Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 588: The Day Before Coronation
"How do you know this restaurant?" Ronan asked after checking how narrow the restaurant was. Everything looked clean, but some chairs and tables were quite close together and there was not much space inside.
Arielle pulled Ronan’s hand to sit at the long table facing the seller.
"I was told by Aimee. They say the boiled fish here is really delicious."
She then ordered two plates of boiled fish with each side dish. Ronan just silently waited for Arielle to order whatever the girl wanted.
As the two of them waited for their orders to arrive, a little girl’s voice made Ronan pull down Arielle’s hood so that her face would not be seen by others. The child then sat beside his wife and ordered the same food as Arielle ordered.
"Why is that kid sitting next to you?" Ronan whispered
"It’s fine, maybe she’s comfortable there," Arielle replied, calming over Ronan who didn’t like having other people sitting next to his wife.

Chapter 175
The food that Arielle ordered had arrived. She lifted her hood slightly to taste it. Then, she could feel a pair of eyes staring at her intently. Even so, it did not stop her from eating her food.
The food served was delicious. Arielle was really grateful to be able to taste it. She would thank Aimee for recommending this place. Arielle turned to Ronan who was also tasting his food.
There was a trace of soup stuck to the corner of the man’s lips. Using her index finger, Arielle wiped the leftover soup from the corner of Ronan’s lips. The man turned and chuckled lightly. After finishing their lunch, Ronan then invited Arielle to continue their short trip.
As the two of them left the restaurant, they passed by a man who was also wearing a thick coat. Arielle stole glances at his chopped hand. She also briefly met the man’s eyes, but because the man was wearing a scarf, his face was covered so Arielle didn’t recognize him.
Arielle followed Ronan who had left the restaurant first. The man who passed him froze on the spot then turned his head once again to see Arielle and Ronan who had left the restaurant.
It was still noon, and Arielle chose to look around the city. Although the scenery in Northendell seemed monotonous with buildings as well as houses and piles of white snow, at least seeing people gathering and having fun together was something that Arielle rarely encountered in the South.
Ronan said that because the North was a cold place, some of the residents sought warmth by bringing their social ties closer to each other. Not only to seek warmth, but their interaction was also something that kept them surviving in the cold of the North.
"But, recently I got reports that some people are starting to leave the North," said Ronan sadly.
"Hmm? Why?"
The reason was classic. Now the North was getting colder and they could no longer hold out in this place. Slowly but surely, they began to decide to leave the northern land to get a decent life elsewhere with warm sunlight all round the day.
Arielle embraced her husband. They now stopped on one of the city’s high roads, and she could see the hustle and bustle of the square. Ronan leaned his elbow against the iron railing and looked down at where everyone was busy with their own business.
He could also feel that the cold in the North was getting out of control while the priests with the flow of mana opened were limited in number. Besides, recently, cases of death by hypothermia had increased drastically. Usually, if they were lucky some of them would trigger their bodies to open the flow of mana, but since the last two months none of them had managed to have their flow of mana open.
Except for the people Arielle helped out at Birwick.
Arielle came closer and rested her head on Ronan’s shoulder while watching the people passing by below them.
"You won’t be abandoned, Ronan. One or two people leaving won’t matter because new people will come as well. There will be a time that people change. Generations also change, so don’t be too sad."
What Arielle said was very true. It was just that Ronan felt a little guilty about abandoning his kingdom for a whole month because he couldn’t contact his beloved wife. He couldn’t control his feelings, so he had hurt a lot of people. Ronan just felt... he didn’t deserve to be a king.
His father was probably not an ideal king either. King Arthur was a type of nobleman who would protect his fellow nobles and rich people, while Ronan was the opposite. He had also expelled some people from the North because of their out-of-bounds intervention in the kingdom’s affairs. Ronan didn’t know if all the things he had done now had proven his worth as a better king or was it the same as the previous kings?
The wind blew, and Ronan’s hood was lifted. Arielle then fixed the man’s hair.
"You sure seem to have a lot on your mind. Something bad happened?" Arielle asked.
Ronan shook his head. He looked up at the gray sky without the slightest sunshine. If they were in Nieverdell at this hour, they would be sweating a lot from the heat.
"No, nothing particularly. I was just wondering whether I have become a decent king or not. So far I’ve only thought about my own importance," said the man while looking up at the sky above him.
Arielle rubbed Ronan’s back and looked up at the sky too. She put her head back on her husband’s shoulder while fiddling with the man’s fingers.
"You are the best king, Ronan. You listen to your citizens’ problems. You give them many opportunities to live decently. Maybe you don’t realize it, but those little things really help them a lot. Why would they come to the palace if they didn’t trust their king? They come because they believe that you, their king, can definitely help solve their problems," replied Arielle, making Ronan smile.
"Thank you. But, I feel like I’m still too selfish."
Arielle shook her head disapprovingly. "You’re not selfish at all. You are the kindest person I have ever met. You are willing to do whatever it takes to protect the citizens as well as the people you care about. One or two bad habits will not erase the thousands of good deeds you have done. After all, we are only human. Not a perfect angel."
"But, you’re an angel," Ronan said, making Arielle chuckle.
"Me? No way. I’m just an ordinary human like you too. I’m not perfect at all, Ronan. I have a lot of flaws."
Ronan put his hand behind the girl’s back while pulling her slowly. He shook his head in front of Arielle as the tips of their noses grazed lightly. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶
"Na ah. You are my angel. You’re just soooo perfect, Arielle. I am lucky to have been trusted by fate to be your mate."
"Ronan..."
CUP!
Ronan kissed Arielle. His lips pressed gently against hers. Then, the man started to devour her lips so passionately that Arielle had to stop their kiss because they were still in a public place right now.
Ronan was still leaning forward until an old man passed them from behind and cleared his throat. Ronan just glanced at the old man who had left and hugged his wife’s body again.
"Hey, Arielle," Ronan called softly while still giving the girl’s a kiss on the head.
"Yeah?"
"Are you ready to be my queen tomorrow?" asked Ronan while resting his chin on Arielle’s shoulder.
The girl nodded his head firmly. "I may also not be perfect at all. Maybe in the future I will often make mistakes, so I also ask for your help to teach me. I hope you don’t mind that."
Ronan shook his head. "Not at all. Same with me. If I made a mistake, please remind me. You’re my wife, so you will always walk by my side. We’re in the same position, so don’t hesitate to remind me if I make a mistake."
Arielle nodded again. Then, Ronan hugged the girl from behind tighter, making Arielle feel ticklish because Ronan kept trying to kiss her.
"Thank you for making me feel better. I feel lighter now that you will be my queen tomorrow," she said.
Arielle hugged her husband’s neck then hugged him tightly.
"Starting tomorrow, I can help you. You can rest more often."
"Thank you, Arielle. I love you."
Arielle smiled then nodded her head. "I love you too, Ronan."
In the midst of his tired work, Ronan felt at peace again. Breathing fresh air once in a while like this and running away from responsibilities did feel great. Ronan tightened his arms around Arielle’s body.
Tomorrow, they would start a new journey as husband and wife, and also as the King and Queen of Northendell.
