Chapter 589: The Queen Of Northendell

Within a week, Northendell had turned into a very warm place. It was no different from the wedding of the king and princess of the South, many people flock together to the capital city to see for themselves the coronation procession of their queen.

More than thirteen years they did not have the figure of a queen. Now they had a place to put a new hope.

In the cathedral, the royal guests as well as the royal family and representatives of the citizens had arrived to witness Arielle’s coronation as Queen of Northendell.

Sprinkled with flowers and in white and gold, the cathedral was decorated with a variety of diamonds. Several priests who had the power of light magic stood along the red carpet that Arielle would walk through.

All the guests stood and sang a hymn to the Moon Goddess. At the front stood Irene in her all-white dress and a white ribbon that tied her hair elegantly. William, Lazarus, and Kael stood beside her.

Arthur asked not to attend the procession because he didn’t want to be seen by the public and preferred to hide instead. He would congratulate Arielle when they were alone.

In the back seat of Irene stood Sasha, Aimee and also Tania and were followed by Lazarus and Kael’s respective families.

William just stood alone with Irene without having a family companion.

The Ferdi couple and Baby Crimson were also present. Several guests from Frostmount Village also came. Sebastian, the butler of Ronan’s manor in Frostmount Village, brought July and Junia with him. They were the two girls that Arielle once helped on the hill behind the manor.

On the opposite was the royal guest, where Archie, King Petra of the Wolgast Kingdom sat on the front seat. Behind him was Duke Ambrose who stood with the representatives of the Thebis Kingdom and each of the other kingdom’s higher-ups.

Priest Louise came as the one who would preside over Arielle’s coronation ceremony. Behind him walked Priest Elis who served as his father’s assistant, bringing the crown and the oath book to be signed by Arielle.

Priest Jill announced Ronan’s presence. The cathedral door was then opened from the outside and revealed a man with jet black hair that was neatly groomed with a sharp gaze. The man was no longer wearing the mask they used to remember. Some of them, who were surprised, immediately lowered their heads because they were used to seeing the king with his mask. Somehow, without the mask on, they feel reluctant.

Ronan walked elegantly through the red carpet. William smiled, seeing his friend’s confidence who had finally dared to take off the mask he had used for a dozen years to hide his wounds. So did Lazarus and Kael who smiled proudly at their friend’s incredible progress.

Ronan was invited to sit on the throne, which was prepared on the altar. The man sat upright waiting for Arielle who would also arrive soon. With his red crown and fur coat, Ronan looked very majestic. He looked like a man who had the world under his feet.

Several girls in the room who had never seen the king’s face tried to steal glances. They had attended a party on the king’s birthday before, but the man still wore his mask. Now they finally could see the face that was always hidden behind the mask. It took their breath away for a few seconds. Not a few of them were blushing shyly.

Even though on his right side there was a wound that ran long enough, the king still looked charismatic. Thick eyebrows, with a sharp nose, thin lips, and sharp jaw, the king really was a stunning man.

Even though they acknowledged the king’s handsomeness, they couldn’t look at him for long because the intimidation they got was much greater. The red irises with those piercing gazes seemed to hold a thousand mysteries that they did not dare to look at.

Just as Priest Louise was preparing for the procession, the cathedral doors suddenly swung open again. This time, it was not Arielle who arrived, as there was no announcement from Priest Jill. Everyone turned to the side and saw a tall and big man with shoulder length red hair arriving in a long cloak all in red and gold.

His chin held high as he looked down at everyone in the room. Ronan frowned at the presence of a guest he had never expected to come. And the way he came in... was really rude. If it weren’t for today an important day for his wife, Ronan would have drawn his sword and tugged at the hair while dragging the man out of his palace.

Several guards prepared to drag Maxieno out of the room, but Ronan raised his hand.

"Tch, human. They smell really bad," he said, then stepped forward.

Maxieno looked at Ronan who was still sitting in his place. Ronan rolled his eyes and pointed to an empty seat beside Archie.

Maxieno shook off his clothes dramatically and sat in the front seat. He told Archie and King Petra to move away because he had to be at the forefront. Archie and King Petra almost protested, but suddenly they fell silent and their feet unconsciously shifted by themselves. Maxieno smirked in a haughty manner, then sat down in his place as everyone else stood up.

Ronan gave the sign for the procession to continue. Maxieno just tapped the floor with his feet while everyone else was singing again, which was very unpleasant to his dragon ears.

Until a man in a white robe, Piest Jill, announced that Arielle had arrived. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

The cathedral door opened and Arielle was seen wearing a beautiful dress with floral embroidery that had a slight gold thread. On both shoulders was a white robe that also hung gracefully on the back.

Her short hair was left down, but a small part on the right side and her facial features were tied in a double ponytail and tied back with a gold ribbon, making her shiny white hair stand out beautifully.

Arielle opened her eyes to see a path that would lead her to a new life. In front of the door, she folded her right leg back and then gave a curtsy to Ronan who was sitting on the throne of the altar as a king. She would follow to the king’s place in a moment.
