Love You Till the End-Chapter 921 - 920: You Don’t Like Fish?
In the Shi Family’s backyard, there’s a lot of fresh vegetables planted, with only rare varieties flown in.
Su Jiuyi discovered a fish pond in the backyard, filled with edible fish, and couldn’t help but think Shi Aoju must like fish; otherwise, he wouldn’t be raising them.
Maybe I should make a fish dish.
After deciding what to do, Su Jiuyi planned to go into the water to catch a fish.
Actually, given the environment she grew up in, she developed a habit of being independent, so she’s not afraid of a lot of things, except for being naturally afraid of water.
After rolling up her pants and getting into the water, Su Jiuyi was incredibly nervous, and seeing the lively fish swimming around, she didn’t know how to start.
When Shi Aoju passed by, he happened to see Su Jiuyi trying to catch fish in the water. Her movements were very awkward, and after a long time, she still couldn’t catch a single one.
He squinted slightly, observing her for a moment. Seeing her actions, he couldn’t help but want to laugh.
Hearing his laughter, Su Jiuyi immediately turned around. Seeing him watching her from the shore, she couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow.
Is it that funny?
Shi Aoju gave her a sidelong look and asked flatly, "You want to make fish?"
"Yeah, my fish dishes are particularly delicious, like a top chef!" Su Jiuyi boasted without a hint of modesty, but seeing him frown slightly, she couldn’t help but ask, "Do you not like fish?"
Shi Aoju originally planned to ask her to make another dish but didn’t want to ruin her mood, so he relaxed his frown and said calmly, "No, I like fish."
"That’s good." Su Jiuyi curved her lips into a smile.
Seeing the smile on her face, Shi Aoju spoke up, "I’ll help you."
Actually, Shi Aoju had never caught fish like this before, although he’d done a lot of fishing. His father loved fishing and would often make him accompany him to fish at the pond the Shi Family bought. They would often sit there for half a day, enjoying the beautiful scenery by the lake and discussing the increasingly competitive business world. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
Shi Aoju got into the water and asked a servant to bring over a fishing net. After observing the fish swimming happily in the water for a moment, he spread out the net and quickly scooped it into the water.
The pond splashed up a wave of water, soaking Shi Aoju’s pristine white shirt, and Su Jiuyi standing by the side wasn’t spared either.
Before she could see clearly what had happened, she only saw his swift movements and the water splashing onto her. Then, there was a struggling fish in the net in his hand.
"Amazing!" Su Jiuyi couldn’t help but praise him.
To avoid getting the smell of fish on himself, Shi Aoju stretched his arm out as far as it could go. Noticing the person beside him still not making a move, he glanced sideways at Su Jiuyi and said coolly, "Hurry up."
"Yes, yes, yes," Su Jiuyi quickly came back to her senses, carefully observing the flopping fish, then reached out to catch it.
The two of them got back to shore. Shi Aoju’s dress pants were soaked more than halfway up, while Su Jiuyi’s clothes were dripping with water.
But Su Jiuyi didn’t care whether her clothes were wet and quickly put the fish on the ground, picking up a hard object from nearby and closing her eyes as she struck at the fish’s head.
Seeing her miss the fish multiple times and hit the ground instead, Shi Aoju’s face was exasperated: "Hey, aim a bit better."
"Okay, I’ll try."
Su Jiuyi insisted she would try, but it turned out to be just talk.
The fish continued flopping energetically on the ground.
