Legendary Architect of Apocalypse-Chapter 179: Death Flag
"You talk as if I was rubbing after him with a sword to chop her arm off," Elias sharply retorted. "Whatever happened to her hand, was an accident."
"Good luck trying to convince her father of that when he finds out about you." Astralious let out a dry laugh. "Then again, it was worth it to win the Ice Phoenix Flames."
"Why does it look like you are eager to watch her father beat me up?" Elias raised a brow. "Whose side are you even on?"
"Of course I'm on your side." Astralious pumped up his chest, and stood proudly. "Moreover, it's not as if they can even find out that you were the one who did it. If they had a way, they would've already found you."
"You know, where I come from, there is a saying that perfectly fits you right now. It's called raising a death flag. So can you stop doing it? I might not be superstitious but still I don't want to test a death flag."
"A death flag?" Astralious tilted his head sideways. "Is it some treasure flag of the Ashborn Family? What does it do?"
"It gives you bad luck," Elias vaguely answered.
"Hah, just that?" Astralious burst into laughter. He placed an arm over Elias's shoulder in a friendly manner. "You don't have to worry about it then. Isn't your luck already bad enough? It's not as if it can get any worse when it's already rock bottom."
Elias's lips twitched uncontrollably. Did this person raise a death flag about his luck as well?
He opened his lips to respond, but before he could say anything, he saw Astralious point towards the window.
"Hmm? What's that?" Astralious frowned in disbelief. "A ninth grade battleship in a place like this?"

There was a battleship that was missing parallel to the Academy's battleship. And it didn't have the symbol of the Academy either. It wasn't the battleship used to pick up the students of the Creator Class.
After looking carefully, Elias noticed a glimpse of another battleship that was traveling behind the grade nine battleship.
"An eighth grade battleship as well. Are they pirates?" he mumbled.
The battleships had no symbol on it. There were no markers to recognize the owner, something that pirates did to keep their identity secret from the forces of the upper world.
A ninth grade battleship wasn't just faster than their battleship, but it was also stronger. The pirate battleship moved past their battleship, and blocked their path.
The Academy's battleship was forced to slow down, and came to an eventual halt when facing the unknown battleship.
The eighth grade battleship that was moving parallel to them, also prepared to attack.
The electromagnetic guns started getting charged, and lightning flickered around the barrel of the unique looking guns of the sides of the battleship.
Elias couldn't see it, but he was certain that the pirates didn't just target them from one side. There was a battleship on the other side of their ship, aiming for them.
There were probably also a few battleships behind them, prepared to attack. They were surrounded from all sides, and any movement might result in an attack from every side.
Even if he didn't count the ninth grade battleship, there were still at least three battleships surrounding them, which were ready to attack at a moment's notice.
"See? That's what a death flag does," Elias rubbed his forehead in frustration. Even if they were representing the Academy, they were still targeted by mere pirates.
"This doesn't make sense. They should know that our ship is carrying the descendants of the major forces of the upper worlds. Even after that, they are targeting this ship? Are they foolish? Or do they not fear death?"
Astralious also found it hard to believe. Even if he was the one who said that a few pirates overestimated their abilities and attacked the forces of the major families, even they weren't foolish enough to make enemies of the Dimensional Academy.
"Dogs of the Academy, listen well!" A loud voice came from outer space, echoing in every room of the Academy's battleship. "We have surrounded you from all sides. Your life and death is in our hands."
"We can destroy you whenever we want. So you better listen to us if you want to pass through the chaotic lands safely!"
The voice made almost everyone within the Academy's ship panic, especially when they looked out the window and saw the weapons ready to attack.
"What do they want? If they want treasures and money, just give everything to them! Our life is more important!"
"I don't want to die here! My father is very wealthy! As long as you let us live, we will give you lots of money!"
"My father is a Warlord. If you touch even a single hair on my head, he will wipe your seven generations!"
Many voices rose from within the rooms, belonging to the students. Some negotiated for their safety, while the others resorted to threats. None of them knew that their voices didn't reach the enemy battleships.
Elten was sitting in the control room of the Battleship, his face covered with a book. He was having a nap, but he was abruptly woken up by the house.
He lowered the book, and looked at the ninth grade battleship aiming straight for them.
With his feet, he tapped the red button and activated the communication, "What do you want?"
"Lower your shields, and open the doors! My men will enter your ship, and take everything that we find valuable! Once we are done, you will be allowed to pass through," the Pirate King replied.
"If you don't agree, then I would blast you into oblivion, and have to scourge through the wreckage to find valuables." He didn't forget to end with a threat to let the Academy know what they were dealing with.
"Do you realize who we are? Are you sure you want to do this?" Elten asked lazily as he slowly closed the book.
