Love You Till the End-Chapter 919 - 918: Holiday
It’s hard to say whether it’s Qi Jingren’s secrecy that’s making Su Jiuyi feel somewhat uneasy, or if there’s some other reason. She let out a muffled "oh" and looked down at the stones beneath her feet, saying nothing more.
No wonder Song Zhike would say that everyone has secrets.
"Why is your dress wet?" Shi Aoju noticed a wet patch on her dress.
Prompted by Shi Aoju, Su Jiuyi quickly remembered that she had run out of the restroom earlier, forgetting that her dress was still damp and now clinging to her skin in a very awkward manner.
"It’s all because of you," she shook out her dress, a tone of complaint in her voice, "Those wealthy young ladies who adore you always cause me trouble."
Shi Aoju heard this and couldn’t help but raise his fine-looking lips, "For them to cause you trouble, it must mean you’re a threat to them."
With that, he turned and left.
Su Jiuyi: "..."
What did he mean by that?

As it approached five o’clock, the sun was about to set, and the crowd at the banquet was not as dense as it had been at noon.
Shi Aoju glanced around and found that Old Sir Qian was no longer there, probably because he was too old to stand under the sun for too long, and had gone to his room to rest.
"Let’s go home," he said calmly.
When Su Jiuyi heard this sentence, she felt momentarily dazed. It was the first time anyone had said "Let’s go home" to her in her entire life.
She looked up at Shi Aoju; the sunlight was blocked by his figure, making his silhouette appear as if it was framed in gold, dazzlingly bright. The expression on his handsome face was still cold as always, but his eyes were like a gentle lake, filled to the brim, almost overflowing.
Su Jiuyi’s breathing became somewhat rapid, the heart in her left chest cavity pounding fast, as if trying to break through the barrier of her ribcage.
A few children frolicked past them, their laughter breaking the moment between them, and Su Jiuyi snapped back to reality, nodding slightly.
The sunset’s afterglow spilled forth from the golden disc in the sky, the rippling waves dazzling, the light casting fleeting shadows.
As the car drove back to the Shi Family home, Su Jiuyi sat quietly in the car, but her feelings were exceptionally complicated.
She was somewhat confused about her relationship with Shi Aoju; originally they had been forced together due to an accident, and later had to search for evidence to uncover the truth, almost losing their lives. In the end, for her own safety, she moved into his home to work.
If it weren’t for those two physical encounters, she couldn’t imagine having any connection with this outstanding man beside her.
So she was somewhat puzzled as to why he would explain things about Qi Jingren to her.
Was it because she and Qi Jingren were good friends, or was it just that he wanted to explain things to her?
Her thoughts were a bit chaotic, and she couldn’t help but lower the car window, looking at the scenery outside.
At dusk, the western sky burst with brilliant clouds, and the evening breeze felt warm against her face. The shaded roads were teeming with mosquitoes, buzzing and chasing about, and the aroma of various flowers wafted in from somewhere, rich and overwhelming.
Actually, if you calm down and take a look, the world is still beautiful.
The Shi Family home seemed very quiet, only a few bodyguards were left at the entrance, the previously imposing team had disappeared. Su Jiuyi was a bit surprised and glanced questioningly at Shi Aoju beside her.
"Today’s the designated monthly holiday," he said, "The servants and the housekeeper have gone home."
