Chapter 439: It’s Not Over Yet!

Belial blew out a shaky breath, cold sweat sliding down the back of his neck.

That was close, too close. When Ezreal’s Mystic Shot came flying at him, his skill cooldown had coincidentally just refreshed. Belial almost fumbled in his haste to press the E key.

Thankfully, Elise’s E—Rappel—made her untargetable the instant it was activated. Otherwise, that graze from Ezreal’s Mystic Shot would have taken his life.

Asmodai hurriedly stood in Ezreal’s path. If Elise didn’t have a target to land on, she was basically still vulnerable and would drop back down onto her original position.

If Ezreal caught up to her at this time, Belial could still die.

Lin Dong was also relentless, not planning to show them any mercy either. With his Q not hitting its mark, he started towards where Elise had stood.

Asmodai took this time to use Graves to keep up his attack on Lin Dong, who frowned as he watched his health drop. It was possible that Graves would kill him. Lin Dong kept calm, not rushing to trade with Asmodai.

Seeing that Ezreal had finally retreated, Belial came down from the sky and also started to retreat.

With a one kill lead, Team Daemons had come out on top in this fight and was now in the lead. Ezreal was the last remaining member of Team Skycrown left standing. If they could, Team Daemons would wipe them out completely, but it didn’t seem like there were any more chances for them to do so.

Suddenly, Asmodai shouted, “Bel, watch out!”

Belial froze. Right at the moment when he moved to retreat, he realized that there was a black vortex appearing underneath his feet!

In a burst of dark purple light from underneath him, a Dark Sphere hit him with magic damage, taking away the last bit of health Belial’s Elise had left.

“What… this…”

Even Bao Jun was stunned speechless. He thought that the chase had ended with Belial’s stunning evade. He hadn’t expected that the fight which was almost at a close would be reopened by the champion who died first at the beginning of the fight.

Team Skycrown gleefully cheered together, “Awesome, Wu Sen!”

The fierce, raging battle had everyone all tensed up, including Yu Luocheng. No one realized that Wu Sen, who was the first to die, had respawned. Plus, he even arrived at such a f*cking great timing, hitting Elise with a Dark Sphere just as she turned to run with that last bit of health.

More importantly, Wu Sen had appeared from Asmodai’s side. From his position, it was entirely possible to intercept Asmodai from the tribush area.

Wu Sen shouted at Lin Dong, “Kill him, kill him!!”

Lin Dong’s eyes brightened, Team Daemons was about to go down!

Wu Sen kept chasing Graves, and Lin Dong’s Ezreal did the same, chasing him from the tribush to the river.

“This… this really is a turn of events!”

The arena was still in a frenzy. When would you see such a ferocious level one fight in the professional scene?!

And not only that, most of the champions only had about one skill at this stage, and the way each player utilized their one skill was super entertaining and interesting!

The thing that sparked the most interest was the determination of both teams in this level one fight. It was a consistent push and pull with neither side losing or winning. This fight was so chaotic, to the point that even the first champion to die had already revived and caught up to give assistance.

If Syndra who had died in the beginning had already resurrected and caught up, then what about Team Daemons’ Annie, who also died at almost the same time?

Suddenly realizing the danger, Yu Luocheng hurriedly warned Wu Sen and Lin Dong, “Be careful of Annie!”

Asmodai had been retreating, backing up to one of the bushes at top lane. Taking note of his low health, Lin Dong and Wu Sen naturally chased after him. From the bush, out jumped a little loli!

Whoosh!

A cone of fire spewed out, stunning Lin Dong and Wu Sen, giving Asmodai’s Graves some space to finally breathe.

Seeing his health drop further, Lin Dong hurriedly used Barrier, trying to survive a little longer.

Wu Sen screamed and cursed in anger. Just a bit more… just a little bit more and he would have taken care of Graves. God f*cking d*amnit, Annie just had to come out right at that moment to assist after buying the Boots of Speed!

Annie had taken First Blood and with the additional gold from one assist, Mephistopheles saw that he had just enough gold to buy the Boots before rushing to support his teammate…

Without the Boots, Mephistopheles wouldn’t have been able to catch up!

The tables have turned again, and now Lin Dong’s Ezreal was the one in danger. Lin Dong’s health was very low, just letting Annie touch him once or twice would be enough to kill him off.

Watching as Graves, who had just that last bit of health left, limped off towards the top lane, Lin Dong gritted his teeth. “Even if I die, I will bring you down with me!”

Lin Dong was not going to run. After recovering from the stun, he went straight for Graves. He aimed his Mystic Shot for the long distance it needed to cover. The bolt of energy whistled as it flew, landing on Graves!

“Nice! This Q turned out to be an accurate double prediction. Asmodai’s Graves executed a beautiful dodge backwards to avoid Ezreal’s Q, but Sky Swan predicted this and aimed his Q at a slightly different angle to hit Graves at the spot he dodged to!” exclaimed Bao Jun excitedly.

