Chapter 51: Trial Of Fire Part 3 The Knight Moves, Insanity Clicks!

Darius knew he was bound to see something out of the ordinary facing a being like Pryion; he had his eyes fixed on him and his mind ready for anything the giant knight would throw at him.

Pryion unsheathed his blade, and suddenly, there was a burst of heat all over Darius. He couldn’t believe that the intense heat was from an unsheathed blade.

"You should consider yourself lucky mortal, not many have the privilege of seeing Isakador unsheated. But to rid the world of filth like you, then I would do anything to honor my king."

Darius prepared himself for some reason; all his instincts told him to keep his eye on the sword Pryion wielded.

"I have seen more heat at barbecues, so why don’t you get on with it?" Darius had a sly smile on his face. He pulled out the Red Cobra Blade from the inventory, about to take his stance when he felt all his senses go off.

He felt the blade go through him. Darius jumped back, holding his sword to his chest. He looks up to see that Pryion had not moved from his spot, but the blade in his hands was glowing.

’What in the world was that?’ Darius gasped, confused—no wound, but his body remembered the pain.

{Isakador activated unique skill- Hellish Nightmare, skill places enemies in scenarios where he is slain allowing the wielder to kill the opponents}

’The sword has skills? So that means it’s like Ve’xa too!’ Darius was still sweating, he didn’t know that a blade could have skills too.

{Isakador- A blade forged from the fang of the Great Dragon King Of Fire Aeres.}

Darius smiled as he looked at the knight. He knew it was not going to be a fair fight from the start, but then for a sword alone to have this devastating ability.

He took his fighting stance looking at the knight, he kept his blade close to his chest. "Is that all you got?"

Pryion chuckled a bit, revealing a menacing laugh. "You baffle me, mortal; I will give you that." He took his fighting stance, looking at Darius.

"I will take you down swiftly." He said, keeping his eyes on Darius. Both of them were ready for the other to strike.

’Darius! Whatever you do, don’t let Isakador strike you!’ Azree warned. Darius was stunned that the warning came like that.

"Don’t worry Azree, I will be on my toes and he will not...."

Darius turned to see that Pryion had closed the distance; the knight was right in front of him. The next thing Darius felt was a blow on his side, sending him into the air.

"Burn, Isakador!" Pryion pointed the blade at the warrior, and a huge wave of fire came from the blade, firing at Darius like a cannon.

Before Darius could dodge the attack connected with his left arm, burning him.

"Ah! Shit!" Darius fell to the floor, he looked to see that his blade was on the other side. He looked up to see Pryion coming for him at a scary speed, he jumped back.

"Take this!" Darius yelled as he positioned himself for the knight, charging up one of his strongest attacks.

{Dragon Bullet Activated!}

Darius fired the deadly attack for Pryion, but to his surprise, the knight dispersed the attack. It didn’t do anything but make him stand in place.

Darius was short of words, he couldn’t imagine what he was looking at. "Impossible, but the bullet is faster now..." Hints of doubt and despair lingered in Darius’s words.

Pryion dusted off the little dent the bullet had caused on his armor and looked at Darius. "You thought that a weak attack like that would do something to me? You insult me, Mortal. I have slain millions in the name of Aere,s King of Fire. And you are nowhere close to those people!"

Darius’s eyes widened—he hadn’t even seen Pryion move. The boot hit his groin before his brain registered the pain; the kick sent Darius up to the ceiling.

He felt his bones move as blood gushed out his mouth. Darius fell to the floor, trying hard to breathe. He looked up to see Pryion slowly walking towards him, his eyes burning with anger.

"The kings rid the world of the corrupt power you harbored millennia ago, but yet vile, unworthy mortal like you had to stumble into it." Pryion dragged his blade on the floor as he walked to Darius. "This fight disheartens me, I would have enjoyed basking in the silence as I praised my Lord Aeres."The knight raised his sword to strike Darius.

Darius blocked it, he had used his telekinetic abilities to pull his sword to himself, blocking the attack. He struggled to push Pryion off him, the knight weighed a ton.

"You think you are going to do something to me?" Pryion was puzzled; he tilted his head, looking at Darius.

The warrior let out the Wrym’s roar right on Pryion’s face, pushing the knight back and giving him a chance to breathe.

