Legendary Architect of Apocalypse-Chapter 180: Giving in
Inside the Ninth Grade Battleship, an anxious voice spoke up. "Captain, that person doesn't sound even the slightest bit intimidated. Could they have someone strong inside? Should we give up?"
"Tch, he's bluffing," the captain retorted. "We already have the information that there's only one professor and a bunch of kids inside. Don't forget the reason we came here. The payout is going to be huge. Even if we have to offend the Academy, so what?"
The man in the captain's seat pressed a button and turned on the communication channel again. "I will give you only two minutes to think. If you don't lower the shield, I will blow your ship up. Even if you survive, the children will die."
It was a battle of nerves between the Pirate Captain and Elten. In this battle, Elten was the one at disadvantage since he had to worry about the safety of the children in the ship.
The other side was right. He was strong enough to survive an attack from the Ninth Grade Battleship, but even he would have to suffer a bit from the attack. The children were even more vulnerable.
Even if he survived, it wasn't beneficial for him if the children died as the blame was eventually going to fall on him. The children in the ship represented many great powers that even he found annoying to deal with.
"Lower the shield. Let them take whatever valuables they want to take. As long as they don't take our Engine Reactor, it doesn't matter."
After considering the safety of the children, Elten decided to give up. He was too lazy to fight over some insignificant treasures, especially for something as useless as his ego.
"But sir, if we lower the shield, we would be like sitting ducks. What if they attacked us then?"
"Do you really think this shield can resist the onslaught of a ninth grade ship? It would only be able to buy us a few minutes worth of time before it is destroyed. Might as well save it some trouble."
Elten tossed his back on the chair, and covered his face with the book, closing his eyes. With his feet, he flipped a switch to turn off the shield, removing the last bit of protection that the ship had.
The staff within the ship opened the gate, granting the pirates an easy entrance.
"See? I told you that he was bluffing! In the end, he gave up so fast. Tell the second group to board their ship and bring the target back. Oh, and don't forget to steal some valuables while we're at it."
The Pirate Captain let out a hearty laughter. "With the bounty, we would probably be able to buy at least a semi-ninth grade battleship, making us even stronger. All thanks to the employer."
The Eighth Grade Battleship that was stationed parallel to Academy's Ship moved closer, and established a passage between the two gates.
Pirates carrying the high grade laser weapons and covered in armors that were made from combining different pieces that didn't belong together, entered the Academy's ship.
They laughed like crazy, and spread out within the Academy's Ship and started robbing everything valuable that they came across.
They didn't even check what was within the storage rings of the children, and stole the entire ring. There was no room, and no hallway within the battleship of Dimensional Academy that wasn't checked thoroughly by the Pirates.
Some of them even barged inside the Control Room, where they found a few men standing around, carrying looks of disgust towards them.
There was also one person, who was lying on the chair, with a book covering his face.
"He is sleeping at a time like this? Not bad. At least he won't feel bad when we rob him clean until he wakes up."
A pirate walked to Elten, aiming with his weapon. The other pirates also started snatching the rings of the crew that didn't resist.
He tapped the book a few times with the barrel of his gun to see if the man was actually sleeping or not.
"Take whatever you want and don't bother my sleep," Elten's muffled voice came from under the book as he raised his left hand which had a very ordinary storage ring.
As he kept everything within a spatial realm, he didn't really use the storage ring. He just wore it for the show, and didn't care if it was taken away. He could buy hundreds of such rings for cheap.
"Tch, at least you are wise enough." The Pirate pulled the ring from Elten's fingers. He kept the ring in his pocket, and left the control room with the other pirates.
"Have you found the target?" In another place, the pirates were rushing across the corridor when a voice came from their earpiece.

"We are still looking for the target. We have already finished searching through most of the ship. It shouldn't take long," the Pirate said, before stopping across another door.
He banged on the door a few times, and asked, "It's a robbery! Open the door, unless you want us to barge inside and kill you!"
The door soon opened with a click, and the Pirate saw the person on the other side. He raised a brow, trying to match the facial features with the target.
"Tch, it's not him either," he mumbled in frustration. He barged inside the room, and started searching for anything valuable, especially since the boy wasn't wearing any storage ring.
"You bastard, are you so poor that you can't even afford a storage ring?" This was the first time that he didn't find anything valuable from a room that had a child staying inside.
He almost felt like smacking the boy in the back of his head in frustration. Not only did he not find the target, but he also didn't find anything worth his time.
"I am too poor to afford anything valuable," Elias answered, shrugging innocently. "That's why I am the last ranked in my class, almost about to be expelled."
"Tsk, what bad luck." The man turned around and left the place, unaware that the person he just came across held the most valuable things within the entire academy.