Lin Dong’s two important Qs were completely accurate. It was understandable that the first was dodged by Elise. But the second Q didn’t disappoint and killed off Graves.

Of course, Lin Dong’s Ezreal wasn’t able to withstand Annie’s attacks either, falling to them after he killed Graves.

Five to five!

Now, all the members of both teams have died once each. Only the respawned Syndra and Annie were left on the map, and they were soloing!

Two level one champions—who would win?

“Two mage champions, their basic attacks are too low to deal any significant damage. Half the time, they wouldn’t be able to kill anyone with it. So now the question is, will the other members catch up in time to give any assistance…”

As soon as Bao Jun said that, the camera focus shifted and the screen cut to Hades’ Riven.

As soon as the screen switched, the audience could see how familiar and skilful Hades was at using Riven. To allow himself to reach the fight faster, Hades’ Riven utilized her three Qs to jump over walls!

Hades easily conquered the higher terrain. To be able to navigate with such ease requires a certain amount of practise, it wasn’t as simple as jumping over it however you wanted to. Jumping over the thick wall behind the blue buff was also a difficult feat…

“Riven’s wall jump is a technique that has unexpected effects, which is one of the reasons why she’s getting more and more popular as a Jungler. However, this wall jumping requires a lot of practise to be accurate.

“When it comes to the higher terrains or thicker walls like those at the buff, just a slight misstep and you won’t be able to cross it. Under such a tense and pressuring situation, it’s amazing that Hades was still able to cross through two of the most difficult terrains, one after another!”

The audience who were watching were also in shock, and the same thought was floating in the minds of the players who don’t really play Riven, ‘What the… so you can even play Riven this way!’

Even without Flash, Riven can still go through the thicker walls!

Hades had used his familiarity and skills on this champion to reveal what a real Riven player really needed to be able to do.

A Support and a Mid were still exchanging blows, and Riven’s Runic Blade flashed coldly. Relying on the speed from her skill, he was going after Wu Sen’s head!

Seeing Hades’ bloodlust approaching him quickly, Wu Sen had no choice but to give up on killing Annie, turning around to run.

Yu Luocheng moved Anivia, wishing he could grow another four pairs of wings to let himself fly faster. With Hades’ chasing, full of murderous intent, Wu Sen would probably not stand a chance once his Q was up!

Wu Sen was heading towards the turret, and Hades was scarily able to catch up to them in such a short time…

“This… he’s still chasing, Hades is really out for blood!”

In a typical professional game, both teams would be more steady in their play. It was normal to see some pursuits, but they would normally stop before it went too far. A fierce match like this was really very rare!

And they were still going at it…

Their level one fight had yet to end, and the minion waves on each lane had also been fighting for quite a while already. None of the champions on both sides had gone into their lanes yet.

It felt like they were trying to settle the entire game with their level one fight!

And in some ways, that was indeed true. Whoever won the level one fight would be the team that dominates the game. If both sides were equal in terms of strength, then the advantage in kills would affect the buffs, levels, gank in lanes, jungle control, and Dragon control…

A tyrant like Hades would have Wu Sen’s head no matter what, even if it meant chasing him to the turret at the middle lane or tower diving!

Finally, his Q—Broken Wings—refreshed.

Hades’ Riven closed the gap and approached Wu Sen in an instant. Although Wu Sen had entered the safety of the turret range, Hades was still not giving up!

On the second recast of Q, and using Animation Cancel to cancel the later part of the Q animation, his blade swung and hit Wu Sen once.

You could clearly see Hades pressing down on Q again before the basic movement was complete. The moment the damage from the second recast landed, Hades completed the third recast of Broken Wings!

Wu Sen was knocked up into the air, his body suspended for a second. In that second, Hades readied his second basic attack and swung his blade to take away the last bit of Wu Sen’s health.

Everyone saw the turret hitting Riven twice, bringing her health down significantly. While everyone’s hearts were in their throats at that, Hades’ Riven slid out of range. Just a little bit more and the turret would have killed him!

“Fighting Hawk! Fighting Hawk is coming in hot from the side, it’s not over yet!”

Bao Jun and the entire arena were going crazy!

What sort of deep hatred do your teams have against each other to result in such a shocking and terrifying level one fight? Not only did both teams wipe each other out, they even continued to fight after respawning.

Have you considered the feelings of the minions on both the red and blue sides? They have been fighting in lane for the past few minutes and yet are still being ignored!

A shiny, massive chunk of ice slowly floated across the area.

Anivia’s Flash Frost seems to float slowly, but its range is actually quite wide. If the ice was shattered with good timing, it would be hard to avoid it.

How can Yu Luocheng let Hades, who had killed under turret, escape? His Flash Frost floated towards the direction that Hades had moved to.

“The angle is on point, will it hit, will it hit?!” shouted Bao Jun, his hand gripping the table in anticipation.

In his long career as a LOL commentator, this was the first time that Bao Jun had gotten so emotional during a match. You could really tell just how moving and thrilling the fight between these two teams was!
