so you’re allowed to kidnap those of us who don’t?" Alchemy responded sarcastically.
The system didn’t respond, leaving Alchemy hanging as it always did.
Its attempt to reassure her was bizarre enough, but even worse, it worked to some extent.
Alchemy had various reasons for wanting to return to Earth, but nothing important was left for her except maybe her friends. Chances are, most of them were dragged here as well, though. At least some of them had to be.
"Whatever. What’s even on today’s agenda?" She asked herself, leaving her hut.
<Prospect’s Tribal Hut -> Prospect’s Manor>
|<Requirements: 4 [Tier 2 Buildings] placed. 2/4 | 1500 units of Stone | 1500 units of Wood | 10 of any Unrefined Tin, Unrefined Lead, Unrefined Iron, Unrefined Silver, Unrefined Copper or Unrefined Tungsten>|
"I guess working on this. The bonuses from the Throne should still start at Tier two." Alchemy hummed.
Alchemy looked around, but the base was relatively empty right now. The Sylvan Carvers and Granitects were hard at work with their tasks, and a few of her offensive units were coming in and out of the base with corpses.
Best of all, it wasn’t completely overrun by flowers from Ruinous Bloom. She didn’t know precisely how the spawning mechanic worked about distance, but for the roughly 14-ish hours she was unconscious and meditating, over a thousand flowers should have spawned in total.
Her children were so diligent!
"Nera must be out with them."
Shrugging, Alchemy made her way to her Chrysalis Nexus. She had completely forgotten to start a new research yesterday and still had those Tier 2 Defensive Building Vouchers to use.
Looking through her available options, there weren’t many as far as Tier 2 went. Tier 3 was where the real defenses started since actual walls could be researched at this Tier.

Rather rapidly, Alchemy chose the Web Spewer. The Acid Trap became extremely strong as it was leveled up, but it’s a massive resource sink. Resources Alchemy just didn’t have.
The Web Spewer was quite reliable, but there were better options down the road. It’d be okay right now, however, especially since a large majority of her units either had range or a fast hit-and-run attack style.
"Now, It’s just a matter of waiting for the Stone." Alchemy lamented.
As far as buildings were concerned, a Tier 3 mine was the most immediate necessity. She needed more Tier 3 materials for that, though.
After finishing up in the Chrysalis Nexus, she moved to the Hatchery Nexus.
<Research Points: 2753>
Now, here, this is where she could splurge, and splurge she would.
Immediately, she finished maxing out the Thornskirmishers’ HP, their CON stat reaching 12 for 200 Research Points.
She then used the rest of her points to max out the health of both Wingrazers and Frostmarks. Since they were already Tier 2, each increase took 200 instead of 100.
The Wingrazers’ CON went from a measly 4 to 24! The Frostmarks CON only doubled. Still, double for them was a massive 50! Even among the stronger individual types of units, the Frostmarks weren’t an easy target to kill.
Alchemy considered them the objectively strongest Verminae unit for a reason.
Next, she moved to check the world tree, checking the progress gained from her skill’s synergy.

"224. 0.1 Divine Power per flower? 0.2 probably." Alchemy hummed.
As small as it was, any progress was excellent. Especially when she could multitask and gain more Faith at the same time.
Alchemy couldn’t be more satisfied with this outcome.
That being said, as she closed the World Tree’s panel, Alchemy began to look at the sky idly.
"That’s it, right?"
She used all her Research Points, she didn’t have the materials to build anything else meaningful, and she needed to save as much Divine Power as possible for the rest of her Miracle Generation subskills and the World Tree.
At the very least, she couldn’t think of anything else that was done. All she could do now was wait for Gravana to show his big canine face for their routine training sessions.
Alchemy felt... A little empty. It hadn’t been an hour since she woke up, and everything was finished.
What else was she meant to do if finishing all her tasks were so quick? Sure, she could meditate and try to increase her stats, but if she did that too much, Alchemy was sure she’d go insane from boredom.
Even if she wanted to meditate right now, she couldn’t. Gravana would arrive sometime in the next half an hour, most likely, and she had no way of keeping track of time when in that trance-like state.
"Even when I’m in an Isekai situation, I can’t escape gacha dailies." She lamented
