Darius stared at the golems, he didn’t need any more explanation. ’Evolve?’ he was prepared to do way more than evolve. He readied his stance again, eyes locked on the golems like a sniper to its target. ’I am not here to evolve but to show them how to use my powers.’

He tightened his grip on the Red Cobra Blade, he knew that taking the golems on one-on-one would not be a good idea. Darius read all the possible moves he was going to make, but there was one thing bothering him.

"Okay, let’s dance!" Darius dashed forward the golem that had regenerated, his blade flashed as he landed precise blows on the golem, carving dents on the being.

He landed more strikes before launching himself into the air. His eyes on the golem he had hit with his sword, he took a deep breath.

{Dragon’s Bullet Activated!}

Darius blasted the golem with the bullet, one of the strongest moves in his arsenal. The sheer force alone was what aided him down Slav in his last fight.

The golem stood no chance against the lethal blow, and Darius managed to shatter one of the golems. He landed as he turned and went for the last golem; his speed increased, and all his focus was on the stone monster in front of him.

Darius drew his sword, knowing that the golem was resistant to mana-based attacks, and he would be having an issue even doing anything like that to them.

"Here goes!" Darius leaped into the air, about to land a deadly strike on the golem’s head. The golem raised his hand. Suddenly, from nowhere, an intense force pushed Darius back. He barely managed to stand looking at the creature; he was not sure what had happened.

’How on earth did it do that? I don’t have a skill like that, so how is it doing that?’ Darius was looking at the golem, he was trying to figure out what had happened.

’Wait, it can modify my moves?!’ Darius was looking at the golem, knowing that one wrong move would mean he was going to lose the training match.

"I am not going to give it the chance!" Darius raised his hand, trying to crush the golem into the ground. He struggled to hold it down. The golem broke free from the hold. Simultaneously, it activated Dragon Blast on Darius.

The sonokinetic blast took Darius by surprise, sending him back first into the wall. He left a huge hole in the wall, falling to the ground. Darius coughed up a bit of blood, he looked up; his vision was a bit blurry as he was looking at the golem.

"Damn... that hurt." Darius gritted his teeth. Speed and brute force wouldn’t cut it—one mistake, and he’d be crushed.

Darius stared at the golem; the mere thought of it using his skills against him left him a bit scared.

’The main reason you are losing this fight is because you keep limiting what you could do with your skills.’ Azree chimed in.

Darius frowned. Azree never spoke without reason—so what was he missing?

’What do you mean?’ Darius questioned. he was looking at the golem, and he knew there was no way he would be able to make the Dragonic Blast that powerful. The force alone left heatwaves in the air, he had not dealt with anything like that in the dungeons he faced.

’This was the reason you almost lost to Slav, You need to push past your limits and thoughts. You made a deadlier skill mid-battle with Slav all because you let go of your thoughts for a while.’ Azree explained.

Darius’s eyes widened; he knew he had to do something now to make sure he would take the golem down.

’I don’t know, Azree. I am going to try something insane.’ Darius picked up his sword. Holding it firmly, he lunged for the golem with intense speed. Once he was close enough to the golem, he propelled himself into the air.

The golem began to levitate. Darius wasn’t trying to crush the golem; he was pulling it to himself. His pupils dilated like a predator about to pounce on prey, he increased the force of his pull.

’Ahhh!’ Darius yelled as he managed to pull the golem from the floor. He brought out the sword he was going to thrust through the golem’s chest. Once Darius was halfway close to the golem, the air around the golem warped, waves of heat distorting space itself.

Darius let go of the golem, shifting his pull to a nearby pillar just in time—the blast shattered it, but not before it absorbed most of the impact.

"Ah shit!" Darius couldn’t move himself. If not for his quick thinking, he would have been in the same position as the pillar.

"Now that’s just great!" Darius fell from the ceiling and landed on his feet. With little to no energy, he fell on his face. ’If this was an enemy, I would be dead.’

’I am delighted to see that you noticed. it were an enemy you were facing, then you would be dead, and nothing would be able to bring you back.’ Azree quipped.

Darius turned to lie on his back, staring at the ceiling. "How is it that they can use my abilities way better than me? They are stones!" He sulked, the fact he lost to stone creatures.

’They were fighting you to survive, so they did what they were programmed to do. Modify and attack, but then if they were able to modify your skill, doesn’t it tell you that you would need to step up too?’

’You saw what Slav did to you, and you know if this was the same scenario, we wouldn’t be having this talk.’ Azree reminded Darius of what he had gone through. ’Let the pain sink in, it will help you think.’

A thought lingered in Darius’s mind: ’could he evolve?’
