Legacy Of The Extra-Chapter 28: Mazekin Dimitri(2)
Chapter 28 - Mazekin Dimitri(2)
-Creak.
I pushed open the door of the Inn and entered the establishment dimly lit by the hearth. As soon as I entered the smell of booze and ale filled the air. The place was warm due to fire from the hearth, unlike the streets outside. The place was filled with people and adventurers chatting away with their friends.
Some commoner folk come here to get their drinks after a long day's work, to get the pressure off of their shoulders. Few would just laze around doing nothing and just drinking—A few useless bunch. Adventurers sat with their weapons beside them—Swords, Staves and Axes.
"Welcome," the innkeeper—a woman in her late 30s—greeted me, "Oh, isn't it Sir Dimitri? Your License has been issued?"
"It's almost done, I just need to take the test tomorrow," I replied taking a seat near the counter, "I am a little hungry."
"Of course. What would you like to eat?" She nodded and gave me the menu.
'Let's see' Taking the menu from her hands, I looked over it thoroughly.
"How about this?" I showed a dish to her on the menu, "Pottage with Roasted Meat."
"Good choice, want any drinks?" She asked taking the menu from my hands.
"No, I need to stay sober for tomorrow," I replied politely.
"Right, right," She turned around and raised her voice, "Carla! one pottage with roasted meat!"
"Right away, Ma'am!" Carla responded from the kitchen.
Time passed quickly as I ate, exchanging a few words with the other patrons. I kept my ears open for any mention of bandits or slavers, but all I heard were complaints about the harsh winter.
'And one thing, why are the girls avoiding my gaze?'
This thing always nagged at me. It happened in the guild as well. Whenever I spoke, girls would fumble their words or avoid looking me in the eye. Carla, the barmaid, nearly dropped my food the moment I greeted her.
Am I that intimidating or am I just ugly?
[It's not th—]
Croft again cut off Dante before he could finish.
'That so?' I frowned. But still, it did not matter much because I, now at least don't have tits and look like a gloated sweaty discord mod. And that is all that matters. But still, I don't really get the reactions of the girls, back on earth I had no friends let alone a girlfriend.
Most of what I know about girls comes from the games I played—including the very one I was reincarnated into. Maybe in truth, I was the true smelly discord mod? Just extremely skinny.
[Enough reminiscing. Just go and sleep you have to wake up early tomorrow] Dante spoke acting as if he was my mother.
'Yeah,'
I locked my door, drew the curtains over the wind and sat on the edge of the bed. The room that I booked was not that fancy, you don't find much luxury in a town like this but it is enough for me. I will be here for three more days at most. After that back to Rasendorf to prepare for the Academy.
I came here for only one reason—The Antagonist Aeris Illya Thaloreon.
Her legacy is overpowered because it allows her to use all types of magical elements and manipulate Mana itself. She would be the first member of the Covenant and the guild that will disguise it.
But I will need to expand its operations. More members each divided by their classes—Mages, Warriors and Assassins. I could hire informants to track city events, monitor my influence, and uncover demon activity.
For now, I need a mage, a role Aeris can fulfil. I have an idea for a warrior, but as for an assassin—I have nothing.
It was a very rare class that appeared in the game. No, not because they are less in numbers—The game literally had the Shadow Veils, a faction of assassins.
But their involvement in the story with Raiden is very little.
Lilith had sent the Shadow Veils after Raiden once, but they had been wiped out by the second semester.
That summarises their involvement in the entire game. You can't join them even though you can play an assassin build with Raiden if you choose his third element as the shadow. Well, that makes sense because they tried to kill the man.
So, assassin class would be hard to find and as for me, I am the fucking leader of the Covenant. I won't have much time to play with the members other than command them or use them for my own means.
The covenant can also play a crucial role in my revenge as well.
For my revenge, I am confident but I will still proceed with caution. I am now stronger than Alea and Ikaris but that does not mean I can beat the whole house by brute forcing my way through them. My loving father will definitely take care of me in one single strike.
I need to play by the shadows for which I am grateful that I have the shadow element.
For now, I need to focus on getting the Mazekin license and at least Mazekin rank B. It is the requirement to start the guild and I have four months until the academy to reach this rank. Which should be good enough. If not my weekends will be more packed.
I lie down on the bed repeating the things I need to do tomorrow.
'I hope everything just goes smoothly'

My eyes open to the sound of birds chirping and singing. I slowly sit up, my legs touching the warm wooden floor.
"Good morning, Dante... Croft'
[Good Morning, Noah]

After greeting Dante and Croft, I stretched and walked to the window to pull back the curtain. I gazed outside the foggy window, the whole town was now covered in white.
It was quite early in the morning so the city streets were empty. For me waking up this early was just an everyday routine now. It was all due to Micheal's training.
'I should probably do some training' I still had time for the exam so warming up now would be great. I press on the storage ring and a bastard sword comes out from the warp. It is a gift from Micheal, so I handle it with care.
"Let's start," I mumbled gripping the hilt of the sword. After that, I spent some time practising the swings and combos and other things that I could do inside this room. Outside it is too cold and I prefer to train in privacy. Out of the public eye.
After the training, I asked the innkeeper to arrange a warm bath. After which I ordered my breakfast, and again I don't understand why but the girls were again avoiding me all the time which made things a little clear—I am not getting a girlfriend in this life too. But that should least of my worries now.
After breakfast, I sat down and read books related to Shadow Magic. And when the right time came I headed out of the Inn towards Ravenspire guild. To take part in the test.
Croft cheered me on.
'Thank you'
