Chapter 51 - Hook Up

The mall was bustling with life as Kazuma and Masako walked hand in hand, enjoying their casual day out. The scent of fresh pastries from a nearby bakery lingered in the air, mingling with the faint aroma of perfume from passing shoppers. They had spent the afternoon window-shopping, teasing each other over clothes and gaming merch, until Kazuma excused himself to use the restroom.

"Wait here for me, sweetie," he said, gently squeezing her hand before disappearing into the crowd.

Masako smiled, leaning against a railing as she pulled out her phone. The moment she opened her social media, she was immediately flooded with notifications—comments and likes on their recent posts, fans gushing over their latest game updates, and, of course, a sea of admiration for their relationship.

"Couple goals!"

"Masako is literally the most beautiful woman alive, and Kazuma is so lucky!"

"These two are proof that true love exists!"

A small giggle left her lips as she scrolled through the endless stream of admiration. She truly loved their fans. They always showered her and Kazuma with love and respect.

But not everyone was so respectful.

A few feet away, two guys had noticed her.

"Damn..." one of them muttered, nudging his friend. "Look at her. She's cute as hell. Look at that face, that waist... and those thighs. And bro, those—"

His friend smirked. "She's a total bombshell. Should we go talk to her?"

Masako, too engrossed in her phone, didn't immediately notice when they approached.

"Hey there, cutie," the first guy said smoothly, stepping into her space. "What's a gorgeous girl like you doing here all alone?"

Masako barely glanced up from her phone. "I'm waiting for my husband."

The two men exchanged a quick look before the second guy chuckled. "Oh, come on, you don't have to lie to us."

"Yeah, no way someone as hot as you is married."

Masako finally looked up, golden eyes narrowing slightly as she sighed. "I am married."

They didn't seem to care.

"Look, sweetheart, you don't have to pretend. We're just saying you deserve a guy who appreciates you, you know? Someone who knows how to really treat a woman like you."

Masako tilted her head, amused but also a little annoyed. "Oh? And what makes you think my husband doesn't treat me right?"

The first guy smirked. "Because you're here alone. If he was a real man, he wouldn't leave a fine woman like you unattended."

Masako rolled her eyes. "Tsk, tsk. So desperate." Then, a mischievous glint sparked in her golden eyes as she placed a hand on her hip. "Tell you what, if you really think you can handle me, why don't you come play with me?"

The two men exchanged excited grins.

But before they could say anything else—

A firm, familiar arm wrapped around Masako's waist.

"That won't be necessary," Kazuma's voice cut in sharply, his blue eyes locking onto the two men with an icy glare.

Masako's heart fluttered at the sound of his voice.

The two guys stiffened, taking in Kazuma's presence for the first time. Despite his lean build, there was an unmistakable intensity in his eyes—possessive, protective, and ready to put them in their place.

"This is my wife," Kazuma continued, his tone cool but laced with warning. "So why don't you two do yourselves a favor and walk away?"

The guys quickly looked between Kazuma and Masako, realizing their mistake. "Shit, man, we didn't know—"

"Yeah, our bad. We'll get going."

They turned and walked away without another word, clearly not wanting to start a fight.

The moment they were gone, Masako turned to Kazuma and wrapped her arms around him, pressing her face into his chest.

"My hero," she murmured, squeezing him tightly. "I swear, I don't know what I'd do without you."

Kazuma chuckled, brushing a hand through her hair. "You'd be just fine, sweetie. But still, I'm glad I came back when I did."

She leaned back to look at him, a soft, playful smile gracing her lips. "Mmm... You should have let me mess with them a little more."

Kazuma sighed. "You really like making people suffer, huh?"

Masako smirked. "Only when they deserve it."

He kissed her forehead. "Come on, let's go get some bubble tea. You deserve a reward for being so patient."

Masako giggled. "Now that's why I love you, dear."

Hand in hand, they walked off together, leaving behind yet another moment where Kazuma had proven why he was the only man who could ever stand beside Masako.