Pryion shook his head as he tried to shake off the minor effects of the roar. He placed his gaze back on Darius.

"Yet another stupid trick," Pryion mocked as he looked at Darius.

He was coughing, his left hand badly burnt, most of his bones broken. His cough had entrails of blood. But yet the knight was unscahted.

"You think you’re tough? Drop your blade and show me what you are made of!" He stood up looking at the Knight. He didn’t know what was going to do to weaken the monster, but he wasn’t going to win that fight swinging hopelessly at him.

Pryion grunted. He paused, looking at Darius. "Very well." He threw Isakador to the floor. The very ground the sword touched began to melt, turning into lava. "Show me your strength."

Darius raised his hand, waiting for the knight to make his move, but like a flicker in his eye. He didn’t see when Pryion made his move. The knight delivered a punch to Darius’s chest, sending him back a few feet.

Darius fought all he had to stand on his feet. Looking up, he saw Pryion coming again, but this time, he blocked the attack with his left hand.

Their punches connected, releasing a massive shockwave; the impact shattered Darius’s left arm.

"Ahh!" He yelled in pain as he tried to jump back, but Pryion pulled him by his broken arm. Holding him by his head, he used Darius’s face to smash on his knee. Before he kicked the warrior down to the ground, Darius could feel his very life about to leave him, fighting everything he fought to breathe.

Pryion stomped him on the chest into the ground, causing a mini crater in the temple.

"Your filthy existence angered the kings! You, a mortal with no value to the great realms, made the kings flinch? I wonder how you were able to defeat Slav!" Pryion delivered another punch to Darius’s chest, and he then grabbed our warrior by the neck.

The heat from his fists burnt Darius’s neck, keeping him awake. He winced in pain as he struggled to break free. He was looking into Pryion’s eyes, and all he could see was death.

Pryion stared at Darius with disgust, he didn’t know what the big deal was with such a weak creature.

"You shouldn’t even be a problem. to the kings you barely exist." Pryion summoned Isakador, the sword entered his hand. "I will relieve you of that filthy power, I pray you will be reborn into a better light."

Darius was barely keeping himself awake; he charged up the Dragon’s bullet, firing it at Pryion’s face. The attack made the knight toss him away.

Darius landed close to the head of the guardian he had decapitated. His vision was blurry, his entire body bruised up, and his insides felt like a train wreck. He looked up to see that Pryion was in pain.

’I can’t beat this guy. his attacks are readable, but I can’t even do anything to stop it. The heat from him is burning the air around us, I need something to help me.’

He then turned back to the guardian’s head, pulling it closer to himself. He then looked at the knight, he knew that there was nothing else he could think of.

"Here goes nothing."

Darius sank his teeth into it, biting off a chunk of the guardian’s flesh. The piece of flesh felt like drinking a glass of boiling oil.

"Urghhhh!" Darius fought hard not to die from the pain felt from eating the guardian’s flesh or the pain of Pryion’s attacks.

Darius blacked out twice from the burning pain the guardian’s flesh caused him. Each time he closed his eyes, the burning pain from the digesting flesh would bring him back.

’Heavens save me!’ Darius silently prayed before the pain kicked in again. he curled up, vomiting blood all over the floor, and his eyes began twirling as he couldn’t handle it.

Pryion cleaned his face, angry that our warrior had landed such a low trick on him.

"You only bought yourself little time, I will end you now once and for..." Pryion looked up to see something was going on. He saw the head of the guardian in Darius’s hand, and he could also see that there was a chunk gone.

"What did you do?!" Pryion yelled as he launched for the warrior about to strike him down with his blade.

Clang!

Pryion was stopped; he was being held back by Darius, but it was no longer the lowly mortal he had been facing.

"What have you done?" Pryion was about to punch Darius when the warrior delivered a sharp blow to the knight’s chest, sending him back.

The knight looked at his armour to see a dent; he then looked at Darius. He heard growls coming from the warrior, he held Isakador close.

"I thought you were mortal? No mortal is capable of this level of insanity!"

Darius stood there, the dust cleared up to reveal him in a monstrous form. Fangs sticking out his mouth, four-inch-long claws, a growl that would come from a beast in the wild coming from our beloved warrior.
