Legendary Oops System-Chapter 51: "Love the Pain, White"
"He’s alive!"
"He’s still alive!"
The hand tore through the crack of the ground, dragging itself out of the sunken pit and up to his feet.
White wobbled here and there after the rise, his arms flailing by his side.
Still, even through the gashes and the aching bones, his mouth held an incomprehensible grin as he looked forward at Irasul.
"Now, that...was insane, hehehe!"
White grinned, insane cackles leaving his lips.
"Come...let’s end it with a BANG!"
He said as his right hand slowly reached out, fingers morphing into a gun shape.
[Energy: 20]
[If you use Limitless Collapse now, you’ll be completely out.]
The system panel flashed, but to White, it was all a blur that he couldn’t make out.
Irasul, in response, tried to move, the space around it constricting, but it never teleported.
The action made it pause, and it turned to Inumaki, who dangled in its claw.
Only then did the world remember him.
The boy had shrunken down, appearing bonier, like one deprived of life.
He looked to have aged considerably, his pitch-dark hair having turned grey at the ends, and more strands were turning grey as the second passed.
White followed Irasul’s gaze and noticed Inumaki’s state, too.
It made his grain fade.
His hands hovered outwards towards Irasul, fingers shaking in preparation to unleash Limitless Collapse, but in the end, his hand fell by his side.
"Even with all of your power...you’re still stuck with him, aren’t you?"
He asked, and in the next moment, Irasul tore out its claw from Inumaki’s chest, allowing the boy to fall flat to the ground.
The second that happened, the massive slit in the air reappeared, unleashing a force that slowly dragged Irasul back into it.
But even as it disappeared back into the darkness, its face remained imprinted towards White, who also kept his gaze on it until it completely disappeared into the darkness, the slit in the space mending.
What remained was Inumaki, aged on the ground, and White littered in bloody marks, but still standing on his feet.
"WINNER! WHITE SINCLAW!"
The announcer announced as Health Instructor members rushed into the battle stage, carrying Innumaki and rushing out of the arena with speed.
They came to White, too, but he waved them off.
"I’m fine."
"You’re not! You’re covered in cuts, and 60% of your bones are broken! You need medical help!"
A female health instructor said in worry, but White ignored her, stepping away.
"I said I’m fine."
He said once more, and in silence, they watched as he walked away, disappearing through the arena’s back door.
________
DING!
The elevator made a ding sound as White stepped out.
He paused, noticing someone at the corner of his blurry vision.
It was a young man with dark hair, slowly turning his head to White.
The sight of the battered-looking boy led a flicker of surprise to cross his eyes, but then his expression remained unchanging.
"You look worn out."
He commented, turning away to look back through the balcony.
White resumed his steps, bringing out his dorm room card.
"You should see the other guy."
BEEP!
His door made a beeping unlock sound, and he stepped in, shutting the door.
The dark-haired boy remained on the balcony for a while before turning to look at White’s entrance door.
There, he could still see the red blood gathered, and he stepped away from the balcony, crouching down by the blood.
His hand reached forward, and with a finger, he scooped a bit of the blood in his hand before proceeding to take a lick of it with his fingers.
"Pain..."
He said after the taste, but then his body shivered all of a sudden, his brows wrinkled in confusion.
"Lust?"
"But...for what?"
_____
The second White stepped into his living room, his knees tried to collapse from the weakness, but with sheer will, he prevented that.
He walked all the way to his cultivation room, where the filled pool of essence energy that had been gathering all through the past week was waiting.
Only when he reached the edge did he finally fall, his body quietly submerging to the end of it.
[Congratulations, you trjy orkl hssokn...]
The golden panel flashed, but White couldn’t make sense of the words due to his blurry vision.
Essence energy filled his lungs, and after quietly staring at the room’s ceiling, his eyes slowly closed as he lost consciousness and drifted into sleep.
________
"Why do you hate it?"
The melodic voice echoed through the broken battlefield.
A lady with a beauty beyond this world sat down on a broken crimson throne placed atop a mountainous pile of corpses.
Both human and supernatural.
Cross-legged, she sat, both of her hands cradling her pale white face, her lips wide open, revealing the sharp fangs.
She looked down dreamily at the end of the corpse pile, where lay a young man dyed in crimson.
He was on his back, gasps of pain escaping his lips with each passing second, as he looked up at the broken crimson sky, struggling to hold on.
"Why do you fear losing yourself to the pain?"
The melodic voice rang out once more, and a couple of bodies came falling as the lady quietly stepped off the corpse mountain, descending onto him.
She sat down by his side, then raised him to her thighs.
"Don’t be afraid of the pain."
She whispered into his ear, her hands turning into claws, and quietly they dug straight into his chest, gripping at his pounding heart.
SPLURRRRT!
Blood spluttered out of his lips, teeth clenching, but then,
CRACK!
The sound of bones cracking resounded as her second claw dug into his cheeks, cracking his jaw and leaving his mouth wide open.
Then her claws moved to the corner of his mouth, pulling both sides until the man came to appear as if he was smiling.
"Love it. Love the pain, White...and you’ll be closer to me than ever."
