Breaking free from the hold, he kicked the guardian back. He used Ve’xa to push the guardian back further so he would have enough space to think.

’So you’re telling me that the two big lizards would eat themselves to get stronger and bigger and ugiler? I now see why I didn’t pay much attention in biology class.’

Darius took his stance. he kept his guards up, knowing that there was a chance he would be attacked out of nowhere by the guardian.

"I take it normal attacks won’t work." Darius took a step in front, his eyes on the guardian, waiting for it to make its move. The Guardian charged for Darius, putting his spear first, and Darius evaded the attack. He jumped up. Standing on the tip of the spear, he managed to keep his balance before he went in for a hit.

He kicked the guardian back a few feet, but the guardian didn’t fall; it shook off the kick and charged for Darius again. It kept launching attacks with its spear at Darius, with each strike its speed increased and the heat from his weapon doubled.

’This bastard! It’s trying to fry me with the spear!’ Darius pulled Ve’xa, using it to block the guardian’s attack. He took a step back before he used his telekinetic abilities to pull the guardian closer to himself.

{Dragon’s Dominion Activated- Revered Pull!}

Once the guardian was close enough, Darius used his blade to strike it back. He was trying his best not to use his mana before the main fight, but the guardian had other plans.

The guardian stood up, striking his spear into the ground. Suddenly, there was a huge wall of flames standing 10 feet tall, covering six meters of space.

Darius was standing close to the wall. He felt a burn on his skin, making him jump in front, wincing in pain. He looked at the guardian, a smile on his face.

"This isn’t playing ya know!" Darius tried to carry Ve’xa up, but he noticed something: the blade seemed to have gotten a bit heavy. "What in the world? I cant lift the freaking sword!"

’That thing is a magic sword, Darius, and magic weapons drain mana. If you are not able to lift it, then it means that it has drained part of your mana.’ Azree gave him a reply.

"So you mean?" Darius looked up to see the guardian charging right toward him again. This time, Darius couldn’t move himself out of the way fast enough. He took a devasting hit that sent him right back into the wall, burning his back in the process.

"Ahhh!" Darius fell on his knees. He looked up to see that the guardian was charging again, and this time, it had increased its ferocity. Darius dodged the attacks it had, but then there was no telling what was going to come next.

’Darius, you need to think fast! This monster is trying to kill you!’ Azree chirped in again.

Darius could hardly breathe; the air inside the wall parched his lungs as he tried to fight.

"This is going to need me to use my mana, Azree! I will heal up with a vial after this!" Darius got up, looking at the guardian who seemed to be charging up an attack with the spear in its hand.

’Go for it, partner!’ Azree replied.

The Guardian launched the spear for Darius, it was covered in red hot flames. The heat coming from it burnt Darius’s skin.

He dodged the attack, rolling to the side. He managed to take a deep breath despite the burning air around him.

"Here I go!" Darius launched for the monster, he had no weapons in his hand going for the massive guardian.

On getting to its front, Darius clapped his hand with extreme force.

A massive shockwave came from the clap, sending the guardian crashing into the wall.

The guardian was trying to stand up for another attack when Darius began sending punches made from force to it. Knocking it back down, Darius didn’t stop sending the blows slowly. Darius managed to dent the Guardian’s armour.

"Ahhhh!" Darius screamed as he kept closing the distance, increasing the damage done by his strikes. The guardian managed to stand up. Looking at Darius, it let out a shriek.

An odd green gas came from the shriek. The next thing Darius saw was a spark from the guardian’s fangs, followed by a massive explosion.

Darius leaped into the air, keeping his target on the creature. He let out a roar.

{Dragonic Blast Activated!}

The guard was pushed to the ground. Darius landed on the guardian with his knees, first breaking the creature’s outer layer.

Not letting it stand, Darius grabbed the guardian’s head and let out a devastating howl on the guardian’s face.

{Wrym’s Roar Activated!}

Darius kept screaming till blood could be seen following his howl. The guardian’s face almost fell completely apart from the devastating howl. It managed to push Darius off, staggering as it stood up.

Darius took his balance looking at the beast. He pulled out Ve’xa and charged for the guardian.

"Scatter!" He yelled as the massive blade broke into seven segments. The cleaver-shaped debole launched from the guardian’s head, detaching it from its body.

Darius had won the guardian, his entire body burnt from the heat emitting from the guardian.

"It’s finally dead! Ugly is dead!"Darius sat on the ground.

{Regenerative Ability can only heal 60% of the host’s body!}

Darius’s wounds began healing, he was looking at the temple as he noticed the eyes of the Dragon Statue glowing.

He raised his middle finger to the statue as he stood up to his feet. Opening the inventory, he took a vial of the Erion Elixir.

He drank it, restoring his mana.

Darius stood up, managing to stand on his feet. He might be regenerated, but his stamina was almost gone from facing a monster like the guardian. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

’Darius, the main battle is up ahead. This is where you will lose contact with me momentarily! But I will be able to aid you in some ways.’ Azree spoke up, his words earned a smile on Darius’s face.

"Don’t worry, I will be fine!" Darius picked up the head of the fallen guardian as he walked to the temple. Reaching the door, he didn’t waste time to kick it open, revealing a pitch black temple that had almost no sign of life.

Darius walked in, and immediately, the temple lit up with torches. He looked front to see a knight dressed in red and black armour kneeling before the altar. The torches flared to life, their flames casting writhing shadows that decorated the knight’s armour.

The air in the temple was ominous and filled with dread. Darius felt slight shivers down his spine.

"Inheritor of the evil powers of Chaos, you made it here. I commend your strength." The knight spoke with a voice that was void of emotions, opening its eyes revealing a dark red color that screamed death.

"Yeah, I almost didn’t make it. The welcoming party was not letting through." Darius tossed the guardian’s head towards the knight. "Sorry I killed your guard dogs and whatever it was that it turned into."

Darius wore a sinister smile, he was looking at the knight waiting for him to make a move.

The knight looked at the head of the guardian before it stood up; the being stood at a massive seven feet. Looking at Darius with immense bloodlust.

"You have made it inside Aeres’s temple. For that, I commend your strength, but this is where you fall." The knight spoke with so much ferocity that his words alone sent heatwaves towards Darius.

Darius readied himself, looking at the knight. ’This is it!’
