Love Strategy: CEO He is Really Scheming!-Chapter 802: Reunion With an Old Friend, Feelings Difficult to Express
This time, she dragged him into trouble.
Zachary Houston is a popular young actor with abundant resources. Ever since she was targeted by that person, his engagements have nearly dried up.
Many who originally sought him for acting and endorsement deals abandoned him overnight, turning instead to other popular young stars.
"Lydia."
A familiar voice reached her ears, and Lydia Brooke trembled all over.
Ana glanced at the man walking towards them, her eyes flashing with admiration.
This man looked somewhat familiar, but she couldn’t recall where she had seen him before.
However, judging by his suit, a pricey foreign brand, he must be someone of wealth and status.
The man’s gaze remained on Lydia Brooke, drawing closer step by step, standing directly in front of her.
Lydia Brooke’s eyes also settled on this person.
Jorge Saxton—at this moment, why would he appear here?
Did he notice when her role was replaced?
"May I treat you to dinner?" Jorge Saxton looked at Lydia Brooke, his eyes deep and smiling.
Lydia Brooke hadn’t spoken yet when Ana instinctively declined, "Sorry, our Lydia is not accepting any dinner invitations today."
The shadow left by Producer Forest’s incident was too overwhelming! She needed to protect Lydia from being exploited!
Just as Ana finished speaking, Lydia Brooke unexpectedly nodded in agreement, "Okay."
"Lydia Brooke." Ana looked at her in disbelief.
A few days ago, for a role, she attended a dinner where Producer Forest kept forcing her to drink and took advantage of the situation, trying to harass her. Had she forgotten all of that?
"Let me thank you for you and your sister helping me out last time." Lydia Brooke avoided Jorge Saxton’s passionate gaze and looked at Ana beside her, "Ana, you go ahead, okay!"
Ana looked at Lydia Brooke, then scrutinized Jorge Saxton again, "Then I’ll leave, remember to call me if anything happens."
Lydia Brooke has always been calm, and it seemed she knew this man; otherwise, she wouldn’t agree to this dinner.
"Mm." Lydia Brooke nodded.
—
An elegant and quiet Western restaurant.
Jorge Saxton walked to a window seat, gentlemanly pulled out a chair, and gestured for Lydia Brooke to sit. Lydia Brooke sat down gently, "Thank you."
As soon as Jorge Saxton sat down, a waiter immediately approached, handing them the menu, "What would the two of you like to order?"
Jorge Saxton pushed the menu toward Lydia Brooke, "I’m not familiar with this restaurant, you go ahead!"
Lydia Brooke took the menu without hesitation, and when her fingertip landed, it happened to touch Jorge Saxton’s hand, a sensation like an electric current coursed through their bodies.
Lydia Brooke immediately withdrew her hand, awkwardly avoiding Jorge Saxton’s gaze.
Jorge Saxton, however, kept his gaze fixed on her, noting how her hands were still so cold. Come winter, her whole body is like an ice block.
Lydia Brooke looked up, meeting Jorge Saxton’s eyes full of affection, causing her heart to skip a beat.
The waiter, noticing they hadn’t ordered after a long stare, kindly reminded, "You two."
Jorge Saxton snapped back to his senses, quickly ordered a few dishes from the menu, concealing the concern in his eyes.
To ease the awkwardness, Lydia Brooke picked up the glass of plain water in front of her, sipping to avoid Jorge Saxton’s gaze.
"Why did you leave the Clearflower Estate without a word that day?" Jorge Saxton asked, deeply gazing at her.
"I did inform your people," she replied.
She recalled waking up that day to find him lying beside her, in an unfamiliar place, an unfamiliar room!
She hurriedly got up. Fortunately, they still had their clothes on; otherwise, she would have truly thought something had happened between them.
However, how did she end up with him? Wasn’t she drunk from being force-fed by Producer Forest at that time?
