Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 105: The Hunting Party
Arielle gripped Lucas’ hand harder, asking the man to turn around to accompany her. Lucas let out a long sigh and regained his composure. It was really not his character to be easily angered like this.
"Your Majesty, if you feel uncomfortable with your two siblings, just tell me so I can report it to His Majesty. His Majesty will punish them," Lucas said.
Arielle shook her head slowly.
"No, they are still my two siblings," answered Arielle faintly, making Lucas shake his head sadly. Arielle was too good to the people who had bullied her. Lucas promised himself he would be more careful in the future.
The two of them left the Whitethorn Palace for the Colosseum, where the nobles gathered for the hunting party. Arielle actually didn’t like this kind of activity.
She always couldn’t bear to see the dead animals that the knights and princes brought home. They would boast of their catch by rewarding their greatest game for their women.
"You don’t look excited, princess," Lucas said, seeing Arielle’s gloomy face.
He wondered if it was because she was still scared by her sister.
"From the beginning, I don’t really like hunting parties like this. It breaks my heart to see the animals they hunted."
Lucas, who just heard that, covered his mouth in surprise.
(Gosh, what would His Majesty do if he heard Princess Arielle’s words just now? I’m sure His Majesty will bring home the biggest animal from the forest to hand over to Princess Arielle)
Lucas became even more worried. He didn’t want King Ronan to get a bad impression from Princess Arielle.
"Er.... We don’t do such activities often. This is only done to welcome Prince Alexis and Princess Andrea, who are famous for their love of hunting. Er... His Majesty is also actually a person who likes animals," Lucas said hurriedly, making Arielle smile.
"You don’t have to lie, Lucas. His Majesty the King is not an animal lover. You’ve been with him longer, don’t you know that?" asked Arielle with a sad smile that made Lucas swallow his saliva nervously.
Of course, he knew that the king was not a lover of animals. Lucas was just trying to get the princess not to think badly of his king.
"You don’t need to worry, Lucas. My appreciation of King Ronan will never change just because of this event. Even though the king is not someone who can have great empathy for animals, to me, he is still a great king for his people."
Lucas turned to the princess then smiled in relief. "Your Highness, you are so kind," he said, making Arielle laugh.
Even so, their momentary chat still couldn’t erase the guilt that swarmed her heart.

The hunting party had begun. It was attended by several nobles. Dukes, Marquesses, Barons, as well as several knights, wanted to prove the seriousness of their feelings to their women by successfully bringing home their game.
Since Prince Alexis came with Princess Andrea, Alexis registered his younger sister as the recipient of the game if he got one.
Ronan stepped through the crowd, causing the people around the Colosseum to step aside to make way for him. The king came on stage dressed all in black, ready to find the best game in the forest to give to someone.
Everyone around was a little dubious of anticipating who the lucky lady whose name was written by the king was. Normally, they would not be too interested because the king had never written a woman’s name as the recipient of his game before.
However, recently, rumours emerged among the nobles of the North, especially the nobles in the Capital that a princess from the South had become a close friend of the king. Even some of them had crossed paths when Arielle visited the Cathedral.
They were also aware of Arielle’s presence at that time, but no one dared approach to say hello because Arielle was accompanied by one of the king’s personal bodyguards, Lucas.
Arielle, who was looking at how many people were around, was suddenly confused by the people who gasped. They seemed surprised by something, but Arielle didn’t know the source of the commotion just now.
"Lucas, what’s wrong?" asked Arielle, feeling confused. She noticed some of the noblewomen in front of her turned to look at her.
"Lucas? Why are they suddenly looking at me?" Arielle grabbed Lucas’ hand feeling strange about the awkward situation.
Lucas just smiled then whispered so the people around him wouldn’t hear. "His Majesty King Ronan wrote your name as the recipient of the game."
"Me? Why me?"
"Maybe because you’re his friend at the moment."
Arielle looked at Lucas, and it seemed that the man meant what he said. Arielle should be happy, but she couldn’t. The girl then tried to smile, pretending to look happy so that Lucas wouldn’t feel guilty like before.

Andrea, who also just joined after coming from Arielle’s room, noticed her sister looking uncomfortable by the crowd around her. Andrea tightened the ties of her coat around her body as the wind blew its cold air.
The woman smiled as people’s attention from Arielle turned to her. Her ears could hear the whispers of women who were wondering who she was. They should all already know, judging by her dress, which was prettier than theirs, and her shiny blonde hair like Prince Alexis’ hair, who she really was.
Ah, sure enough, those people soon realized that she was Princess Andrea Dellune of Nieverdell. The younger sister of Prince Alexis, whose name was written as the recipient of her brother’s game.
Andrea then walked past the noblewomen of Northendell. She raised her eyebrows when she realized how most Northern women had larger statures than her.
The women had paler skin because they were rarely exposed to the sun. In addition, blue irises dominated, even though some of them had black irises.
Tania smiled at Arielle. The old woman couldn’t greet Arielle at all because she had to serve two people at once. When Princess Andrea chose the farthest seat which was usually occupied by the most important people, Tania also followed.
"I hope Tania can rest and not too tired," said Arielle.
"Of course not. You spoil Tania too much, Your Highness. Even though she has entered the age of fifty, Tania is still very agile," Lucas replied.
The Colosseum Square had now been converted into a large outdoor dining area. The place where knights were usually trained was now changed with the addition of several dining tables for the waiting women. A stage had been prepared for the announcement of the winner.
Several officers began to circle the field as the preparatory bell rang. The women who had gathered now stood up to approach their respective men, including Andrea, who walked to the front row. Lucas also invited Arielle to meet the king.
King Ronan and Prince Alexis were at the forefront of the hunting party. They both rode their respective horses. Alexis immediately dismounted from his horse when his sister came after him.
"It seems that our guess is correct. Arielle and His Majesty the King seems to have a close relationship," said Andrea. She made sure the ties of her brother’s coat were secure enough. It was a normal precaution lest her brother would get cold in the forest later.
"You have proof?" asked Alexis.
Andrea smiled lopsidedly. She patted her brother’s chest, making Alexis curious.
