Chapter 104: Andrea’s Intimidation

Dinner ended awkwardly. After challenging Prince Alexis to shoot a deer in a hunt, King Ronan left the dining room with Arielle.

After three days passed, Arielle felt confused by everything that happened. For the past three days, Tania had been assigned to serve Arielle’s two older siblings, and she had not been allowed to talk to her siblings at all.

Lucas was always by her side. In fact, whenever Arielle passed Andrea or Alexis, Lucas always asked her to go somewhere else with the excuse that the king had summoned her.

Every morning, Arielle still made breakfast and accompanied Ronan for breakfast, but after her studies were finished, Lucas would immediately lead her into her room. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖

Tomorrow was Andrea and Alexis’ last day in the North, the invitation from the king to the nobles of Northendell had been sent out. The palace became busier than usual because several royal guests were staying at the palace before the day of the hunting party.

Arielle was not used to crowds, so she preferred to stay in her room before tomorrow. The painting of the king had been completed, but still, there was no opportunity for Arielle to give the painting to him.

When Arielle grabbed her coat to follow the group of women to the hunting grounds, suddenly, the door to her room was opened so loudly that the girl jumped in surprise.

Andrea, who was already dressed neatly, closed the door behind her. Arielle didn’t invite her sister, so she was a little nervous to find her sister visiting her room.

"Sister Andrea? Um... Is there anything I can help you with?" the girl asked Andrea. Her voice trembled slightly.

Andrea observed her sister’s room carefully. The room was more spacious than the room she occupied in this Whitethorn palace. There were many gold ornaments that adorned Arielle’s room.

Near the fireplace were two medium-sized wolf statues. Arielle’s bedroom balcony was also much more spacious than hers, with stunning glass windows. From there, Andrea could even see the view of the whole palace gardens below.

"Hm... this room is too beautiful for a prisoner," Andrea commented, feeling the injustice.

She was the oldest princess, so naturally, she always got more than Arielle. She was a direct descendant of a king and queen. However, here she received less service than an illegitimate child of the king.

Andrea threw her body on the sofa and then turned to Arielle, who was still standing tensely near her bed.

"Finally, after these few days, we can have some time to talk like sisters. Come here. Don’t you want to talk to me?" Andrea asked in a very soft tone.

Arielle then complied with her sister’s wishes by sitting on the opposite sofa.

"So you don’t want to talk about your relationship with King Ronan?" Andrea’s question just now almost made Arielle choke.

She didn’t expect her sister to ask such a strange question. Relationship? Of course, she had a relationship with the king. Arielle was a prisoner from the South who was held captive in the North until the South returned a new wolf.

"I am a prisoner here, Sister. What relationship are you referring to?"

Andrea snorted. She remembered Alexis’ words to win her youngest sister’s heart. They had to make sure that Arielle still wanted to return to the South. The woman leaned towards Arielle and smiled sweetly. Arielle held her breath due to their very close distance, and her face blushed as Andrea stroked her hair gently.

"My sister, Arielle. My hunch as an older sister is that you really have something going on with King Ronan. Have you ever been forced to warm his bed?"

"Sister Andrea!" Arielle exclaimed, surprised by the vulgar question just now.

"Wh-why do you ask me such a question? Sorry, I’ll go first. We-we should hurry up and meet with the others to go to the hunting ground," Arielle said, stuttering a little because she was afraid of her sister.

Arielle rushed to take her coat then left Andrea, who raised her eyebrows, still feeling suspicious. Arielle’s heart was pounding very fast because it was the first time she had raised her voice to her sister, especially Andrea. Her body began to tremble, and the girl was looking for a wall to hold her body from falling. Her legs felt weak.

Lucas, who had just returned to call Arielle, was surprised by her condition. She looked so weak, leaning against the palace wall.

"Princess! What happened? Why do you look so weak? If you feel sick, I can ask His Majesty to allow you to not attend today’s activities. I’m sure His Majesty doesn’t want you to force yourself."

A worried Lucas offered his hand for the princess to hold.

"Let me take you back to your room to rest."

"No!" cut Arielle quickly.

Arielle still felt weak from the adrenaline surge after raising her voice to her sister. She did not dare to meet with Andrea again. Arielle wanted to hide.

"Why, Princess? You look pale."

"Lucas, we’d better hurry up to meet with the others."

"But your condition-"

"Come on, let’s go..." blurted Arielle, who was in a hurry to leave her room.

Lucas looked up to see the princess’ bedroom door open from a distance. His jaw clenched as he watched the woman he had been keeping as far away as possible from the princess was in Princess Arielle’s room. Lucas immediately knew what scared Arielle to death like this. It was Princess Andrea.

The man’s eyes narrowed in response to the sharp gaze of Andrea, who was now facing him.

Lucas growled in anger then asked Arielle, "Your Highness, what did Princess Andrea do to you? Did she say something that made you uncomfortable or did she try to hurt you?"

The man looked really angry. He had only left Arielle alone for less than five minutes due to some palace needs, but the guest from Nieverdell had used the opportunity to make Arielle like this.

The anger Lucas felt was a combination of feeling angry at Princess Andrea, which scared Arielle, and also at himself for being so negligent that he gave the woman the opportunity to approach Arielle.

He had been ordered by the king directly that he should not leave Arielle with her two siblings alone without supervision. He blamed himself for his failure.
